Discontinued Detroit to Bloomington, Illinois route with Delta - 4K

In this video, I will be flying on a route that has since been discontinued since flying it... Detroit Metro to Bloomington/Normal, Illinois on a Delta Air Lines (SkyWest) CRJ-900. The route was super weird even when it operated, it only flew twice a week (Fri/Sun) and operated in the evening so connections were limited, plus the flights were pretty empty when I flew them.

The last day this route operated was Sept. 1, 2023. I have included facts about the route, ATC communications, as well as a go around... ENJOY!!!

Super cool coverage of a flight to one of my local airports!! Did this route a few times in the past on the -200. It’s also been a confusing matter of the various times it’s suspended and resumed.

Yeah, there has gotta be a reason for it that none of us know about. Weird the news hasn’t even mentioned it stopping this time, and there is no schedule of it being posted anything in the next 6-7 months, so who knows if/when it will restart 🤷‍♂️

What was the reason for the go around?

The ATC communication in the video has the pilot saying “we’re still unstable, we’ll have to go around”.
