I’m from a boxing family and I’ve been watching boxing for70 years, and I absolutely agree. Mexicans and called warriors for a reason and do run or tie up. They stand in the pocket and it’s Mano e Mano. It’s what boxing is supposed to be.
Great style of fighting no doubt about it but let’s no kid each other the best boxers in the world are Black American fighters. Their skills are unmatched.

Mungia is as STRONG AS A BULL. NO ONE has survived Canelo to go 12 after getting hammered early on in the fight. He didnt fight to survive like most have, he hung in the pocket at close distance ALL FIGHT. Do people realize how absurd that is against Canelo? WILD. I left with a TON of respect for Mungia after this one. RESPECT.

I predicted when the fight was first announced that Canelo would win. I thought Canelo might KO Jamie’s based on what I had seen before. I saw the same aggression from Mungia but he wasn’t as reckless. I could see Freddy’s influence. The difference was the experience and you could see it in Canelo moving slightly but staying in position to counter. I don’t think Jamie had ever been hit by anyone with Canelo’s power and once he felt it, it had to make him understand he could get KOd, especially after he got knocked down. Jamie is a true Mexican warrior with great talent. He has a great future in boxing and will be around for a long time. He showed what he is made of in this fight. Much respect for this young man. Canelo doesn’t have anything left to prove. I expect maybe two more fights if the money is right and then he will retire. He comes to a fight in perfect condition and he knows himself. When he knows he can’t do that anymore, he won’t hang around like Roy Jones or Ray Leonard. He has too much pride to go out like that.
We all knew he was gonna win. Munguia is really good but he wasn’t ready to come up in weight and fight the best that quickly. He made it exciting though.

mexicans in the 80s and 90s were not that good as no mexican was ever undisputed or become champions above welterweight.
Julio Cesar Chavez and Salvador Sanchez are both all-time Mexican greats from the 80s
@@mikebarnes1873 salvador sanchez never unified with the WBA featherweight champion Eusebio pedroza as he was a high risk low reward despite him beating would have made him an undisputed champ. samething with julio cesar chavez. yes he was a 3 division champ, but never an undisputed champ as he refused to also fight WBA lightwelterweight champion martin coggi. you also proved my point as neither was a champion above welterweight. even at welterweight mexican fighters were ok. for example pipino cuevas was a dominant champion at welterweight perhaps more dominant than salvador sanchez, but once he lost to tommy hearns his career took a huge nosedive.
Canelo is doing what Mayweather did. Wait until Pacquiao, De La Hoya, Mosley get old, fade, lose, or get knocked out. Then Mayweather will fight you when you’re not in your prime. Canelo will wait for Benavidez to fade, lose, or get knocked out. Then Canelo will fight Benavidez when Benavidez is no longer in his prime for whatever reason.
