V Rising Boss Guide: Simon Belmont the Vampire Hunter

- Who could've guessed that Simon Belmont from the Castlevania series would make an appearance in V Rising!? He's no pushover either with almost a dozen unique abilities. This encounter is going to keep you on your toes!
My video might not do it justice, but here's a rundown of all his abilities:
• Whips directly in front
• Whips in front, behind, and in front again
• Whips in front, which pulls you in for a follow up kick attack
• Spins his whip, blocking frontal attacks
• Throws a bottle that explodes and leaves fire on the ground. 3 more explosions follow around it
• Throws his axe straight at you. If the axe is not countered and doesn't hit a wall, it will boomerang around and can hit you multiple times
• Throws his axe into the air and lands where you're heading
• If you're far away, simon will leap at you, getting back in range
• He'll spin his whip around and cause a mighty tornado attack to all those in range
• He'll charge at you. You'll need to dodge or counter this. If you're hit, he'll usually follow up with the 3rd whip attack above
• At 50% He does a fiery whip tornado, burning the ground around him
• He gains a 3-whip attack that sets fire in front of him where his whip lands
• He now throws 3 axes (straight, left, then right)
• At 25%, he casts "Mending Cross" which shoots 4 beams of light. He heals during this ability, but if you break his shields before the ability ends, he'll be stunned
• After Mending Cross, rain of holy bolts will rain from the sky
Compliments to the game designer that worked on this character. That's a lot of abilities!

love that they added a remix version of the Super Castlevania Boss music in there
This is probably one of the funnest fights in the game. The cheesy dialog and fun factor is great. The music makes this fight even more enjoyable.
Just wanted to say that he also patrols Silverlight Hills, as well as occassionally rests in the Colosseum similar to how the behemoth rests in his lair, so if you really want no patrols on your back, no vegitation and an epic stage for your battle, engage him their
I wandered into him at level 20~. It didn't end well lmao.
I struggled with 5his guy for an hour always getting him to like 15%/20% hp remaining but then I figured out my mouse was running out of battery and after changing those it was first try... I was like why my attacks lagging and going where Im not aiming... But was a fun fight even though I don't use healing spells or counters, I just spam aftershock and corrupted skulls to get him busy and not always focusing me... And as a castlevania fan this one was a nice fight.
I hate that this is a super common experience, a lagging mouse/controller making games much harder than they should be lmao

Hearing you call the obvious cross on his back an axe really annoyed me lol. Other than that, good vid. I just started playing this game again (played a bit in EA) and was so surprised to see him in the game.

Looking forward to General Valencia guide. Man she is rough.
I never beat her in solo lol i'd need the help of a friend to beat her, otherwise it's literally impossible.... She's too much spamming her kick and dashes on you too fast to counter or dodge. You just can't kill her on solo when you have 70-80 level gear. It's for me with Adam and Dracula, the most powerfull bosses in the game. I'd place her nearly as the same position as Dracula. Dracula a bit harder but they are nearly equal in difficulty..... Valencia is literally a nightmare !
Dude… great video but, you’ve never played a castlevania game in your life. That’s a Boomerang, he also has an Axe and knives. Along with his little bombs.

It's a cross, not a boomerang. Daggers, not knives and holy water, not bombs.
Shame the rewards for killing him are shite.
The Sanguine Whip is one of the best spellcaster weapons imo. I went way out of my way to kill him just to get that. It's so good, there is no other reward, and it's the only way to get it.
