I was stationed in Germany when that album dropped,Ya Im old?Lol Anyway my buddies and I went to our corporals house to have a Rush listening party,someone spiked the booz punch with acid and holy shit it was on like kong! I saw sounds dancing on the livingroom wall,those suspended chords that Alex is the undisputed master of were like sound bombs,and the keyboards and drums added to the sound scape! I have so many cool memories of Rush that it's a part of my dna! No one could ever make me feel bad for loving those guys and their dedication to their music! It's in my last will and testament that Headlong flight be played at my funeral,that's the level of respect I have for the band! Their songs are literally the sound track of my life,they make you think and feel a whole range of emotions,those jerk critics through the years just didn't get it man,but we Rush fans sure do and will until our dying breaths! Sorry for the lovefest ,I can't help it sometimes!LOL Peace out!
Indeed it was! I got to see them play it in 1980 at the Oakland coliseum two days in a row! My first Rush concert was the year before during the Permanent Waves tour at the San Francisco Cow palace w/ 38 special! That was when my fanboy ways really got going,Natural Science was so good man,the next day I got my 12 string out and learned that song in about 3 hrs! The crazy inverted E chord and the A and D chords with the descending root notes did it for me! Again suspended chords as well! I blow peoples minds when I play that song and you my friend play so good as well! Your the best Rush guitar cover guy on the web as far as Im concerned! I play along with you cuz you know what your doing so I owe you a big thanks for that,it's fun as hell man! Your Zep cover of rain song is the really good as well!
I got my songs confused,two songs really,Entre Nous with the inverted E chord and descending root positions on the low E string,then Natural Science and the suspended chords,both by the way are fun on my 12 string! Alex's use of chorus lends itself to playing on a 12 string! I have an electric guitar as well for when I want to kick things up a few notches!!Lol

I got a backing track off www.guitarbackingtrack.com without any vocals. I mixed that track with the original so that there would be some vocals. I used Audacity software to mix the two tracks.
