Very Nice I have been doing audio editing for years finally an audio editing software for DJ's my only concern is that the presenter moves a little too fast in his delivery. Other than that I like and I will be using it. Thank you.
Love everything about this program, but still haven’t grasped the hang of it all. The few tutorials aren’t that easy to follow. I love to mix my own songs my way, so using the Automix for a bunch of tracks is not what I’m interested in. What I am interesting in doing, is remixing tracks with better intros and throwing in mixes from other songs to make the song even better, during my sets. For example, I love the song “Yeah” by Usher, but I have always felt, it needed a great bass beat to it. So I was hoping to mix a beat over the song. Is that possible with this program? If so, can you guide me to a RUclips tutorial that will get me there? Thanks so much for all you do!
Yes Sure! Have a look at this video where I make a mashup of some old disco songs: ruclips.net/video/N3hskbkk4AM/видео.html If you leave me a note in the messenger in the DJ.Studio app (bottom right corner), then I send you this project to play with.
This is a good software for DJ's. My only issue with any software like this. When it comes to any kind of demos, they always lean more towards EDM, House music demos. And never towards any kind of R&B or Hip-Hop demos.
I spinn Hip Hop & Rap & it works just fine. If you know the fundamentals prior and can spin on cdjs or control you'll be just fine. Any Drake, Travis Scott, etc. It's all good, been supporting this since it first got released. Has a little easier work flow than Studio, but that's also a bit different than this slightly of course I know you can do similar things but give this a go and you'll see the benefits. Give it some time, there updates have been ongoing faster than Serato and this guy's ACTUALLY listens to suggestions.
I am sorry, DJ.Studio is not a Production DAW to produce music, it's a DAW to make DJ mixes and mashups. So you will need to look for another tool to produce your music.
You need to try it for yourself. We see lots of Bollywood mixes made with it. We don't shorten the tracks automatically. You need to do it by your self. cutting is pretty easy. Select a block with shift-mouse down and press Del.
I edited the tracks inside the DJ studio (like added inroes, created loops and cut out sections) however, when i exported it to recorbox to play the changes were not applyed to songs, the cue points were created but no changes were added to the music. Also, it replaced the old cue points with these new ones. Is it possible that it would only do it to a specific playlist but not to the songs in my library?
Hi, For the edits we need to export the mix without transitions. We hope to release that function next week. When you export local music, we make a copy of that music to make sure we keep your existing hot cues and memory cueues. Are you talking about streaming Beatport and Beatsource music? For those tracks, we can not make a copy in rekordbox since they are referenced to an online streaming provider. So, unfortunately, we have to overwrite your hot cues for those streaming tracks.
Not yet. We want to refrain from writing in the rekordbox database directly. So we look into exporting an XML file with the cue points. We get a lot of requests to set hot cues at the start of the transition.
@@djstudioapp that's wise and makes a lot of sense! Thanks for the quick and helpful answer! By the way, if you have any LATAM or international positions open, I'd be glad to be part of the project. I'm a DJ, and also a growth marketing & AI specialist from Brazil 😁😁
Can you zoom in until you see the white waveforms? The yellow bars are the beat markers. You can grab one of those and place them in the correct position. That's how you fix the beatgrid.
@MidtownJack. Awesome tutorial! You got my attention. I know nothing about music but playing with this software I can do more than just mixing. 🙏
Cool, thanks!
Love it. Bought it and i was nowhere to be seen the last 5 days, created endless mixes. great software
hahaha that's nice to hear ;-)

omg @midtownjack was pretty calm in this video ;-)
Nah, too fast. The choppy video editing is distracting too. @@djstudioapp
@MidtownJack damn hot video and very good explaning. what´s the name of the tracks you were using? thanks. you got my subscribe for lifetime :)
We will ask Midtown jack ;-)

i wish there were a way for "not manual edit users" to create a fade in intro or a fade out outro of the mix

there is really no difference just change the tempo of your project to what you need .
True I notice the same thing. I wanna see hiphop examples!

@@bboymac84 it'll be no different 4, 8, 16, etc bar mix over and add the fade out and done.
Can it be used to create songs from scratch or with loops we already have like other DAWs?

Hey, great peogramm, 2 questions: will it work with Bollywood music? 2. How can I shorten every song to let's say a minute in an automixed playlist?

Oh I see. Thank you! Cants wait for that update and love the software, its so powerful.

How are you making volume automations? I have tried everything but nothing works! Looks so simple here!
You need to set the volume to manual. Or press the V.
Is there a way for manual automations to have nice sweeping curves without having to do lots of points and dragging?
Yes, our curved automations are almost ready..
this is why is do experimental music
Will this work with hiphop music?
you can change the BPM as you please you can even change it as you make your mix say from 128 dance music to 90 bpm in hip hop . just try it
@@JIZQU can you do a hiphop and RnB example? I keep seeing EDM examples
@@bboymac84 hmmmm…maybe cause nobody wanna hear that shit anymore😂
@@M31812 depends on the type of hiphop
In the trial I cant see the cue point in the interface, is because the trial version doesn’t have all the features? or is this video to old?
The trial is equal to the pro version. But you need to have the Mixed In Key or Rekordbox CUE points activated in the software.
Can I add/edit Rekordbox Cues Points inside DJ Studio?
Not yet. We want to refrain from writing in the rekordbox database directly. So we look into exporting an XML file with the cue points. We get a lot of requests to set hot cues at the start of the transition.

My mixes are off beat and it’s all Afro tech. Beats are similar in bpm what’s going on?

@@djstudioapp I will try it
Is it possible to add effect to a track instead of a transition?
Yes sure. We have lots of effects on the Effects tab in the Studio.
What version of mixed in key I need?
Mixed In Key is optional. You need version 10.
Can you do the same using Serato?
I am not a Serato expert.
@djstudioapp Sorry, I didn't mean my question to read like that. My apologies😅. I was trying to say, " Can we do the same process using Serato?"
I just want to add phrase markers manually, like in MixMeister 😞
all i wanted to do was making a dj song in editor using bpm but i cant figure out how to play two decks at the same time
The two decks play together in the blue transition window. Make it bigger to have them both play at the same time for a longer period.
