I do this theater thing in my town it's called t-3 and we are doing suessical the musical kids I want to be Gertrude mcfuzz but my friend Sophia also wants the role and I don't know what to do should I go for a different role or just stick to Gertrude I want to stay to Gertrude but I also don't want to hurt Sophia
Sorry this is so late. You should always go for the part you want or you think suits you. Then leave it in the casting director's hands. He/she will make the best choice for the role as they see it. That's theater.
