Thanks! yeah I just really wanted to do a one take cover with no audio editing. I did about 5 takes and this was the cleanest one - it was good practice for switching through the pedals haha!
Thanks, that’s an awesome comment! I may be able to post some tabs sure, but basically I just looked at Dave Doing Guitar’s tutorial for this song and made a few small changes.
@@mattbucknerguitar my pleasure Matt. Literally just recorded one for Shed in the last hour so that'll be out in a week or two as well 👍 I'll pin this video in the comments on the tutorial too so people can see it in action. Awesome job again :)
Cheers! It goes like this: Tuner - Sentry (sentry loop - Xotic SP - KMA Logan - 1312 ) - donner chorus - DD200 - Afterneath - ditto I recently removed the ditto from the board though because I never really use it!
goodafternoon sir, what effects did you use in the intro where it sounds like a static windy dust (ssuuuuuusssshhhhhhhhhhhhssshhhh) .. i've been searching for that tone still can't find it. hope you help me hehehe thank you so much. keep safe sir. new subsciber here =)
Thanks for subscribing! This is done using the Boss DD-200 going into the EQD Afterneath. I'm pretty sure for this it's on the pad echo setting with a short time and high feedback so it sort of creates a drone. Play something with the volume rolled off on your guitar and then swell the volume to begin the drone. Play around with the feedback and mix so that it doesn't totally self oscillate and take over everything. I think my settings were something like this: Time - 99 Feedback - 93 E. Level - 11 o'clock Param- 75 Tone - 30 Mod depth - 70 These same settings also sound pretty wild with the drum delay too! And I think as long as you have a delay that can turn feedback right up to self oscillate you could find a similar effect. Then just run this into a reverb pedal to smooth everything out.
@@onlyshallot yeah stock pickups, I really like them. Don’t think they’re any noisier than any other single coils are when driven. They did used to have a lot of hum when rolling off the volume a bit, but i sprayed some contact cleaner in the volume pot and seemed to fix it. I do think quality control on these guitars is pretty bad - I’ve had to swap out the toggle switch for a switchcraft one, the stock one was really crackly and clunky.
Thanks! So it goes: tuner - Sentry (then in the sentry loop it goes Xotic SP - KMA LOGAN - Black Mass 1312) then Donner Tutti chorus - DD-200 - Afterneath - Ditto (but I wasn’t using the ditto for anything here) I think the Xotic SP was just adding some attack and pushing the drive pedals a little bit 😊
Thanks! I’m pretty sure for this it’s on the pad echo with a short time and high feedback so it sort of creates a drone, play around with the feedback and mix so that it doesn’t totally self oscillate and take over everything. So I’m using a Blackstar HT5-mkii on the clean channel on the ‘American’ (fender) setting - I really don’t like the overdrive channel on this amp. It only has a single EQ knob and a volume knob on clean channel so pretty limited! EQ is at 1 o’clock, volume at about 2 o’clock. I’d say the tone is really down to the pedals here.
always been my favorite Title Fight song. awesome cover.
Thanks 🙏🏻 Yeah I love this song!
love the pedalboard cam, have wanted this in covers for so long

This sounds awesome! You should do more title fight covers !!
Thanks! I think I will at some point, just need to find the time
I second this.
The Sentry is so good for those noisey single coil pickups. Best gate in the game.
The best Lefty cover on RUclips imo
Wow thanks that’s a hell of a compliment 🙏🏻
@@mattbucknerguitar you’re welcome man. TF has been in my headphones for like 10 years+ so that was awesome to watch
YOU ARE INSANE!!!
my favorite tf song!! also i love the shining poster in the back.
Cheers! It’s one of the best films ever
super clean 🥶
Thanks friend I appreciate that 🙏🏻
Sweet, man! Love your axe, too.
Thanks! It’s a vintera modified, I swapped out the tort guard for a parchment one and black plastic hardware
I have one of those 1312s and I love it!
It’s so good isn’t it!
@@mattbucknerguitar My favorite drive I own.
Great job man, please do more
Cheers! I’m working on a safe in your skin / where am I cover at the moment - stay tuned 🤘
Sounds amazing Matt!!
Thanks Sean!
awesome
Thanks!
amazing
Thank you!
awesomesauce
Thanks!
This cover is awesome its the best one ive heard and i was wondering u could drop a tutorial or smth or even just a link for tabs
Thanks, that’s an awesome comment!

pls making more songs with pedalboard!!
Sounds great dude
Thanks a lot 👌
Damn, I subscribe
Appreciate it!
Great guitar, tone, and playing dude. Nice one from New Zealand!
Appreciate it :)
Awesome cover! Was wondering what pedal was that in between your compressor & looper?
It’s a chorus - donner tuti love - cheap Amazon pedal and surprisingly good!
Great tone and playing! Can you run us through the signal chain?
Cheers! It goes like this:
Tuner - Sentry (sentry loop - Xotic SP - KMA Logan - 1312 ) - donner chorus - DD200 - Afterneath - ditto
I recently removed the ditto from the board though because I never really use it!
Nice
Thanks
You nailed it! What amp are you using?
Thanks so much! I was using a Blackstar HT5 MKii on the clean channel and the British (Marshall) Voice.

Tuner - tc Sentry - Xotic SP - KMA Logan - black mass 1312 - donner tutti chorus - Boss DD200 - EQD Afterneath - tc ditto
Where did you get the backing track from?
What its the name of the chorus you are using?
It's a Donner Tutti Love (weird name for a pedal haha) £30 from Amazon!
