Super Slick! If someone needs 60fps for an elusive 8K panel, Balanced DLSS should cover it in this game with a 4090. Still above 4K, to 8K.
Interesting to hear about DSR and FG. I have the Alienware AW3423DW and have just been through Nixxes last game Horizon FW (Which I know you did videos on too) in there FG and DSR worked great. Looking to pick this up in a week or so and will try it out. Hopefully something changes and things end up same performance wise as HFW, as that ran pretty well for me. Maybe its due to the super high DSR you are using. I picked the highest DL DSR resolution (Which is more efficient than standard DSR) rather than any other so maybe try on that your side.
Frame generation with DSR does work fine, the issue is actually the resolution being run. The less GPU resources available the worse frame gens gains are. This same thing happens to nvidia's lower end cards at 4k.

Whats About FSR3 Frame Gen? Seems to be combined with dlss in this game.
you can use fg with dsr you just have to go to control panel and be on that resolution before starting the game
Did you have to fiddle around with stuff to get DSR to work on your Samsung TV or DSR was available from the start? I lost DSR and all other scaling options after "upgrading" from LG C8 to Samsung S90C.
Dsr is part of your nvidia driver. You can enable it in the nvidia control panel.
@@Bang4BuckPCGamer I know, but the problem lies in the TV using Display Stream Compression tech, which is often not compatible with Nvidia's scaling features. I thought the S95B uses DSC aswell, but I might be mistaken.
Incredible to have an 8k TV and put the PC with the 4090, you remove a couple of filters and make the 60 fps stable as a rock
I got S90C , games look very good ,small details , cant say i could see them on lcd before, sony x95k. Plus runs smooth , 144hz on rtx 4070 super.
Wasn’t aware DSR didn’t play nice with frame gen, guess that explains a lot actually.
Can you show it with FSR frame gen though and not nvidias...

Did you try FSR frame gen with DLSS? It actually works very good, I was surprised. Works better than Nvidia frame gen in this game so far, at least with DSR enabled

I think that’s just a number other youtubers have thrown out there. In my experience as long as you’re getting 40+ FPS, it’s going to be an acceptable experience. It probably also depends open the game.

@Venom_Byte that sucks man. The game is very beautiful as is but definitely a missed opportunity for us pc gamers now.
I would recommend DLDSR 2.25(x) over the legacy scaling factors.
And with that level of pixel density, 40-50% scaling in DLSS Tweaks with Preset E still looks exceptional.

@@DaboooogA better performance wise, should have stated. But if people using 4k screens epically lg c2 and alike, be sure to delete the normal 4k resolution that is just bogus to get correct dldsr. There are guides how to do so
@@MrDragonorpI have a C2 and that was not necessary. You just have to set your desktop resolution to the resolution you want to run in game using a DSR option.

I don't just game on this PC. The 7800X3D is a very good gaming CPU, but very average when it comes to productivity. It shouldn't bother you, it's my PC after all.
