Dude love your videos i today found your channel and binged all of those i play Heartstone for like 7 years and biseyd Heartstone mathematition i have been kokony for channel like this made my day today really and this was last video i watched and the ending was soo touching really i dont know if content you make can be super popular because of current state of Heartstone and i think your content directed more to veterans than beaginners of the game Thats just my prediction anyway i just sibscrided today and will gladly watch more ;) Good luck
i'm really glad that you decided to stick around, and it's been a fun year since i got ur stuff on my youtube recs. your videos always had a peculiar cozy vibe, like you're this guy in a game store showing me his card collection and having a story for each one, even though i never played mtg to actually see anyone's cube. i really appreciate that, man
I disagree with Devoted Maniac being on the list. If you look at the effect with the Invoke, it's really not that bad. For Shaman, it was a Twin Fin Fin Twin in a lower-power meta. For Warrior it was another bit of flexible removal or fast damage. For Warlock, you traded two health on a Grim Necromancer for some board control. The only ones I'll give you are Rogue, who really was only playing it because their Galakrond was so strong, Priest, who wasn't playing it all. Otherwise, I'd say that Devoted Maniac was like Disciple of C'Thun, as a fast card that served as the glue in an otherwise straight-up archetype.
Yeah these are fair points. I think I was thinking about it too much from a priest galakrond perspective. I think I might have come across a little too harsh on devotes maniac.
@@mrchundoIIRC Gala Rogue was more or less forced to run Maniac and that was a fairly powerful Galakrond deck. Not sure if it was eventually cut as the lists got more refined.
Hearthstone is one of those games that feels left behind in terms of contents outside of analysis and gameplay, compared to other TCGs and OCGs, really love these more casual and fun themes, looking forward for the next video!
hi chundo, I wanted to say I thought the self jab at 0:12 was funny. your videos are so well made for a small channel that the only thing stopping you from seeming like an obvious industry plant sent by the Rothschilds is the fact that the mic quality in your early vids is below average by 2011 xbox live standards
(in all seriousness, I dont actually think it is or was a big deal but I do think its dope you've improved in that regard, and furthermore that you're self aware about it)
Great video man! Watched a few of your other videos and insta subbed. This sort of Hearthstone History + old metagame analysis stuff is an untapped niche in the Hearthstone community that I haven't really seen before, and I love it. Keep up the great work, I can see you making waves in the future!
Just stumbled upon this channel and I have to say, it's a breath of fresh air seeing this kind of content for Hearthstone. Hope to see more from you in the future!
Personally would like to shine some light onto Vile Apothecary. A 3 mana 2/4 for Rouge that adds a Coc (Concoction) to your hand at the end of your turn. A miserably bad card in the otherwise nuts Coc package.
For a channel your size, your vids are the cream of the hearthstone crop. You deserve way more notoriety and respect, happy one year Chundo! (Commenting this to be in next years nice comment compilation)
Im really happy youve started posting more often chundo! When i started watching i was scared you would devolve into a channel that only posted every 5 months or so. Keep it up, love the content!
I’ve always said since Dr. Boom’s Scheme was announced that it used to state “summon a boom-bot” instead of gain armor and that it was changed at the last minute because it appeared too strong
Really good video, only thing is that I haven’t seen void flayer being played a single time ever, I think that priests simply don’t want conditional cards
First of all, great video. 👍 Though I do disagree with the Rise To The Occasion segment. As a disclaimer, I have not been around long enough to see these decks on ladder. But I feel you missed out on two important cards in the dude paladin deck. 1. Prince Liam. Yes, it was basically a meme card, but it did make your deck more useful in the late game, similar to how aggro Warlocks would use the one Raffam card. 2. Prismatic Lens. This one I'm not too sure about, but I belive it was used to cheat out larger minions, as well as take advantage of your cheaper deck. Again, I don't have first hand experience, so this is just from videos I've seen. All of this is from Roffle, so take it up with him lol.
I actually played Rise to the Occasion paladin in standard for a bit, but the way I built it was to slowly complete the quest and then bounce Cariel back to hand a bunch of times to repeat the battlecry. This still wasn’t good, but it showed that really what it needed was for Cariel’s battlecry to do more.
Thanks for the video. And yeah, RUclips is getting worse and worse for new content creators. Without the like/dislike ratio, people can’t tell at a glance that you made a good video, just that it has fewer views than the other options.
Oh that’s an interesting point about the like/dislike thing I hadn’t considered. If this were my full time job I’d probably care more but it’s more of a hobby for me
I've been thinking on how the card could've been saved, and the only Idea I have is to make the card summon a Doom Bot alongside the armor. Instead of only armor.
I used to play Rise to the Occasion a lot because I happened to open it in a pack. I knew it was bad and I'm not gonna pretend it wasn't underperforming, but it still felt good enough... though I might be confusing some of my memories of it with memories of playing Libram Pally. 😅
Well the quest paladín become actually good on wild with the renathal inclusion, being a deck that can finish quest by turn 4, play the reward turn 5 and kill youre opponent on the next turns
rise to the ocasion works rather well in duels with turalyons summon a silver hand and get a silver hand hero power aswell as the signature treasure, throw in a holy maki roll and a sinfull souscheff etc and youre cooking
The running theory is that it originally had to do with shuffling bombs into your opponents deck (as in the image) but at the last second it was changed to not be too strong
Dr Boom Scheme would be awesome card if it worked like Thadius - changing every turn no matter if it's on hand or deck or even not in game at all. IMO. P.s. yes i want that card to be broken.

Yeah you don’t realize quite how many one drops you have to play
the effect feels like it should've said "summon" instead of "play" for it to work with silver hand recruits.
@@davveds145Would be way to easyatthat point.
@@TrixyTrixtercouldn’t you just adjust the number then?
Yeah the fact that they never changed cariel to +3/+3 to silver hand recruits is insane to me

for the first card: not to mention branching paths in wild is a 4 mana gain 12 armour but also much more flexible than beetlemancy
branching paths invalidates a lot of cards. Esp compare it to dr book scheme
