David Wallace was such a good side character. I don't think Buckley gets enough credit for how insanely well he played the role. When he's on screen, it brings the show back down to Earth and makes you feel like Dunder Mifflin is a real business, which I think was very important for the show.
Realistic except for when he went very easy on Michael. I mean he bought Michael's company for him and gave him, Ryan and Pam jobs. Michael was VERY lucky to have Wallace as a boss.
I think he also genuinely likes him even though Michael exasperates him a lot of the time. The time when Jan tried to sue the company Michael realized Jan was being crazy part way through the lawsuit and supported the company in the end, and David thanked him for it later
He was more of a patient asshole. He also said michael was never seriously considered for jan's job. And also when michael was planning his 15 year anniversary party and charles was going to ruin it david wallace wouldnt pick up the phone or return his calls after 15 years of loyalty to the company which then lead michael to quit. He did have his nicer moments like when he bought out michael scott paper company and gave michael pam and ryan their jobs back
@Jesse the Smartass Jan was management though. But anyway this have to be an American thing, the employer shouldn't have anything to do with who dates who.
Squiggy I think the only reason why David Wallace put up with them was that first of all, Dwight had an amazing sales record. Second of all, the Scranton branch overall was doing pretty good in sales so David Wallace probably got the impression that Micheal was the reason why and that he was doing something right. That’s why in season 5 episode 12, “The Duel,” Micheal was called in because his branch was reporting strong sales numbers while all the branches were struggling.
David Wallace's realistic corporate portrayal stems from the fact that the actor Andy Buckley is actually a real life executive in a financial advisory firm who moonlighted as an actor on the side. He deserves every bit of recognition for this fantastic portrayal as a CFO
I don’t know why but the “This is weird” line kills me every time. Maybe because it’s the only time an office character recognises the insanity they’re a part of.

David with his son playing drums and piano reminds me of those bad commercials that while they are singing in the background it says “tired of being stuck at home? Trivago”
The part when Micheal is in David's office and they are eating pasta. David gets up and opens the door for Michael to leave then Michael just Carrys on eating. David then Pat's him on the back and says "yeah, finish up". That bit warms my heart so much
I wish they had the clip when Michael says to David "I think you're a nice guy too". In the episode, "The Deposition"; definitely one of my favorite moments of Wallace and Scott.
We have a very different position on the political compass. We must now fight to the death, fully naked in a melee fight with one iron blade of our choice. Is that a tweed jacket." And he looks at me and he says Michael yes it is a tweed jacket. And I look back at him and I say, "I feel the NEED! The need for tweed."
David Wallace - “It's hard to try to evaluate yourself, Michael, but I appreciate you trying. And thanks for coming in!
Shelby Robertson it wasn’t in the video
@Shelby Robertson Looks like you didn't watch the video
thumbs up if it should have been in the video we need a part 2
That just shows how patient David Wallace was with Michael
I always have a need for tweed!
This video is not best of david Wallace it's all of David Wallace 😂😂
@@alex-cq5ug but that's not best of David Wallace. That's one of the best scene of Office because of others like Michael andy dwight Jan etc 😂😂
They're the same thing
David making the jingle with his kid is so wholesome and the kind of Dad I aspire to be.
I’ve been waiting for this! How on earth did Deangelo get a “best of” video before David??
That’s what I’ve been asking since that vid came out
Sage Peters always the best for the end buddy
Save best for last? Think of it as DeAngelo was an opening act for David Wallace.
David returning was the best thing ever
I liked Deangelo, he was hilarious. Tho tbh a solid filler, David on the other hand was a regular supporter
Endgame: Most awaited film ever
Best of David Wallace: Hold my beer...
Oszcar Rosas when did Avenger endgame say that?
Compilation of Dwight yelling Michael: Hold my beet juice
Michael: what do i do?
David: hold my beer
This wasn't even said
I've never even heard of Endgame, what is it and who called it the most awaited film ever?
I’ve always really liked David Wallace, he seems to be a good boss and genuinely treats Michael nicely. Pretty sure he admits that Michael is just a nice guy in one of the episodes
Now we need a Best of Jan. Good exposure for her candle business
NerdsTheCandy I actually saw a serenity candle at a yankee candle store once
Oh good! I'll be your first customer!
@Khalil Yepez THATS WHAT SHE SAID
mantko yeşildal *throws dundie at plasma tv*
It's a good day when this channel uploads
4:38 i just realized michael was peeking through the table cover😂
omg
“David, guess who I’m sitting here dressed as?”
“I’m not going to guess, either you’ll tell me or I’m hanging up.” Classic David #SuckIt
I always had a crush on him
Lmao had a sex dream about David Wallace the other night myself hahahah
omg me too
This worries me
The poster's bf/gf:Hey, why were you screaming David Wallace when we made love. Also why did i have to wear a suit
same lol
“David guess who I am sitting here dressed as.”
“Im not going to guess. You can tell me or I will hang up.”
😂👌
His last name is christ, he has the power of flight
He can heal leopards.
@@ColinElkin-ce1337 ahh yes those leopards need healing
no one:
absolutely no one:
David Wallace: *LISTeN miChAEL*
"thought i'd catch a show"
"in the middle of a work day?"
"no..."
when you dig yourself into a hole with your lie
David with his son playing drums and piano reminds me of those bad commercials that while they are singing in the background it says “tired of being stuck at home? Trivago”
David Wallace is a good guy.
about damn time my guy Wallace got some much needed appreciation ✊🏻😤
Really enjoyed his character, just wished there was more of him.
The single most patient man in the history of mankind.
If David Wallace had a Dundy it would be for most patient
Edit: Omg that’s a lot of likes xp
3:37 so everyone was in the room for Michael pretending to be David’s daughter?? Wish we could’ve seen that!!
David C Lets be honest, not the most uncomfortable thing they’ve seen him do.
Probably wasn't even the most uncomfortable thing they saw him do that *DAY.*
David: hey sweetie, what is it?
Michael: it’s not sweetie it’s Michael Scott.
which episode is that
Im shocked they even found 10 minutes of David Wallace footage
ROFL it isn't 10 minutes of Wallace. It's 10 minutes of material with Wallace in it
It isn’t all David Wallace. It’s mainly Michaels Scott calls to David Wallace
The part when Micheal is in David's office and they are eating pasta. David gets up and opens the door for Michael to leave then Michael just Carrys on eating. David then Pat's him on the back and says "yeah, finish up". That bit warms my heart so much
Michael: I wish I had prepared something to say...may God guide you in your quest.
David Wallace: ...yes.
The way he hesitates and just gives up when he says that kills me every time lmaooo
I wish they had the clip when Michael says to David "I think you're a nice guy too". In the episode, "The Deposition"; definitely one of my favorite moments of Wallace and Scott.
We have the same position on the political compass.
We have a very different position on the political compass. We must now fight to the death, fully naked in a melee fight with one iron blade of our choice. The battle must be 8 minutes or less or we will both face highly probable execution. I will wish you good luck and no hard feelings before the battle begins as I am a fair fighter.
@@MaxHalatTV Lol of course you do.
@@antourte1 I am 6 up, 6 right
I love it when Michael and David are eating pasta and they shake hands after they finish talking and then Michael sits back down to finish his pasta and David doesn’t know what to do lmao
Okay why did I have a mini crush on this guy during the series? 😂
Because he was a high powered executive, tall and handsome, and a nice guy.
mini? i have a mega crush
he's daddy AF
