Yes the Mallers announcement was impressive as now it is possible to make retail purchases without the need of traditional financial networks. After last year's conference I tried opening a Strike account but could not get past the KYC hurdle. I am not sure if it is the lighting in my apartment or an old photo on my license but KYC has always delayed opening exchange accounts. Fortunately many conference videos are being uploaded to RUclips.
It will be interesting to see how quickly LATAM adopts this technology.

It will be interesting to see HOW they adopt it to. When I got to Colombia in 2010 it was fascinating to see the MINUTOS sellers on the streets. I imagine the tiendas/papelerias could benefit greatly from this tech.

If dont sell your bitcoin, and get all your friends involved, were the main themes of the conference, Im sorry to say that is how scams work. Uts s giant trap, the more I learn sbout it. Fascinating to watch greed overwhelm all sense.

I´m very aware of this. Then I consider what is required to keep fiat currencies going and I see even worse more uncomfortable consequences. The paper money in our pocket is empowering the powers that be.
We live off grid or attempt to shift the poles of power to new systems, that yes will face similar uncomfortable ideas about hierachical power.
