Logical move by Horizon and I totally expected it. The thing is..... I've heard all the "reasons", but GEEZ LOUISE...JUST RE-RE THESE THINGS IN 1/10TH ALREADY! I think we've proven that we're going to buy them up. Vintage class is at an all-time high in popularity!
@@mikebinsufficientfundsraci748 EXACTLY!!! It's to the point that we can't maintain our vehicles anymore bc of the shelf-queen collectors. I know Losi lost the molds in "the fire" but there has to be enough demand for some repro parts for JrX, XX, XXX, XX4, and the trucks.... :(
amen brother! The protecting the vintage market argument doesn't hold up. The price of vintage RC10's was not impacted by the Associated rereleases and prices are crazier than ever. It did put a lot of new parts out there to get some old RC10's on the track or at least complete again. I wish the World's Car was a permanent car in the line up because I honestly thought that would usher in a new age of widespread vintage racing. I got one gold pan and two world's rereleases but they were shelved until I had time to get to building them and now those in the box bring crazy money.
@@joeorsini2171 Man, you are on to it! I think AE was testing the waters back then with the ReRe's. There was a huge boom in retro RC in like 2014-15. @@bigpapapump8418 I was REALLY hoping for an RC10T rerelease because that was my favorite to race back in high school. I'm sad we did not get it. Most of the pieces were there, it wouldn't have taken much for them to get there. I've got several of the Kyosho kits and think they are an AWESOME idea. I've bought a ton of Tamiya kits over the years because they were about the only way to get anything that wasn't a full blow racer as a kit. There's a market for this stuff.
This is a really awesome release from Losi, the JrxT is such a good looking truck, runs nice too. And yes it would be nice if they where 1/10 instead but hey this is still frekkin cool.
pennies more to make it 1/10 sales would have soared many times more. theres some cars i have to get but i wont buy a mini. traxxas blue eagle and losi jrxt are at the top of my list 1/10 or nothing.
Great to see Losi recognize that you deserved another early release. Will definitely pre order at my LHS, maybe two. Also hope with another release maybe we’ll see some true aftermarket love. Awesome to see them driven how they should be, rough track with friends 👍
I know that you can get an aftermarket brushless motor for the mini JrxT.. on Horizon's page they give you some additional recommendations... think I might upgrade this to brushless.... You can always click on the link in the description and order one there ???? Either way, thanks for the comment and support.. Glad you enjoyed the video and the best part of the hobby is making friends with other people who enjoy it too... Thanks again,
I love losi is doing this, im so happy they keep expanding the mini line. I'm really hoping they expand back into the micro line. There's nothing like ripping round the coffee table on a rainy day.
@@RCRetro It's gonna be the Pro, boss. They've just made the chassis and the front shock tower it needs.....just like bitd. Didn't you notice that little body clip on this truck's front tower.....? 😉
I went to the hobby shop yesterday in the hopes of finding the brushed Infraction on sale, but missed out. The mini Losis caught my eye but was a bit skeptical of the quality and durability from reading bad Amazon reviews. I decided to bite on the Mini T 2.0 and it's worth every penny. Way too much power for the chassis, but such a blast! Taking it out on the dirt today. The tires are amazing.
Thanks Ari! I just saw your video and did not know this was coming! With it being a limited edition I went and pre ordered one as soon as you got to that point in the video! I was an associated guy BITD and had an RC10, RC10L, and RC10T that I raced. I've got a really mint JRxT roller to make a shelf queen one day and I have always wanted to build one of the original five link cars\trucks from a kit but figure that will never happen. These are nice, I'd rather get a 1:10 release but these will have to do. I disagree with Losi on the impact on the vintage market. Associated putting re-re's out there hasn't sunk the prices of vintage cars and the parts availability has gotten more cars back running and the re-re parts are different enough the community can tell them apart. In any case these mini Losi's are awesome to have and I appreciate you putting this out there so I could score one!
Glad you enjoyed the video and even a bigger thanks for ordering one. I too would love a 1/10 rerelease but I'll take whatever I can get... Its such a great looking stadium truck. I wish Team Associated would do another rerelease... specifically the RC10T.. That would be mint!
awesome review and running footage , and i dont think that it would effect the current vintage market as a re-release is always recognized as such and vintage will stay vintage the upside is giving another generation of enthusiasts the pleasure of an old time marvel of rc racing thanks for the cool video

Easily 15-20 mins easily. Closer to 20 and maybe more. We ran both trucks together for about 10 mins and then did the chase footage and then I started to film the individual footage of the one truck running around the track last and that was still on the original battery before it dumped.
Another great video and a nice surprise. I was waiting for these to drop but the info from horizon/Losi was pretty limited. They did the ad in RCCA and then nothing on the Web. I don’t really understand the reasoning of doing a limited run. Horizon wants to make money. They should make more kits. They won’t see any gains when the prices of the limited run go up on the second hand market. The only thing I could think is if they wanted that first run to sell out ASAP. I will admit that having an engraved motor plate from the run is pretty cool. Do you know if there is any swag with the pre-orders like they did with the buggy?
Nah not this time.. I would have loved a hat the first time around.. didn't get one 😥... Agreed, something like that for the JrxT would have been cool...

Man, these are gorgeous, but why the limited edition?? I don't get it. You'd want to buy these in pairs to enjoy with friends or family and do small backyard racing, EXACTLY like you did... The more, the merrier! I hope they release a non-limited edition... but surely it won't come with this great livery, and we won't get replacement "Stewart-Toyota" bodies either, to be able to drive them hard and enjoy them as intended. I think it's a cop-out why they didn't make a 10 scale of this because they're trying to preserve the vintage market it makes no difference even if they brought a new one out it would still go for a lot of money even after limited edition it makes no difference it's newer or older. The newer and older ones will always go back up in price.
