As a regular Type 5 Heavy player, I can say this is not how normally 90% of the games go, these kinds of games are like 10 in 1 mostly
1 in 10 I hope.. It also says a lot that in his 2 best games he had to fight T8 tanks.
Well I can tell you normally people don’t do 8000k+ combined 90% of the time in ANY tank. You don’t need to be a type 5 heavy player to figure this out.

we have different match making dude. streamers have perfect and the rng is with them, we cant do anything when we lose 0-5 at 80% of our battles the first 3 minutes.and of course almost never playing tier 10 against tier 8 like streamers
QuickyBaby, you should do a Master Class video for the E-75, one of these days. It's my favourite tank in the game, and I know that it's one you really like as well.
Yeeees, it's literally so much fun playing a strong German Heavy Tank. If I play it against tier 7s it's absolute carnage

The japanese heavies are suppose to get reworked sometime this year. Hopefully they will become more consistent and fun to play. Until then, they will sit in my garage.

I got to the type 5 about a year ago. I remember being a free to player a few years ago and thinking “omg it’s invincible!” When I’d go against it in my tier 8s. But when I actually got to it, the luster wore off fast with how much people spam prammo

turbo hardening rammer is the only setup you need, vents are useless
The master class videos are my favorite, another great one. I'm currently grinding this one now, I'm at the tier 8 so shouldn't take long to get the Type 5 H
I don't feel like two games vs tier 8s and the last game where everyone but the 114 SP2 aimed like an absolute bot are very representative of how terrible the Type 5's armor is. The hull armor is quite thick on the Type 5, but anything with 290ish pen (including many tier 8 gold rounds) can go right through the front of the Type's turret and everyone but the 114 SP2 at the end there was aiming for the hull armor. 90 percent of the time, everyone will just load gold and hole-punch your turret over and over
well, good that majority of players cant really aim very well, so in practice you bounce more than 10% ;)

Playing against ‘not the best’ understatement of the year QB 😂 like an old fashioned shooting range all walking into your crosshairs. That said great masterclass on the type 5 👍

I have the type 5, and although the 14cm is pretty good the biggest problem is the very flat armor that just catches all the HEAT without bouncing very much eve from lower tiers. But I saw that WG are planning some changes for the type so hopefully they buff it a bit
u just gotta learn to angle better no reason low tier should be penning you that easily unless they spam gold and even than
@@whitefox25 there is always a relatively flat surface on this tank no matter the angle, you can pretty much pen it at will, you just have to know where to aim.

they will add a weakspot that can be penned with regular tier8 ammo reliably
I have never been able to master the Type 5H... I loved it for what it is, but finally sold it and retrained the crew for Jap TDs. Watching this video, I am a bit tempted to buy it again and try my luck, but I guess I know how it's going to end :) so hopefully they will re-work the Jap Heavies as @fourche7 stated, then I will try again. Until then, I enjoy my TDs.

This might be an interesting, but I think it be kind of cool, doing master class for the Amx 50b, as out of the meta as it is I found myself having alot of fun with it every now and then

I think its better to take Lightweight suspension instead of All-Terrain because the increase in resistances dont affect hard or med and id rather have HUGE hp tracks.

I adore my type 5. I think one of its strengths is it's not so common anymore. People almost seem to forget how to shoot at it. Like QB said, just waltz in at roughly 45 degrees and you're good to go 5/10 times.
Load gold and aim beside the gun mantlet, problem solved. Especially with 340 heats

Yeah, the top gun is definitely better than the derp gun, but I love the derp just because of its caliber to overmatch enemy armor with those pitiful AP rounds, and somehow it worked for me until now.

I used to think the type 5 was just a stright upgrade from the Maus, I mean its faster, hits harder and the armour is actually better in some places. But far too often the hull armour just isn't quite enough to do well against its own tier. I feel like it should have a small buff to its front hull armour, nothing outrageous, just enough so that if you angle it correctly you should be near invincible. Before you say 'that would be OP' this is a game where every other heavy tank can just poke its turret over a ridgeline and be invincible with zero effort , at least my way you need to actually have some brains to do effectively.
Dang it QB, you make it look so easy. Before the nerf, this tank was hilariously fun. Now more frustrating than anything. I’ll have the rare great game but this thing just doesn’t hold up very well in tier 10. I’m probably a try hard on this tank, thus the frustration. 😂 I hope the upcoming rework is for the better. 🍻

I’ve been grinding my type 4 forever. Part of that is my fault, I’m grinding a ton a tanks all at once, so a stupid number of 78-t9’s of all types. But also because of work, I don’t play as much as I used to. I definitely have some pretty good games here and there in it, with like 3-4k blocked, and 2-3k damage the. Others where I’m 4k damage. But depending on the map, how I’m playing. And my teams, it can very old to play. Very fast.

Type 5 is just the definition of a trader tank, if you dont dare to trade you are doing it wrong
Exactly, you should not rely on you armor too much. With your large HP pool, and good alfa dmg you should trade favorably.

Now that qb has played the type 5 , I’ll be able to have high damage games with my t30 and E100 since most of the random queues will be filled with the type 5 heavies

i actually prefer the 152mm gun, and for the AP rounds specifically. it's one of the only vehicles that mounts a gun that high with so much depression, and it can overmatch the top deck or roof of any vehicle in the game, (minus the 268/4, but you have the funny bar on top.) at hugging distance, it has a 100% pen chance against every vehicle unless they're a very small light, and then you can squish them. i know that this isn't necessarily good, but i feel it's the only thing that no other vehicle in the game can do and if i just wanted to be durable, i'd play the maus instead. also, when you win a flank and hit someone in the side or rear with an HE you can see them panic >:)

Can't talk about the Type5 yet, but gotta say I'm not really enjoying the Type4 so far. Hopefully it gets better when I finally unlock the 14cm gun, cause the stock gun was absolute garbage, and the 15cm gun is only a small improvement.
Hate to break it to you, but post the HE changes, this line is absolute garbage for the time being

On the console, the 15cm gun fires HE standard and prem is 330 pen HEAT

Love to see a slower tank! I'd very much love to see a master class on the T95, been wondering about my equipment setups. Can't bring myself to drop the bond gun rammer, durability or bond protection on my first loadout.

Anyone else remember when he suggested you used the Derp gun on the tier 10 and the other gun on the tier 9?
This tank worked for me for HT15 as well, only took like 3 games in it. Fire gold in it because every other player will be firing gold at you
Type 5 was my first tier X. Still love the Type t, but indeed. Some games with this heavy beast are going not that good.. 🤣

Remembered when last year it was top on the tree. Then it was that month paus from wot altogether.
A enemy Type 5 on El Halluf had 300 hp left, and i watched our 1600 hp T57 Heavy jumping around the rock to kill him. The T57 bounced or missed all 4 shots, and was then rammed to death by the Type 5. The MM is crazy. T57 only penned 4 of 14, and probably shot HE only, since he did 850 dmg. You cannot expect to win when half the team are muppets in tier x. Besides, that shot on top plate 268v4 was really bad, i would never had fired.
I remember the days when the Type 5 Heavy was one of the most OP tier 10 heavy tanks in the game. They buffed the armor and introduced the stupid derp gun.
Qb i think angling more in type 5 is better cuz they gonna dump heat 24 7. The side armor is strong against heat
The side armor is really thin. Besides if you show your side they'll just hit your shoulder

It's a shame now that the Type 5 is so nerfed I got the 3 marks when it was his peak and the derp OP gun and it was so awful the amount of average dmg per battle

im a different breed, this is still my favorite tank in the game, and i take a masochistic pride in every time i make my opponents cash go negative by bouncing their gold rounds, my philosophy for this tank is that if the enemies are shooting me their gun is on cooldown so my friends can have fun.
the Type 5 is kinda like the Tiger 1 in that you really can make use of your health being so high.
Maus would work 10 times better for that purpose :)

The japanese derp guns are only viable till tier 7 o-ni , after that it's just better to use single shot gun

I love this tank I wish it was on wot blitz soooo bad I hate that it's some reason bad now even with its insane armor but because of gold rounds its not so great :((( lol but it's so massive and good size gun just how can you not love it they should buff it just a little to make it where it's atleast not below average

Would’ve loved the “Don’t recommend the tank” at the first 5 seconds.
Lately in the Type 5, I stopped caring about doing damage and instead just use my armor, HP, and weight to bully enemies out of the way. I find that when you play aggressively and spend HP generously, I also end up doing more damage somehow.
Probably because you arent sitting behind a wall with a round in the chamber waiting for the right moment, rather you are slamming that round as it loads. It's a fun playstyle for sure

What about the O-I, 10 cm high pen gun, or the 15 cm derp gun?
10 cm is way to go. Even before HE changes I used 10 cm because it's so much more consistent and reliable. If you play O-I for fun 15 cm is for you but if you are playing with it to get to the O-Ni or if you are chasing MoE 10 cm is way to go

Brothers In Arms still works, you can just build it up incrementally now like other skills

@@Aoupful You still need it on all crew members to get the full bonus, but you can now only partially train it and get still something, instead of it being completely useless until every crew member has it fully trained. So definitely not wasted slot, but allows you to be more strategic with what skills you pick first, especially if the tank has 5-6 crew members.

I had this vehicle for a while and literally everything goes through. Well I guess I played the wrong weapon but I ended up selling the whole tank after some horrible matches

i dont have the type 5 or the type 4, correct me someone if im wrong, but, is the type 4 better than the type 5? because when i look the stats, the pen, and the alpha damage for a tier 9 tank looks goog when you face this tank with tier VII tanks.
type 4 can be better if you use the 15cm troll gun, it actually works in tier 9.
I still struggle play IS-7 in f2p account
A pity that cliff-dive failed to land directly on the enemy Type 5, that would've gotten you to your 6k damage for sure.

Is the type 5 heavy worth it? I’m relatively new to Heavy Tanks, I mostly play lights and mediums but want to go down one of the super heavy lines. How’s the grind? Is the pay off worth it? I’m not talking how competitive just is the tank fun to play?
Maus is best superheavy, very powerful for just going in and taking/bouncing shots, excellent at surviving and you can do some damage. Type has only better alpha damage, but gun itself is worse, also armor is a lot worse. E100 has best guns, is slightly faster but you are not bouncing anything in that. PZ7 is just a complete garbage, forget about that, yeah gun handling is very nice, but its slow, no armor, no hitpoints , no dpm...its just shit.
Also worth mentioning, E100 has best grinding line

HELL NAH. Unless it gets buffed. Maus is the same tank but better in every single way except alpha damage.
if you are new, don't go for type 5 as first heavy, go for a russian heavy, those are all pretty good, most recommended is IS-7, or the german E 100
@@zican7491 Not necessarily new too Heavy’s I have super conq and T110 just new too the super heavy lines. I’ll probably go down Maus first though since a bunch of people agree with you that Type 5 isn’t really the move
