Whelen WS-222 Siren

This is a 1980 vintage Whelen WS-222. According to the dates in the install manuals this siren preceded the WS-224/224A/227 sirens by approx. 2 years. Although similar in appearance, the 222 had differences in circuitry compared to the WS-224 series.

Man u made me feel old ! We had those on our fire trucks when I was a rookie..much louder than any new siren on the market today

Ours old fire trucks used the Federal Directors. Then the PA-200 I think. We finally settled on some Carson dual driver sirens which still work great and we love the sound.

By mashing on it randomly? I'd say he used it properly. I can't stand when people just start spastically messing around with the manual and airhorn tones in videos!
