The scene at the brothel with Dean and Castiel had me rolling with laughter. I like the concept of both brothers being vessels to Micheal and Lucifer (Angel vs Fallen Angel).
I always found it interesting that Lucy told Nick that he couldn't resurrect his family, but just throws out here that he'll keep resurrecting Sam until he says Yes. Also, I'm glad you picked up on the "It always had to be you" line. Sam has been told that by so many foes throughout the series and you can see on his face that hearing it from Lucy broke his spirit.
You're one of my favorite reaction channels for supernatural! Really love your analysis of the episodes, can't wait to hear your thoughts about the rest of the season.
Demore Barnes is great as Raphael! I love how literal Cass is! Poor Cass looked petrified when Dean him to the brothel. Angels are spirituals beings so they can't have sex. They need a human vessel to do so. Dean always pushes down his feelings so he doesn't have to deal with them. Do another job or do something with Cass, anything to keep his mind occupied. Cass should stock the boys up on lots of holy oil so they can always have some in the trunk. I really enjoy the way you dissect the episodes. You're very smart & intuitive. I can't wait for your next reaction.
Given that you now know that both Dean and Sam are "true vessels", and how you very rightly point out how the angels can just torture them into saying yes, I just want to mention how I really appreciate an episode from last season, The Rapture, for the setup it did for this. I like that episode on it's own, but I really love it for how much it sets up for this season. When Jimmy first says yes, he's convinced that he is doing the right thing, and agrees willingly. This is, more or less, the angelic consent as it should work. Later, we see that Claire has let Cas in. Presumably, this was because Cas could save her and her family from immediate danger. And then Jimmy gives up his body to save Claire the fate of being a vessel. Consent when your own life, or the life of someone you love, is on the line, isn't really that meaningfully different from just taking control; what choice do people have, really? At this point, having also seen how Zachariah is willing to torture, and how Raphael is willing to do the same only better, it is like you said; the angels aren't really better than the demons, where this is concerned. They are technically supposed to be better, but the reality is different. The lines between angel, demon and human in some ways are very arbitrary.
Pretty cool that you saw the parallel between the conversation with Jess and Lucifer’s conversation with Nick lol. I like the episode but I’ll say it’s almost like a cop out saying “it jut had to be you” without any other explanation lol
While I'm not a fan of the brothel scene (why would an angel even be awkward about not having had sex, they aren't supposed to?), I do really enjoy the moment when they escape out the back. Cas hasn't seemed like he was having a great time at all, but like you noted, he does smile then, when Dean is laughing. And later, like you noter as well, Cas uses language that he seems to have picked up from Dean. It's actually a bit sad that Dean thinks Cas' "last night on Earth" should be having payed-for sex with a stranger, when it seems Cas would actually rather just hang out with Dean.
I assumed all angels were celibate?? Which is why I thought it was strange that Dean was shocked, I guess when you grow up on TV in the 80s, these are the things that men are taught to habituate😞
@@TheCornerverse I think angels are certainly supposed to be celibate. Cas tells us they haven't walked the Earth for 2000 years. Anna was seen as an abomination for wanting to experience human pleasures and freedoms, for falling. Both she and Cas talk about not being supposed to really feel things, or have opinions; they are only supposed to serve and obey with faith. I don't mind Dean ignoring all that, looking at Cas as more "a dude" at times .. but Cas' self-conscious, shy reaction baffles me. It's funny in isolation, but I think it fits poorly within the established canon. I feel Cas ought to have gone "Of course not Dean", then Dean could have talked him into trying, as part of the rebellion against Heaven perhaps, as part of understanding humanity better or something. Then the rest could have played out much the same. Personally, I just ignore that particular scene, and enjoy the scenes I love in this episode, like their interaction with Raphael.
So I'm watching your Extraordinary attorney Woo reactions. I've watched 6 different channels react to it, and yours are one of the best. Park eun bin is amazing and I would like to watch you react to one of her other shows. 1. Kings affection has a great cast and story. 2. Castaway Diva you'll hear her amazing voice. 3. Great cast and story and see a different side to hear. Keep up the great reactions I'm sure your channel will do great

So nice to see them so lighthearted this episode🥹 it’s a really great metaphor!

Took me way too long to work out who Lucy was there…🤣
Love this episode. Dean and Cas team up is always so fun.
Great to see them having fun😊

Great stuff! I loved the music scene at the beginning so much! Enjoy Cas & Dean's chemistry in this season! Hate seeing Sam so stressed.
The transitions between Sam doing menial work with Dean hunting things was amazing!
love this series. Sam and Lucifer's chemistry is incredible
A very intense scene!

If only I’d thought about it harder and realised it was the same thing! 🤦🏻♀️ it’s so frustrating how nothing is ever explained to them!!
