8:21 You can see the wheel come off from the jaguar car and the wheel then cartwheeled into the crowd injured some of the people who were watching from the sidelines
In case anyone's wondering why not all the drivers go nuts, it's because the private road runs through an old English country garden. You can be as wild as you like, as long as you KEEP OFF THE GRASS. Spins, drifts, burn-outs and doughnuts are all fine, but if your wheels touch the grass Lord March gets annoyed and locks you up in Goodwood's medieval dungeon for 30 days to think about the terrible thing you've done. Rule One: keep off the grass. Rule Two: observe Rule One. It takes nerves of steel and a lot of skill to put on a show without losing your liberty.🤭
3:23 . ok someone tell me what ERA was this car in... cause i am laughing tooooo freaking hard at that aero. id take a guess mid 60's? that has to be the funniest thing i've seen all day... also OMG that 787b sounded so good. its going into retirement shortly as per a mazda video from a little over a week ago... and my gosh the anti lag on the rally cars is nutty. 6:01 not a bmw guy, but this looks MEAN and i really dig it. and that tire falling off the jag i was watching live and was like "NOOOOO" glad no one was really hurt, and like always that hoonigan subi is just a master piece to look at.
Wings came late 60s in Formula 1. The engineers still had very limited experience, so they tried different designs. The first wings seen in motorsport was all placed high in the air. This design were seen in racing like Formula 1, Can Am and Nascar (Superbird/Daytona)
My favorites were the old Bennettons F1, the Rothmans Williams F1 and the orange-white F1 McLaren. Also, I never get tired of seeing that insane Aero-Subaru. And and: How crazy are those Rallye-Toyotas in the beginning? that driver threw the black car so hard in to that corner. INSANE 🔥
I love that some of the classic cars get to be driven/enjoyed as intended, while still being cared for. I often find it sad to see cars just rotting away in some private collection in the dark, or heaven forbid, a barn
Great vid. I always wonder tho how I genuine amateur for automotive sports can appreciate drifting, as it sums up to the art ot turning horsepower into anything - smoke, noise, rubber on asphalt - but efficiency and fast moving.
@@SCOOTSUPERCARS Every time we watch a documentary and they mention something then say *but sadly no footage exists* its dudes like you caring about feelings ! 😂 , least you caught it snapping off , ive seen enough wheels vs people to Imagine what happened..👍🏻
the 787B the best f1 sounding car that isn't a f1 car (when its on racing speed)
I've never seen a Jag get recovered onto a truck so quick!
Bolt the wheel back on and do another lap, Had mine 12 years and only lost a radiator so far lol
Awesom 👍👍👍
🔥
Lucky about that loose wheel - no injuries. Awesome footage otherwise
2 injured but not seriously...I believe they came back to watch after the hospital visit !
@@westboundbadger That's what they say but hard to enTIREly believe. Heavy steel wheel at speed suddenly stopped by people...couldn't have felt good.
@@UberLummox Hard to say,..looked bad but maybe there was something like a post etc to take the impact,..
@@westboundbadger Exactly what I was thinking. Almost would have to be. Otherwise lights out and nitie-nite!

Wait until everything is electric and sounds like a blender! The sandal and man bun wearing crowd will be pleased.
Glutin free too !
You know this is festival of speed, right? They have and always will have cars from every era.
Also man buns haven’t been a thing for years.
@@williammeszaros3382Nothing has glutin in it.

They would probably sound Like a jet engine to be honest
I bet the Jag is at next years meeting again, Just a cosmetic failure lol
"CRASH".... A wheel fell off...
Quite noisy these electric cars ???
those gr yaris's look sketchy as hell
Great video, so good to hear the engine sounds without the constant commentary for a change.👍
No kidding... commentators be quiet every so often!!!
The Jaguar wheel @ 8:15
Back in the day a wire wheel coming off was often down to the wheel nut not having enough copper mallet. That Jaguar wheel coming off was different.
wow theres less drift cars now
Goodwood clashes with the likes of formula drift so those guys don’t come
Nobody cares about drifting that's why
@@jamessgarage160 yeah but goodthing piotr and madmike is there
@@trooooyyyyy
Even Piotr would admit that drift is not really what Goodwood is about!
Good

2 drifts
0 crashes (+ one lost wheel)
disappointing video and misleading title
The sound of that #17 Mustang is so distinctive and memorable. 🎉

mclaren m7c at 3:23, it looks a lot like a Lotus 49 with experimental wings!
its called a McLaren M7C-1. its raced in 1969 and its apparently a 1 of 1.
Apparently trying to harvest downforce from the non-turbulent air that exists at high altitudes
@@PierreChen91 the reports i've read it was just badly bruised which if the reports are correct thats still a good day

what crash ? very boring
Hope no spectators were seriously injured from the Jag wheel.
I believe two spectators were taken, via ambulance to the hospital , reported minor injuries.

Jaguar D-Type, the new crowd killer. The tyre actually hit someone in the crowd.
