Avenza Maps For Android and IPhone. Add Maps Layers and Waypoints!!

What's up Dummies!? Today I give you a down and dirty look at how to add maps, layers, and waypoints to Avenza Maps. I have been using Avenza for years now and I love it!
It does however, have some quirks. Avenza is not a good program for traveling across country or long road trips. The way Avenza works is you must download a map for each area you go. So for instance if you are traveling from one forest to another, you will have to download both maps separately and they will only be useful once you enter into the mapped area. Once you enter the mapped area a blue dot will indicate your location with no cell service needed.
Another quirk is that if you have a GPX or KML file such as The Florida Adventure Trail or The Georgia Traverse, you will have to download multiple maps for each file and import that file to each corresponding map. The Florida Adventure Trail covers 1200+ miles through tons of mapped areas, so you would have to download each mapped area and load the file to each map. Kind of a pain in the ass....
The alternative would be to use a program like Gaia Maps or OnX Maps. Those are both full GPS maps that will allow you to load A large file once and it be shown in its entirety. They both also have more detailed maps of National Forests and some State Forests.
