The Most REALISTIC Airbus Tiller | Taxi like a REAL pilot | Plug and Play USB | Real Airbus Captain

- One of the most glaring unrealistic errors we face with all of our flight simulators is ground handling. Taxing a commercial jet is NOT done with rudder pedals or twist grips. These metal birds taxi along the pavement with a very unique steering mechanism, the nose wheel tiller. Introducing the CAT3 Designs, Airbus Nose Wheel Tiller. This addon is a simple PLUG and PLAY USB adapted piece of hardware. It is compatible with P3D, MSFS FBW A32NX, and X-plane 11. This model replicates the exact tiller found in Airbus aircraft, however it can be used with a variety of other aircraft in your sim depending if they support nose wheel tiller axis. I can confirm it does indeed work with the Felis 747 and A340-600 as well as many others. Don't let the "simulation" start only when you have left the ground, start it from the gate.

Thanks for your input guys. For those feeling that it’s too expensive - I hear you loud and clear. I will try and see if I can simplify the manufacturing workflow to get the price down.
Right now everything is done in house at my shop, with a lot of hands on labor for each unit. For those who cannot afford it, I’m hoping Thrustmaster or other heavyweight mass production vendors can create something like this in the future.
For now though, you have my personal guarantee that the tiller will feel great and you won’t regret buying one :)
358€? how can this be more expensive than a Yoke!
Not sure why everyone is saying its too expensive and saying their solution. He is a real world airbus captain and is trying to get the most accurate feeling to the REAL PLANE!
precisely ;)
Very cool thing to have, but I’m not spending $358 on it.
LOL. Being a GA pilot, steering with rudder pedals feels MOST natural! Even with an airliner. Keeps my hands free to do everything else!
May be one of the coolest addons I’ve seen in some time! Now just a De Ice truck and we will be set! Great Video as always sir
That would be cool!
YES I was waiting for this video!!
Damn, this is what i call high-quality.
indeed!
Im buying it right now I have the TCA sidestick and throttle gotta get this also!
It looks great! But it's too expensive IMHO.
It must cost a fortune , but I love it
At $408 bucks I cannot swing that. Looks great though.
Damm thats expensive. But if it feels like the real thing then must be worth it.
Have this on order now….need to build a new box for the sim. What are the dimensions of this? I have the FS Projects stick coming, and this tiller on order. My current sim left side box isnt large enough to house the new setup
What, if anything, are you using for all of your overhead panel controls, lighting etc?
And more importantly to me, what are you using for controlling the FCU functions?
waiting for the a340 stream with this
That's my missing part....thanks for sharing.....
hello, could you tell me how to configure it for the fenix
Can i use this for P3D V5 and FlighSimlabs A320SL?
It's very nice but the price is crazy!!!
Do you know of other tillers for msfs?
I believe the price is in Australian Dollars
Will this tiller become available again?
😍😍😍
Okay V1, you gotta go back to Pasto to try that 180 back track taxi again!!
@@Mr.Martini549 it’s coming 😉
Every time I watch V1, my wallet weeps.
Yep... I'm about to order the HOTAS magnetic base and Bravo quadrant + the fsprojects stick 😭
dont blame me lol blame this hobby we are all addicted too
Hello Captain! I've just received my Cat3Design A320 Tiller and i would want to know how to assign the Pedal Disconnect button in MSFS2020 for FENIX ?Thank you so much for answering me.Have a good day.Jean-Christophe
Hello Jean. Have you figured out how to assign a nose wheel steering axis on msfs?
Seems the tiller is unavailable now.
This year a slight pause in stacking silver and gold will be required to stay current in flight sim peripherals.
Yep, $358 would be a big chunk out of my graphics card upgrade fund.
Why is this bound to power management in MSFS and not only flight control systems only ?
Because there is no “tiller” command in msfs yet, it’s a work around by FBW to give you a separate axis command
I wonder how many loads of laundry I need to do before my wife lets me get it?
Maybe a few over 300? 😉
Sold out anyway =(
Everyone moaning about price.. think of this as training equipment that a first officer or captain can utilise at home.
I’m a student pilot who fly’s a PA28 my sim set up is over 6K if you want the the things that replicate as close possible so that the muscle memory is transferable from the sim to the cockpit then be prepared to pay for it.
Just an example the real sim cirrus SR22 trainer cockpit is $12k.. these are for the serious sim pilots building 1:1 replica cockpits. Not someone who thinks a saitek twist joystick will provide the same travel and feedback as a real world tiller
Very well said!
@@V1Sim if folk think this is expensive they should look aviation headsets 🤣 or the £200 price tag for the PPL course study books, should I mention the exam fees at £25 a pop and 9 to take and that’s before you even add up the £14k on flying lessons and landing fees 🤣
“Gotta pay the cost to be a boss”
-Snoop dogg 😂
It's aimed at a very small market
@@jacksaloman9513 more and more pilots are moving into flightsims for training purposes and maintaining that edge and knowledge,
Especially after covid shutdown’s.
That market isn’t as small as you might believe
Me who uses mouse yoke : 😑
Is it true that human only needs one kidney not both?
That is true ;)
I personally just took and old joystick and 3d printed a representation of an Airbus Tiller and stuck it on there, working briliantly for me and didnt even cost me more than $11.32
Not for that price
Too much $$$
