I totally agree. After nerfing the HE and giving the type 4 and type 5 heavy a new gun with poor penetration even with gold ammo means that WG are not bothered with these tanks. I unlocked the type 5 but did not buy it as I saw no point in it.
i got the Type 5 heavy back when if first released because of the fun HE shells it got! but some random Tryhard P2W idiot went and cried when his 100 dollar tank wasnt able to absorb every HE sent it's way and reported it to oblivion, making Wargaming go "oh no, one of our highest paying customers are complaining about a tank we released! I respect that QB is rationalizing the RNG of the shot against the T32. But that doesn't address the issue that this was actually a WG problem. 15:40 - Live in the game, what QB sees should have been a penetration through the mg port. His game client side doesn't show the Tiger gun in the way at all. 17:39 - However serverside has the wreck of the Tiger in a different position. So the replay shows that there is a HUGE discrepancy between server/client sync. There is no reason for there to be any desync between clients of a wrecked tank. It is no longer receiving any human input so modeled shape should be identical between every player in that game.
I was watching a kajzoo video last night and he took a shot at a tank that was zooming at full speed. The client clearly showed his shot missing the tank but the tank still died anyway. Client-side discrepancies are so annoying.
I was going to say the same thing, but first I checked to see if anyone else has spotted this. Very interesting. I think it is the difference betwin what you see playing live on local PC and the reality on the server. Strange.
In the gameplay the tiger's gun is barely inside the reticle when QB fires, and the shell is pretty obviously not deviating that far left. It looked like a well aimed shot. The replay makes it look like the gun was nearly in the centre of the reticle and the shot was quite chancy.
That reminds me of once when I was in a game and I was the last tank alive against the last enemy tank alive, and we were one-shots for each other. I turned the gun to the right, pulled the trigger, and the shell went out the back of the turret. The replay showed that the turret had instead turned to the left on the server's side, because the server decided that turning the turret 270 degrees left was the best way to get the turret turned around. One of my most frustrating moments ever, and I still remember it vividly almost 10 years later lol

Reason I love my O-NI and O-HO 1. The O-NI is the only heavy tank that has the biggest caliber gun at tier 7 and it can overmatched the roof of the BZ-176 (149.1mm that fires AP) 2. I prefer to use the derp gun more than the 105mm gun who needs penetration when I can overmatch roof decks 3. On Glacier map I found a hidden spot where the O-NI is tall enough not to get drown 4. I think that with the lack of games played in the O-Ni the stats are kinda skewed. The T-29 is only 0.2% behind and has been played 10x as much. The tiger too is not far behind with even more games. (Edit): I feel that the games show this, even though QB was against tier 8 tanks the tank just doesn’t perform well, it’s a tank that you play for those top tier matchups and when it’s against higher tier tanks it struggles hard with its armour, I feel that if he was in a t29 or a tiger he would of done a lot more.
Agreed, I would argue that O-Ni is almost exclusively played by either good players wanting to have fun or total noobs who see a giant tank and want it (myself many years ago). It’s a tank inhabited by almost no middle ground skill-wise, so it’s definitely going to be skewed to be either really high or really low depending on what month it is. I’ve seen it on both the very top and almost at the bottom, and there’s no telling where it will be next month. All that said, I’m an NA player and I don’t know how the EU server might differ. I trust your knowledge on the server stats in that regard.

Nah the O-ni is sleeper busted, the gun is better than the t29 since the nerfs, and the armor as well. Only issue is that it is obscenely huge and hard to hide against gold spam.
Apart from the Type 5 this was the last Japanese "box tank" that I had. I disposed of those vehicles as I looked for crews for the Japanese TDs and the "modern" heavy line.
I remember playing O-Ni when it was still hella fun. Shredding tier 9 tanks with ease... But now, I found Carro P.88 and Ju-To very funny to play with.. surprisingly
QB shot at T32 just disappears. Clearly aimed at hull of tank NO rocks within aim circle, just flat out ghost. Surprising also because QB was shooting Gold. We all know tapping the 2 key gives you better RNG. Rock on Tankers 🤘😎
I adore the Japanese superheavies, it's one of my favorite tank lines in the game, but the HE nerfs hit them so damn hard. Really feel like they could use a TINY bit of help in the late tiers. The O-Ni is good tho.
They need more armor but give them weakspots. Their armor just does not really work anymore when every new tier 8 and above has 300+ gold penetration. What is the point of carrying so much armor if it gets penetrated straight through the toughest parts?
@@BlackoutGootraxian I do feel like, compared to the other big superheavy, the armor just does not do what it needs to because of all the rampant gold pen. Like if I load up a game in my Type 5, 9 times outta 10 it’s just gold spam and the armor does very little. If it was folks just aiming for the weak spots I’d be fine with it, but they’re literally just aiming at the thickest parts of my armor lmao.

You should concider that there are tanks who are mainly played with gold ammo only. No wonder those tanks are highly ranked in the stats. A look on the profitability stats should help...

Love my O-Ni! Still has my highest XP record! Although it is tough to use, I still prefer the derp gun. I find myself seeing more tier 6s than I do 8s, so I still keep it around. Just started using it again after about a year of it collecting dust. Trying to unlock all of the field mods for it.
@@AetherYes, not really. I still use regular HE for the most part. Once in a while, I'll switch over to HEAT. Honestly can't remember the last time I used AP rounds on the derp gun.
why all terrain suspension? why not increase the track health. or at least don't pick anything. but to lower the track hp on a tank like this..... and by the way, it will still go at full speed on soft terrain with increasing the track health.

Nope QB...that is WG saying no...I had a one where the replay death cam...showed the shell pass through a dead Panther engine compartment from side to side and into my turret.

When rng isn't your friend, played for 2 hours the other day and most of the games my teams got absolutely steam rollered so I gave up and logged off lol
I am not a statistician but when you have a tank that is only played 14k in a small period vs a much more popular tank with 107k battles. I think we can disregard these slight performance differences. More players are playing the T29 and can average out this tank. Where the top 4 other tanks combined only have 37.42k games, or not even a 33% of the T29’s games. Maybe there are better performing tanks and could encourage players to play other tanks to understand what happens players are clustering around a ‘meta’ tank to play it far more. Maybe it is better and the O-Ni would have worst player stats if it was played as much. So rare stats do lie Will.....
You have the exemple of why I've stopped shooting PL tanks with standard ammo. They are idiot proof with stupid armor and insane alpha so I've got 0 wrong feeling about paying to destroy them
I have one Billotte's medal for destroying 2 enemies while having 5 damaged modules/crew members and losing 80% hit points, replay video in my channel. I didn't even know there's a higher Tarczay's medal in the same category and QB, playing for 12(?)+ years only have one. Talk about WG and their unachievable medals.
WR diff is not a perfect metric either to determine the best tank, because of skill cap and skill floor. The O-Ni might give low WR players a lot of value, but a T29 has higher potential and it will give higher WR players way more value in proportion compared to the O Ni. All depends on what you consider a better tank: one that elevates your WR in general, or one that has advantages that only higher skill players can use.
QB just like wargaming isn't capable of complex thought and neither is most of the player base. Point at some bigger numbers and give them a green colour and the animals will eat that shit up. I mean look no further than his deranged thought that putting vents on that tank is somehow better than putting on a rotation device or a turbo or anything that actually has a direct and noticeable effect.
@@sirstrinkalot Yea, that argument of his completely disregards the synergy of certain other equipment pieces on tanks he likes to spam Vents over everything, cause "it gives 3% increase in everything". Like on a 60TP, the raw increase in gun handling is way better than 3% in everything, because of how the tank works.
It is really sad to see what has become of these once wonderful tanks after the HE nerf. You have to load gold ammo all the time especially when you play the type 4 and type 5, as they have very poor pen values.

T32 and M46 Fatton are just Disappointing Thoughts, having to take a Step Back and use a Stock Gun on the M46 because the Game won't let you use the Top Gun from the Pershing seems kind of Ridiculous if you ask me... I REALLY need to Look Up the Module Changes in the Test Server before I go to Bed I think... SU101 not entirely Sold On either, not the Panther II, and I have the Tortoise and Badger Unlocked as well... BZ166 looked Interesting at one Point, as did the Type 71 Line, was never REALLY Interested in the Japanese TD's but WG's Unlocked all the way to Tier 8 in Most of my Lines I have yet to Look At... The Tech tree Experience anymore is Less than Stellar, and Far too Expensive to Waste Credits On these Days... The Constant Bottom Tiered MM doesn't Help either, and besides, who needs to Grind a Tank anymore when you can just Wait for WG to Unlock them all for you...

Seems to me it's not desync, but just a visual bug? (it sometimes happens in other situations where multiple hitboxes partially overlap the target)
Compare 15:40 and 17:39. The Tiger barrel wasn't in the same position in the live gameplay and the replay. It's a pretty huge discrepancy actually.

That tiger gun was not in the same spot in the replay as it was in the game. At 15:40 it was not in the same place as in the replay at 17:39

O-Ni is definitely among my all time favorite tanks. Even tho it has those mini turrets, it's not that restrictive as the O-Ho is.
"Overhang" might also work in some circumstances. "Canopy" is usually reserved for a soft covering.
I thought it would be the Tiger 1. Insane DPM, 3rd marks on that tank was so easy too.
Honestly i dont mind seeing a non-meta tank for once, the japenese superheavies really need some love (except the tier 5 and 6 ois, they are fine).

WG massively buffed the 105mm gun kn the T-32, but massively nerfed the exact same gun on the T-29.
Love my O-Ni! Still has my highest XP record! Although it is tough to use, I still prefer the derp gun. I find myself seeing more tier 6s than I do 8s, so I still keep it around. Just started using it again after about a year of it collecting dust. Trying to unlock all of the field mods for it.

@@AetherYes, not really. I still use regular HE for the most part. Once in a while, I'll switch over to HEAT. Honestly can't remember the last time I used AP rounds on the derp gun.

why all terrain suspension? why not increase the track health. or at least don't pick anything. but to lower the track hp on a tank like this..... and by the way, it will still go at full speed on soft terrain with increasing the track health.

Does WR difference take into account recent win rate or overall? Since i've been playing since 2011 and my stats are still rising.
I’ll take a look at it later today and try to see. I can’t remember if Tomato shows WR diff or not on tanks in your account. If it did, it would answer the question. If not, then I would really love to see a statistical analysis video on it. I’m the kind of nerd who enjoys seeing good numbers 😜.
When rng isn't your friend, played for 2 hours the other day and most of the games my teams got absolutely steam rollered so I gave up and logged off lol
I am not a statistician but when you have a tank that is only played 14k in a small period vs a much more popular tank with 107k battles. I think we can disregard these slight performance differences. More players are playing the T29 and can average out this tank. Where the top 4 other tanks combined only have 37.42k games, or not even a 33% of the T29’s games.
Maybe there are better performing tanks and could encourage players to play other tanks to understand what happens players are clustering around a ‘meta’ tank to play it far more. Maybe it is better and the O-Ni would have worst player stats if it was played as much.

i played today and the guns aren´t working, i was just shooting enemies but nothing happened. this game is little bit broken i think.
You have the exemple of why I've stopped shooting PL tanks with standard ammo. They are idiot proof with stupid armor and insane alpha so I've got 0 wrong feeling about paying to destroy them

I have one Billotte's medal for destroying 2 enemies while having 5 damaged modules/crew members and losing 80% hit points, replay video in my channel. I didn't even know there's a higher Tarczay's medal in the same category and QB, playing for 12(?)+ years only have one. Talk about WG and their unachievable medals.

WR diff is not a perfect metric either to determine the best tank, because of skill cap and skill floor. The O-Ni might give low WR players a lot of value, but a T29 has higher potential and it will give higher WR players way more value in proportion compared to the O Ni. All depends on what you consider a better tank: one that elevates your WR in general, or one that has advantages that only higher skill players can use.
QB just like wargaming isn't capable of complex thought and neither is most of the player base. Point at some bigger numbers and give them a green colour and the animals will eat that shit up.
I mean look no further than his deranged thought that putting vents on that tank is somehow better than putting on a rotation device or a turbo or anything that actually has a direct and noticeable effect.
@@sirstrinkalot Yea, that argument of his completely disregards the synergy of certain other equipment pieces on tanks he likes to spam Vents over everything, cause "it gives 3% increase in everything". Like on a 60TP, the raw increase in gun handling is way better than 3% in everything, because of how the tank works.

It is really sad to see what has become of these once wonderful tanks after the HE nerf. You have to load gold ammo all the time especially when you play the type 4 and type 5, as they have very poor pen values.

have it unlocked, haven't bought it... and, I don't do Food, because Fires Suck.... Have a Few Tanks Unlocked I have yet to Buy, most aren't Tripping .my Trigger, but a Few like the Jagdtiger are Sorely Tempting.... I actually Liked the Ferd, I Played it in Onslaught Lite like a Heavy and it didn't do too Badly...
T32 and M46 Fatton are just Disappointing Thoughts, having to take a Step Back and use a Stock Gun on the M46 because the Game won't let you use the Top Gun from the Pershing seems kind of Ridiculous if you ask me... I REALLY need to Look Up the Module Changes in the Test Server before I go to Bed I think... SU101 not entirely Sold On either, not the Panther II, and I have the Tortoise and Badger Unlocked as well... BZ166 looked Interesting at one Point, as did the Type 71 Line, was never REALLY Interested in the Japanese TD's but WG's Unlocked all the way to Tier 8 in Most of my Lines I have yet to Look At...
The Tech tree Experience anymore is Less than Stellar, and Far too Expensive to Waste Credits On these Days... The Constant Bottom Tiered MM doesn't Help either, and besides, who needs to Grind a Tank anymore when you can just Wait for WG to Unlock them all for you...
