      my stock bov is definitely connected, as all the vacuum hoses are connected. However when i block of my bov, it still doses similarly, so im assuming my stock bov is no good?

    You had to purchase a whole new wiring harness to get the motor to work? I'm in the process of doing the exact same swap but my motor came with the complete harness along with the ECU and ignitor. I plan on going to big single and pushing a lot of power and have to go standalone ECU and was planning on haltech but ive hit a snag with the wiring. Would my wiring harness that came with the motor work in my car? Thank you!

    • @donny611
      @donny611  6 лет назад +1

      if you are dropping the motor into your supra, youll need a supra GTE loom, will need to be a supra GTE ecu too. Ignitors are both the same on the aristo and supra, its just the mounting bracket on the aristo is a tad different so itll mount a bit weird.

    • @jmann490
      @jmann490 6 лет назад +1

      Ahhh okay, because my motor came with the aristo loom and GTE ECU for the aristo motor. I planned on going to haltech standalone and supposedly that works with the aristo loom as well, the elite 2000 ECU. Thanks for the advice man!

    Hey mate i'm in Victoria as well and i'm doing the same swap. What process did you take to register the new engine, Did you have to take it to Vicroads and get it inspected?

    • @donny611
      @donny611  6 лет назад +1

      i think i saw ur wtb GTE Ad on the aus buy sell haha
      nah i have yet to update my engine number, but its as simple as filling out a form with the new engine number and bringing ur car to vic roads for them to confirm the number youve written down is correct.

    What did you do with the wiring? I have an OEM tt vvti harness and ECU and plan on doing this swap. Did you use the TT Fuel Pump ECU?

    • @donny611
      @donny611  4 года назад

      We've bypassed the stock fuel pump ecu and wired so that my haltech elite controls it all now.
      Wiring is just a Supra OEM 2jzgte non vvti loom.
      Oem tt vvti harness requires u to run a stock vvti ecu or a plug n play patch harness to an aftermarket ecu.
      Make sure your loom is from a supra if thats what ur planning to run it in.

    • @904jaymaal
      @904jaymaal 4 года назад

      @@donny611 yea boss. I have a supra 2jzgte vvti loom. I also have a Supra 2jzgte vvti ecu. What I'm trying to figure out is with them being both stock, will it require custom wiring. I believe a couple of fuse box wires need to be repinned. This all is a headache. Lol I appreciate the reply.

    Did you consider doing a 2jz GTE VVTI over the normal GTE? I am looking what the diffrences are when swapping. And you keept the stock turbo's wright?

    • @donny611
      @donny611  6 лет назад +3

      To be honest with you, i have always heard rumours about non vvti GTE being cheaper to run due to parts but those days are long gone now. Only reason why i went with non vvti is because a good deal popped up at the time. Yes that is correct, i'm still rocking the stock turbos atm.

    • @guusish
      @guusish 6 лет назад +1

      Thanks for you quick reply. A that sounds like you made the wright choice. I am looking to swap for the vvti becouse of beter milage. I want to build one more as a Grand tourer and goal like 400 hp think also with the stock twins. How much power do you make? And are you satisfied with the stock turbos?

  • @goonaticx6736

    Mistake me if I’m wrong, if both engines were 2jz, why did you need to convert the same engine into the car?

      donny611 did you use an aristo Y pipe from the turbos?

    • @donny611
      @donny611  6 лет назад +1

      the y pipe oil drain for the turbos was from a supra 2jzgte.
      the y pipe for the turbo exhaust is the same for the aristo and supra.

    • @jonny_s14
      @jonny_s14 6 лет назад

      donny611 so did you just buy an off shelf supra decat/downpipe and it bolted straight onto your aristo Y Pipe 3 bolt flange exit?

      GTE Engine was in up and running in about a week.
      Including all the servicing bits and pieces, it ended up costing around 10k.

    • @gt86drift

      thats still cheaper than buying a turbo supra in victoria isnt it?

    • @donny611
      @donny611  6 лет назад +7

      it actually works out similar to what you would pay for a factoy RZ-S. Series 2 RZ is 40k+ though. So end of the day, i have a series 2 supra 6 speed with twin turbo for around 30k minus the RZ plate.
