Interesting fact, the only time Blue pauldrons show up in lore are the Star Wars rebels mobile app game where they indicated snipers. In lore, Black was for enlisted, White was for Sergeants, Orange for unit leaders/Captains, grenadiers and incinerators wore Red, and mortars wore yellow. Nothing wrong with going with a color that you enjoy, just thought I’d share some interesting nerdy lore stuff though.
@@CREATEminis I think it’s dope to go with custom color schemes though, I’m a firm believer that you should paint your army the way you like and not have to worry about being abiding to the lore. Just thought it was a neat tidbit. Another cool thing is that the Stormtroopers with Grand Admiral Thrawn aboard his flagship the Chimaera had the Imperial Crest on their Pauldrons. I think it would be cool to get some transfer sheets and make an army or some minis at least in that style.
For sure, I love painting to lore but also have several custom options. My Shoretroopers, one are painted canon and the other squad is urban Camo. So I tend to do some of each
Awesome video man! This is how I painted 5 Squads of Stormtroopers, and 4 sets of clones in mere hours. I think I spent almost as much time on the bases as I did painting the models lol.
Appreciate the kinds words and tip! Thankfully the new units are the hard plastic now. I’m still hoping for a hard plastic reprint one day. The newer models are so much nicer lol
Thanks for this, I made a dreadful decision to paint my 40k storm trooper battalion as Imperial Stormtroopers for the memes and boy was I dreading painting a thousand points of tempestus scions white and black XD The other half of the army is grey Knights who are DEFINITELY NOT SITH. Nope, no sith here. Just black armoured with red powered swords... Lead by an inquisitor in black robes and firing lightening from his hands as his white wrinkled face is lit blue by his forceful smitening... I'm the worst and I make bad decisions... But the memes dude... Anyway, thankyou for saving my dumb butt from messing up all the white armour.
Rustoleum 2X Matte White. It’s what I use for everything. Spray a nice light coat at a distance. Let It dry and spray a second if needed. My favorite primer. :)
Paint and primer is a little different than the flat white primer. But i use the flat white primer with contrast All the time. Works great. I’d imagine the paint primer would work as well. Let me know.
Sure thing. Primed white using 2x Rustoleum Flat White. Then apothecary white contrast over It. Highlight with pure white from your favorite brand. Fill in body suit with black and add details as you feel needed. I like to add a touch of blue in stripes on helmet sides and recently have been adding red tips to blaster barrels. :) enjoy!

Dan with the funky music especially near the end. I dig it.
More funk you say? Who am I to deny that. Next video lol

Appreciate It! Yeah it’s a quick and easy to pound out some squads for the table
These are amazing tutorials, extremely well made. Keep up the great work, look forward to seeing more.
Appreciate It. Stay tuned!!
I guess a grey wash would do also the job if one doesnt have the Citadel shade?
Great music. Very nice.
Excellent video. Worth noting that plastic glue doesn't really work on the soft poly miniatures from FFG. Super glue should be used for best hold.

@@CREATEminis I'd sell my 40K armies for plastic Stormtroopers and Rebels. Hell I'd sell them for a Canadian restock on phase 2 clones ; _ ;
@@BlueCometGamer You guys get your re-stocks yet? Out in Alberta we go then a couple weeks back.
@@halmartin7417 We got one drop, then another dry spell. Managed to grab a box, but likely will need more eventually.
@@BlueCometGamer Where at? I can check around here and give you a link if you like.
The algorithm saw sexy stormtroopers and put this at the top of my feed
Great video! I'll have to try painting these sometime.
8:43 you got black paint exactly where I get black paint on my storm troopers!! Glad it isn't just me :D
It happens to everyone! :)
I’m not sure how you are brushing that white, I definitely keep getting that coffee stain look but I made it work.
Solid tutorial!
Fantastic video, keep them coming.
Appreciate It. More content weekly :)
Looks great
Thanks! Appreciate the kind words
Awesome Tutorial wow 👍🏼😮
Thanks!
should have went with a dry brush over the white then edge highlighted
cheers from Oshkosh. :)
Oshkosh? That’s almost close enough to play a game or two once this craziness subsides! I’m just outside milwaukee
Thank you for this mate
Sure thing! Good luck :)
Hi ! did you remove the minis from their original base after painting ? any advices on doing that ? regarding paint job etc
Thanks !
Someone misclicked the like button.
Thanks for the video, as a new hobbiest and player, I will be using this while I paint my first minis.

a list of paints used would be a great help on all of your listings :-)
Noted: looking to update my videos soon and get back to this channel full time :)
@@CREATEminis awesome good for you man keep up the good work
thanks
Isn't it better to paint the concave parts of the model black first and then use contrast citadel paint ?
If you do It that way you leave some cloudy grey residue over the black areas.
@@CREATEminis Ok you have right, thanks
What spray primer did you use? Looks great. I cant fine one that works for me

Great video! What kind of brush are you using?
Thank you. Windsor & Newton Series 7. #1
Love It. :)
Whenever I buy black paint, Vallejo or Army Painter, it's always very runny/watery, not very thick. Is that normal?
Do you thin the contrast paint as well?
What brushes are you using in this video? Great job btw.
For a while I used Windsor Newton 7s and more recently I’ve been using the Artis Opus brushes. Both are very nice but also pricey.
What brand of plastic glue do you use? My flash only stocks the citadel one but the tip keeps falling off for me.
Tamiya Ultra Fine
Great tutorial, thanks. Just one criticism, the music... it's too loud for your low voice level.
Yeah I’ve learned slowly how to better adjust volumes as I make more videos. Thanks for the feedback
