Beyond the beauty of the Philippines the most attractive thing i find in all the videos I've watched is the apparent love that seems to be inherent within the hearts and smiles of Filipinos. I have decided to retire there and share what i can.
So funny...I hope you go back to your history. Your people colonized us for 300+ years. This island still speak Spanish. My grandmother was a Spanish descent married to my local grandfather. She died in her mid 90's in the 80's so yes she still lived late 1800's under Spanish and American rules.
Ardent appreciation! Your video reminds us former PACD (Presidential Assistant on Community Development)pre-service trainees in UP Los Baños Laguna , Philippines in 1960 of our respective Barrio(Barangay) Exposures in the villages of the Philippines. Thank you ever so much!
Kudos friend Albert! Your video on village life in the Philippines is quite impressive. In my 23 years of government service with the DILG there, the signs of rusticity are still prevalent. Many improvements though in the infrastructures are quite obvious. Here’s hoping the American legacy of altruism will come out in the open very soon. As Jim Floor said, “Attitude determines altitude!”
If you have money to buy food, its ok. Especially if you came from abrroad for vaction. They will look at you as their personal bank vault. Your dollars will last a long time.
Its not all depressing.. the simplicity of living.. its a matter of being contented and live life as it is.. tho i respect if some people would see living in a 3rd world country depressing.. we got different interpretation of depressing.
I miss living in this kind of environment.. wish I can have a vacation in the philippines after the pandemic.
