- I will cut a piece of brazillian amethyst in a trillion faceted shape in this video. I use an ultra tec faceting machine fitted with a digital angle readout.
This machine is an older v2 model and not being made since around 2008.
For info on an ultratec machine look here:

I use and reccomend gearloose lapidary products.

Thank you.
thank you for such a great video, you use a darkside lap what oil do you use with it to get such a great shine? it would be a good video to see how you charge the lap, just a thought
Hello and thanks for watching. I believe i have demonstrated the darkside charging procedure in previous videos. But ill briefly describe it. I use no oil , i use the cerium oxide stick that gearloose lapidary sells. I rub the stick once around the lap while the lap is wet. I then use a small spray bottle and give a spray of water every 30 seconds or so while polishing.
@@tennpikr74 thank you for the reply and info, i have been watching your video's but i guess i haven't seen that one so wow i will keep watching. i really appreciate your time to answer me, thank you
Wow! You did an amazing job! Do you give faceting lessons? Or know of anyone in Florida that’s good who does? I’m extremely interested.
Thank you, im sorry im not able to give lessons at the present but im considering it and im looking to get a 2nd machine just for that. There is a gentleman near here who will travel to your home and give lessons. send me an email by going to the top of my page here and click on about and you will find my email info.
@@tennpikr74 I'm sorry but i couldn't find your email in the about section of your RUclips page. I am also interested in the lessons here in central Florida.
