My 2022 tundra has over 15k miles on it .. I don’t have any wind noise issues.. I’ve owned this truck for over 1 year .. I bought it brand new .. my only complaint is the softex it’s very firm on my back …
I just got a 2023 TRD Limited in Smoked Misquite. I put the Predator steps on mine. Love it. No wind noise for me. I had a 2013 SR5 TRD 5.7 with the extended cab. Great truck as well. I like your tonneau cover. Might consider one.
I have a 2023. Tundra platinum Got. It in August i have no issues so far 6.789 miles on it i love it so much power Comfortable to drive i have change the oil 2-time so far go ing to chg it at 10.000 miles .and every 5000 after that. no wind noise no cracking or noise at all runs perfect. The only issue I’ve had is the seat driver seat. The lower extender doesn’t work and I took it to the dealer. They fixed it for one day at work and now it’s broken again. They said they recalibrated it and I’ve been mechanic for 50 years and I know that motor was bad
I've got the exact same model. I don't drive it as much (currently around 6,700 miles). I have no complaints other than the Infotainment System is not reliable; it repeatedly resets arbitrarily. Some days it's fine, other days it just resets and I can't use it.
I have the same exact truck I had paint problems where Servco Toyota Mapunapuna had to repaint th whole driver side. I got this model because I wanted the windshier Pearl white color. And I was told by sales person that is the only way. To get that color is either limited or platinum. And I waited a year in a half for it to arrive.
Yes I know some folks have issues, Id say on my truck there is some outside noise but I dont see it as a issue, not compared to other trucks like the dodge 1500, Ill take a picture of my average in the next video, I promise that the lifetime is 19.5, but I drive pretty easy in general.
The side seat cover on my ‘22 SR5 cracked, was replaced under warranty, cracked again. I’m supposed to have the modified part installed under warranty this week. I’ll post a part number if I can get it.
One issue is many people are practically deaf -iE they tune out everything which is why people can sit and listen to screaming children. Point being the wind noise is not great and there are quality and design flaws which would require complete retooling. So many crappy mechanics today also can’t hear stuff. They are just manual jockeys -they only can do what Mitchell software tells them to do.
Watching from NH, Go pats I'm considering getting a Tundra in the next month or two. Seems like the features in it really do beat out a lot of the competition unless I want to spend 75-80k. How do you like the adaptive cruise? My wife's traverse has that and I love that feature. Seems pretty hard to get in a silverado unless like I said I spend over 70k. I'm also looking for a 6.5 ft bed as well with crewmax. There's one down the street at the dealer but its in the mesquite brown which I don't think I could live with forever. I do think its sharp, but I'm not really looking for a brown truck for mysefl.
How do you like the plastic chrome on the rear bumper? Do you miss the bumper step to enter the bed with the tailgate down? Do you miss the third cup holder in the console? Do you miss the sound of the V8?
The rear bumper on line is brushed color and it’s good. Never had a bumper step but wish I did have one, my 08 didn’t have a third cup holder so I don’t miss it lol, don’t really miss the v8 as the new motor is quicker and more torque
how do you like the towing? do you have a tailer for your dirtbikes? How do you like putting them in the back? We race ATV's have a 16' trailer but I want to be able to throw one in the back and close the tailgate so I'm looking for a 6.5 bed
I have the same truck, love it but what's the tsb and what is a bump stop issue that you corrected? Also, which cell phone mount do you use? Mine tends to bottom out in the rear when going over a speed bump, granted i do keep mine in comfort mode. Do you have the same issue?
There is a TSB for teh bump stops not being adjusted properly, easy to do yourself also, lots of videos on YT for this. Cell phone mount is just an Amazon generic mag safe stick on mount.
You mentioned you like your phone up higher so you can see messages. Do your messages not show up on the infotainment screen when the phone is connected via CarPlay?
19-20 mpg.? My 2023 1794 with trd 4x is only getting 13-14. Now that I have a lift kit and 34’s recon’s I’m getting 12-13 avg mpg. Now I only have 1200 miles
@@obgod3 I tested my truck yesterday. Filled it up while on the freeway I was getting 17 mpg are 75 mpg, as soon as I drove faster 80 or 2000 rpm’s my mpg dropped a lot. Then when I added city the mpg dropped back to 13
I have a 22 Platinum hybrid, I don't have wind noise and I average 21-22mpg in normal mode, with 15k miles on the truck. I normally drive a 115 mile run round trip between the country and city. Half the trip is 70mph and the other half 84mph. I normally get 21-22mpg on tank. I live 6k above sea level. On the way to the city it drops to about 5500 above sea level to take a mountain pass that is just over 6k, down the pass it drops down into the city that sits about 4700 above sea level. I fill up in the city because gas is cheaper there. However, with all the climbs and drops, happy with the mileage. I don't punch it all the time, but the truck does top out at about 106-108mph. Even being playful at times with the truck, gas mileage is consistent. During winter mileage drops a bit, but that is to be expected.
@@obgod3 I guess if you don't carry equipment on the floor of your backseat and you don't have three passengers in the backseat then it doesn't really matter. The truck looks good in white.....

I’m buying a 23 limited , thanks for that insight, really helps sift out some of the things I’ve heard
Glad to help
Nice truck. Still driving my 07 Tundra since new.
Keep driving it, I would have but I am really enjoying this truck

Upgraded my 20 Trd Pro for my 23 1794 TrdOffroad & absolutely love it! It’s got a level kit with 35s 😁!
Nice!!
No problem with the 35s..?..love to see a picture of it.

nice truck, and nice neighborhood!
If you can, spray some spray foam/gap filler in your side steps. Should deaden that hollow aluminum sound.
Beautiful truck!
make more. videos about the truck. I will be picking up my 24 Tundra limited the weekend,
Posting one tonight
Love the white color.
Had mine for 8 months and just learned that there is storage under the rear seat. 🤣 Had to go check...yep, it's there.
Glad the video helped out!
Thanks for the review well done
Any time!
My 2023 replaced my 06 Silverado that was totaled. It had 270k miles on it and going strong until it was wrecked
Kind of the same situation for me, 08 tundra 385K ran great and a couple deer totaled it on me
Just got one. No wind noise in mine. Sounds like you got a 🍋
The only wind noise I discovered was when the seat fans are on

Nice truck and very good fuel economy results - I have seen your right foot in action 😆
Funny Craig ...LOL
Wind noise? Are you flying?
Had a 22! Wind noise, water condensation on inside of windows, hybrid issues and extremely poor mpg. Traded it in on a pro 4X , zero issues.
Sorry that didnt work out, so far mine is doing well

Thanks for the review. I would have like to have seen how the bed roll up cover worked. Great thoughts on the door steps.
Watch my channel I’ll have a separate video on the cover in the next few days.
23 sr crewmax got in march. Wind noise driver side is super irritating. Might have to put new door seal or window seal idk yet. 13.8 mpg tho so far😅
is 13.8 in city only. do you tow? Also how many miles you have on the engine. Thanks.

How did you get rid of the decals?
My driver seat side is fully cracked and the part is on back order 😢
Yeh I expect at some point to be in the same situation, it might be on back order due to a new release part coming.

Yeh there was a TSB for the bump stops, I dont know the number any,ore but it is searchable, if your truck rides rough that’s probably it.
Good review. Thanks. My wireless charger is temperament too. What mounted wireless charger are you using? I like how you have it kind of tucked away.
I am actually using a wired connection to charge the iphone but the lightening adapter in the phone is crapping out. iPhone 15 usb c on the way :)
