Freshman year in college was Before and After Science and the three previous lps. His music has held up conceptually, creatively and from execution standpoints. Eno made everyone he collaborated with better.
I've literally wanted this for years, and I'm late to the party. I've always thought more people should pay more attention to the first few Eno albums, and this crew kills it. Excellent work.
I agree. It's really cool that this work of Eno's can be re-created live so true to form since these albums were so studio-focused. To my knowledge there aren't any live Eno recordings from this era.
I need to meet these people. This made my day. I was trying to explain to coworkers what my favorite song of all time was, and I came across this and I can't even...
It's July 20/21 just a quarter past eight AM (Earth time!) and this has ALREADY made my entire day!! Maybe the rest of my week. These songs, given a chance to live and breathe by these guys is monster!
It's February 27/23. just quarter past 8am and this has made my day as well! Not sure if I'm on earth anymore...things keep getting stranger by the minute.
I drop by to hear and see this every now and then. Absolutely charging and so joyful. That they are covering a song they love is so eye-wateringly clear.
Absolutely brillinant - you guys nailed it! Phenomenal performance from the entire band and full credit to all of you, please don't ever take this post down as it inspires me whenever I see it. Eno once said that only 100 hundred people bought the first Velvet Underground album, but all those 100 people formed a band. Eno would be very proud of you.
I think Tigermountain is the greatest contemporary music album of all time. It is 50 years old and it still sounds brand new. Excellent cover, by the way.
You got it! Thanks so much for your joyous and unbridled performance.... You just let it rip! P.S. to you two guitarist: great restraint! No stadium solos! P.P.S. all you need is some lunatic to attempt to make music- like objects with an old fashioned Moog synth...
Gosh I loooove this band!!! and the girl on vocals singing and stage attitude! I´m already totally in love with her haha, can´t stop watching this video and watch every moment of her smiles. Is she called Rachel McIntosh (according to the band info on google)? Keep it going Enopliles pleeeeeaaaase!
P.P.S. us old Philly guys are not usually much impressed by dancing.... We generally don't regard New Yorkers as dancers....but you're honorary Philadelphians in my book ....please don't quit!!! A great joy.
I was working on a masters degree in Chinese Studies at UC Berkeley from 76-78 and played this record endlessly. The title was taken from a Maoist revolutionary Chinese opera. Still love it (didn’t finish my degree).
Post Punk/New Wave/Goth/Glam Rock! That is the recipe that you put in a bowl, mix it all up and PRESTO!! This is what you get . . . An excellent version of Brian Eno's version of 'The True Wheel'!!
Maybe you guys sould do some of the "other" Eno songs, like Devo's "No Satisfaction", Talking Heads ""Born Under Punches", or Coldplay "Every Teardrop".
I was an "Enophile" before I knew there was a group of us!!! Enophiles Forever!!
Let's get it understood that you all are fabulous!
We like when the guitarist rolls his eyeballs back while skewering them with cocktail sticks.
Thanks for the kind words!

This is very very good!!
In a perfect world, this song would have been a number 1 hit.
As it was, it didn't even get into the Top 800. Quite.
To relocate bowie and eno is the best of pleasures.
Everybody sing: "We are the 801. We are the central shaft!"
Absolutely loved listening to this version. They put so much life into it.
Thanks Robert!
Holy f*** that’s good.
Simply amazing how they did the looped guitar parts live.
Oh my God. They absolutely killed it!!! I did not come into this with high expectations, but I was proved waaaaay wrong. Brilliant.
One of my all time favorite songs

Literally giving me goose bumps
One bend up, one bends down, Eno would appreciate that.
The girl has got to be the happiest performer I have ever seen.
Yes, I want some of whatever she's on :-) But who needs chemicals when we have Eno. The True Wheel has the best endorphin rush.
This is so good! one does enjoy the music much more when the musicians too! beautiful!
Wow ! Great stuff

eno is GENIUS
If Congress was doing its job, this band would be paid $10M a year to keep doing their good work.
We'd happily settle for $9M! Thanks!!
Sounds like you are covering Of Montreal covering Eno. That's a very good thing, Martha S quipped.
I will totally, TOTALLY take that assessment!! You are very kind!!
This looks like a party!
Yay! 👏
Thanks for the kind words!
Eno=God
Maybe you guys sould do some of the "other" Eno songs, like Devo's "No Satisfaction", Talking Heads ""Born Under Punches", or Coldplay "Every Teardrop".
