That's because RD350 has superior Japanese engineering that way ahead of its times. It comes down to engineering and soul of the motorcycle Something modern does not mean it's engineered well
@@user-nxvybdi I agree about Japanese engineering, though "way ahead of its time" typically doesn't mean much. As this guy said, it came to India at least 5 years after its launch elsewhere. It was likely way ahead of India's time in 1983, or even 2023 ;-)
It seems in was back in 1972, when RD350 was actually "ahead of its time." This documentary shows more: ruclips.net/video/yHuA4gtEFPk/видео.html&ab_channel=bart
Thank you Yogesh for the catch up over a coffee at the cafe this evening, it was indeed my pleasure to talk about this legendary machine from the past - The one and only "RD 350" 😊 Indeed a well compiled vlog.
My brother's RX 100 1987 is still parked under our stairs, tho' not running. I chose the new 1989 Kawasaki 100 over the Yamaha. RX 100 was 98 kg and 12 bhp. Kawasaki was 109 kg and 10.5 bhp. KB was not as fast, but it was planted like a bullet.
.....kb had a longer wheelbase of 1260 mm as against the 1245 mm of the rx, this was the reason of the kb 100's stability, plus the kb had never seen features at that time like a tachometer, fuel gauge, kill switch, parking light etc and the forte of the kb was its carburetor which was hidden in the engine crank case to save it from dust and from getting stolen . Kawasaki was indeed a better machine 😊😊
@@ampassionstruck9138 I had zero issues with it for the whole decade that I rode the Kawasaki. Took it all the way to Hanuman Chatti. It cruised easily and plantedly at 90 KMPH. That makes it sad that even today, all theses bigger Indian mobikes hardly do much better comfortable cruising speeds.
India has reached the moon, but Indian bikes haven't even caught up with this bike from 40 years ago. Sad but true.
