Honestly the line "you can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness" is really true for some people, I don't wanna throw a pity party for myself here, but I've struggled with depression for a while (I'm on meds for it so I'm okay c:) and sometimes the sadness can get "addicting" in a way. i love this song so much. it brings back memories of when i was younger, i always went to an after school club. there was a much older girl there, i'd say she was possibly year 10/11 or grade 11/12. she always sang this song and she was really kind to me, i felt so special under her care. then a new kid came and he became the centre of her attention (he was about my age at that time so 7 ish she was just being kind). slowly we talked less and less until she became somebody that I just used to know, i still think about how nice she was to me and everyone else. sometimes I wonder were she is now and what she's done with her life. i don't think she ever knew how much she impacted my life and how she was the only reason i liked the after school club.

i love this song so much. it brings back memories of when i was younger, i always went to an after school club. there was a much older girl there, i'd say she was possibly year 10/11 or grade 11/12. she always sang this song and she was really kind to me, i felt so special under her care. then a new kid came and he became the centre of her attention (he was about my age at that time so 7 ish she was just being kind). slowly we talked less and less until she became somebody that I just used to know, i still think about how nice she was to me and everyone else. sometimes I wonder were she is now and what she's done with her life. i don't think she ever knew how much she impacted my life and how she was the only reason i liked the after school club.

I loved the original song dearly as a child, dancing to it every almost every hour. My mother danced with me and said she played me songs to try to get a creative side out of me. I slowly forgot the song but the verse was still in my mind. I finally once found the song again but my mother wasn’t really happy because she said it ‘played out’. Now that I found the slower version it fits it way more. I can picture one of my worst fears happening it here but still being ok in the form of art. Thank
