I am still in Round 1,but I already have to comment how much I enjoy this. Videos of complex games with a static view of a single camera are hard to watch on a phone, because everything is too small. You zoom to every detail of what you are doing. Very clear and fun to watch!
Well thank you so much! It takes a bit to do all the camera moving but feel like it helps viewers follow along! Appreciate you watching and commenting!
Hi Colin, another time you perfectly show us how to play a more complex game. Many thanks. I love the sound of your voice, how happy you get when you achieve something special, and all the time you sound like the most relaxed person in the world. Therefore, it is a pleasure to watch your videos. Great job again.
Thank you Colin, excellent intro! This feels so thematic :D Already ordered and am really looking forward to play with my friends. As I understood it is from the same designers who created Lost Ruins of Arnak. Really like the graphics too ^^
Outstanding play through. Between this and the CGE teaching video, I feel like I don’t even need to read the rulebook to play (obviously I will!). Thank you for your hard work putting this together!
Lovely playthrough as always. Agreed that the camera move and zoom is totally worth it from a watcher perspective. I have a big stack of unplayed Essen games, but this is tempting now.
The best thing about this runthru is that it's super informative. The worst thing is that you are too good at this game and make me feel like the worst player ever :) One thing I couldn't follow is how did you get so much income? Was that all from collecting data? I don't see you are orbiting the income planets.
Haha!!! I would have to rewatch it but I think some of the cards i played also helped with credit income!! I tried to lay out hope each turn worked so that is easier to follow along! I had to play 4 or 5 times to start getting into the groove with this one as there is so much going on!!
Thank you for this amazing play through. This is my most anticipated game of this year! And it's interesting that you linked your SpaceCorp video--another game on my most wanted list! Which game do you prefer?
Thank you for watching!! Yes i linked that game as I felt they were similar in nature for sure. This one has much nicer production and the multi use cards and rotating solar system is so cool... but SpaceCorp you have 3 eras and i like the differences each one brings. You truly feel like you are expanding to other galaxies etc. Both games are quite long to play even in solo. I think I would lean ever so slightly to SpaceCorp due to the fact it have 3 eras in the game. But you can't go wrong with either!!
Amazing playthrough! Love the theme but the heavy euro/victory point finale put me off. Wish they could have figured out a way to incorporate the theme into the win condition. Thanks for sharing!
I TOTALLY get that, and I usually do not love VP only games. The theme was strong enough on this one to let it slide haha! Thank you so much for watching and commenting!!
1:02:47 - wouldn't the AI keep placing them on the larger sector since that sector isn't resolved yet? For a human we would definitely go for the other yellow sector. Thanks for the playthrough!
@george_castle ohhhh yeah i don't think it will over commit one it wins a sector. It will want the extra data and those 2 points at the other yellow location! Certainly could be wrong!!
Had been curious about this game, and wow is it a complex looking game, but looking no way it'd fit on my tablet ever so I guess it makes it easier to be a pass for me as much as I'd love to
@@MeetMeAtTheTable It's stil not correct after your note. You start with the resources you see on the starting card before you flip it. So it is 4 reputation + 4 credits + 3 energie + 5 cards. Although you explained it correctly you forgot to take the credits and energy in that step, what have led to the incorrect starting income. Then you choose one of your 5 cards to tuck it underneath the then flipped starting card for the extra resource. You don't get the income of the whole 2 card stack in the beginning. So in your example you would have had to have 4 credits + 4 energy after the starting set up.
Best playthrough of this game I have seen so far, thank you very much for your excellent playing and explaining it.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting!! The game is quite cool!!

You can do it!! Just start doing Actions and it will all of a sudden come together!! Good luck my friend!!

The graphics are so clear and the combos are so juicy!! It is a lot heavier than Arnak just so you know! Thanks so much for watching!!
Struggling a bit with my first foray into the solo yesterday. Wonderful to watch this one. Thank you.
So glad to help! Thank you for watching and commenting!!
Yeah, I really want to get hold of this one! Thanks for the playthrough.
It's a doosie!! The board is amazing and the cards are amazing... it is super long though so be ready for that!
Great video - and great channel! Liked and subscribed 👍
Thank you so much 👍

Thanks so much it was an endeavor but it's a boost to play!! Good luck on your solo play!!!

Thank you so much!! It's quite good if you enjoy solar system games which i know i do!! Hope you can give it a try!
I didnt know you had left the OSCS until a couple of weeks ago. 😅 So good to hear your voice again, and this playthrough was so fun to watch. 😁
Thanks so much for watching and glad you found me here!! Been having a blast with Bairnt!!

Well done Sir!
Really appreciate you watching!! This was so much fun to make!!

@@MeetMeAtTheTable Thanks for the information! I guess I will just have to add both to my Christmas list! :D
@johndavidharding yes you will haha!!
btw, the QR code ist on the map also, a little bit hidden but its there!
Oh really?? Now I need to look!!

I recommend the soundtrack for FTL (by Ben Prunty) when playing this.
Sweeetttt!!!

Isn't that what we did? They're are 2 yellow sectors and they finished one and started another right? Thanks so much for watching!!!
@ oh I meant keeping it all in the same sector not starting another one.
@george_castle ohhhh yeah i don't think it will over commit one it wins a sector. It will want the extra data and those 2 points at the other yellow location! Certainly could be wrong!!
Makes sense. Thanks for taking the time to respond. Just got it and really enjoying it.
@george_castle no prob it's a great game!!! Have fun!!
Hi, great video, did you enjoy the solo mode ? Worth it to buy only for solo ?
Yes!! There is a ton of replay in solo mode!! But be wary it is quite long so you need to have time to play it!! Thanks so much for watching!!
@MeetMeAtTheTable Thank you, how long the gameplay takes, around 1.5 h, like your gameplay ?
Somehow I missed this! You've got it about 1.5 hours a play did you end up getting it??
Had been curious about this game, and wow is it a complex looking game, but looking no way it'd fit on my tablet ever so I guess it makes it easier to be a pass for me as much as I'd love to
Yeah it is NOT a small game or a short one but it is so good... it is also huge!!! Thanks so much watching!!
FANTASTIC gameplay!!!
Really a terrific job.
But got bit scared about play time. How long a solo play would take in real life?
Thank you so much!!! At least 2 hours at first minimum. It is not fast. Once you get a couple paid id day 90 minutes is the fastest!
Can I steal that intro for a horror flick?
Hahaha!!!
at start you begin with 4 Credits and 3 Energy (and 4 fame)
I jipped myself of a credit! Thanks for that I'll make a note!!

So if you now also play and explain Phoenix New Horizon Solo, then I’ll be happy. 😊
I've never heard of that one!! I'll look it up!
Wait… what? Do you have 2 YT channels?
I moved over here about a year ago!
