사다와 싸다는 문맥상 우리가 구별할 수 있으니까 너무 스트레스 받지마요. ㅎㅎ
근데 샀다와 쌌다를 구별할수 있는 문장이 많지만 구분할 수 없는문장이면 웃기긴할듯... 예를들어 화장실 얘기 하는데 갑자기 자기가 쇼핑센터에서 산거 자랑한다고 마 맞다, 나 이거 쌌다(?) 라고 하면 순간읭? 하면서 진짜 빵 터질 듯 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
I think the main problem with learning to say ㅆ vs ㅅ for English speaker is that ㅆ is phonetically written in English as "ss" and ㅅ as "s", but "s" often just sounds like the double constant in English. (e.g. 'Sign' is pronounced like a double consonant.)
In fact, when "s" at the beginning of the word is followed by a vowel, it will sound more like a ㅆ than a ㅅ (e.g. sequel, some). On the other hand, if it is followed by a consonant (e.g. smooth, scam), it will sound more like a ㅅ.
In Korean, however, all the ㅅ will be accompanied by a vowel (e.g. 삼성. 사다.), and phonetically they are written "Samsung", "sada", which will inevitably be read as 쌈썽, 싸다.
So... I think it may be helpful if you start thinking of the single consonant 'ㅅ' as the odd, airy 's'. I am not sure if this will help, but try thinking that there is a gigantic 'h' hiding behind the 's' sound ? (e.g. sahmsuhng, sahda vs samsung, sada).

You guys are just so freaking funny everytime I watch a video I find myself binge watching old ones 😂 especially Ollie never fails to make me crack up. I basically just laugh the whole way through while watching the video. I just really love his kind of "dry" sense of humor (if that even makes sense in english lol)
On a side note: I am german so I am not supposed to have humor, so congratulations, you effortlessly manage to turn a german into a giggling mess! 😂 (No really, I think most germans are just honest, if they dont think something is funny, they wont laugh about it)
