6:03 agreed! Jealousy is so useful, if used properly. The shaming around just experiencing the emotion is counterproductive.
For me, the first thing I do when I realize I feel jealous about something is say it out loud. Depending on our relationship, if it's appropriate, I try to tell the person I'm jealous of. It makes the emotion much less intimidating. Also, it helps my mind sort through my desires and figure out exactly what it is that I really want. Most likely, it's not a xeroxed form of what the other person(s) have. It's usually my interpretation of it, plus tweaks to make it even more suited to my unique life and needs.
