Just before I went to bed last night, I checked RUclips and @BobbyFuzzy had just posted a video on this, so I followed the instructions, loaded FS and plonked myself at my home Airport EGGD (Bristol). Opened FR24 on my phone and noticed an Easyjet 321 on finals. Went to Drone mode on MSFS - and there she was lights and all! Followed her all the way to parking - and with sound! Unbelievable. Fantastic stuff, can't wait to immerse myself in its glory!

That's awesome!! Thank you so much! The Ai-Group download that took forever never worked for me, but this took a fraction of the time and works perfectly!!! Can't thank you enough!! My now sim experience is exactly how I envisaged it :)
Looking forward to installing this, but there is one thing you youtubers need to tell developers of these software. It has to do with the ai traffic density sliders. They need to allow a way to either set the destination sliders' numbers different from the departure airport sliders from the start, or better yet find a way to make the changes mid flight as you approach your destination. The reason is, if you fly from KSFO to KBUR, you may want to set the percentage at 60% at KSFO which should give you a good amount of traffic as it's a big airport with lots of flights. This helps performance and reduces chances of clogging. But Burbank is a smaller airport with less flights so that 60% may not be enough for that airport and maybe 80% would be best there...
Oh wow, how easy was that. I'm like you though, going to keep AIG as well. Especially after all the work to get it running...lol. Great tutorial as always mate.

Since this video is a little old I was wondering how it compares to FS Traffic and AIG if you’ve tried it recently. Another quick question is if you do go with FSLTL is it still recommended to use AIG at the same time? Your channel is awesome btw!
FS Traffic - payware, don't have it.... AIG - I still use it though it's harder to install and the UI is a messy nightmare. FSLTL is much simple to use but I use both FSLTL and also AIG at the same time
Regarding vPilot and the .vmr file. Reading the supplied vmr file shows that it does not reference any particular airline and also all the ModelNames ends in "ZZZZ" but there is no such model title in the related aircraft.cfg file hence I do not see other aircraft of the correct modelname. In your own xtremepaul etc modelmatching vmr file you include a CallsignPrefix which to my knowledge is the only way to see an actual livery being used otherwise presuming one has a correct ModelName as opposed to "ZZZZ" you will see i.e. all A320 in the same livery irrespective of the livery being flown by the other pilot. it can do both. It can model match when in VATSIM, or if you are not on the network it can inject real world traffic. You just dont want to do both at the same time.
Wouldn't the Injector "conflict" with actual VATSIM traffic? Or is it clever enough to let the VATSIM injector get priority so you don't get a FSTL plane and VATSIM plane parked at the same stand?
Yes it would - only use one or the other (as I mention in the video - you either set it up and use it for Vatsim or use it for offline flying instead using the injector)
On viewing other reviews of FSTL, I made the foolish mistake of deleting AIG, then installed FSTL, I am lucky if FSTL recognises two or three planes. I have tried to reinstall AIG Manager, but after 8 hours over night, it was still had the scrolling bar saying loading airports, I had to stop it so I could go work. I should have kept AIG, and did as you did, move FSTL VMR to the top. So back to the drawing board for me.
After you install the injector it adds a toolbar icon that will let you remove nearby traffic, which you would use if you need to clear any traffic on your approach or the runway.
Hello! Amazing video, thanks for the tips. I had one question. Will this work will real world AI traffic? Do you have to install the injector for that? Thanks!
You can't sadly - if the vmr can't make it work then it'll display a generic one instead until the add-on (AIG or FSLTL etc) include the livery/model that isn't working
Good question, keep AIG installed as I mention (with the AIG VMR file to match the files too) and then put the FSLTL vmr at the top like I showed in the video... That way if it scans the FSLTL models and can't find a match, it'll then search AIG instead as a bonus safety net

I thought it was very clear in the video 😂 I said one section is for people who use Vatsim and the second section is for people who fly offline
Noice
Nice easy to follow tutorial, nice bit of kit
Thank you Daddy Luke
Thanks 🤣
Wouldn't the Injector "conflict" with actual VATSIM traffic? Or is it clever enough to let the VATSIM injector get priority so you don't get a FSTL plane and VATSIM plane parked at the same stand?
if flying on vatsim dont use the injector thats only used for in game atc not vatsim
Yes it would - only use one or the other (as I mention in the video - you either set it up and use it for Vatsim or use it for offline flying instead using the injector)
@@BritishAvgeek thanks for explaining. I must have overheard that part in the video 😀
If only you saw this video first then! 😅
Nice tutorial. Do we need to enter the API everytime we launch this injector. Please help with your inputs
Nope it should remember it!
Does my base model folder have to be in my community folder?
Either directly or via a symlink like using Addon Linker
Wow, this looks great! One question though - when flying to a busy airport like Heathrow, how do you avoid TCAS alerts when trying to land?
That's the issue I guess with using the live traffic... Not sure what to suggest there
After you install the injector it adds a toolbar icon that will let you remove nearby traffic, which you would use if you need to clear any traffic on your approach or the runway.
@@JimInTexas1 where does this icon appear?
@@budguy21 on the default MSFS toolbar, on the top of your screen.
Great vídeo, So there is no problem with keeping Aig traffic installed and using fsltl?
Nope I use them both together using both vmr files in vPilot (as I showed in the video - FSLTL at the top)
This is excellent news!
Sure is!
So I want to ask does vpilot/xpilot accept more than one model matching files?(.vmr file)
Yes, I showed 3 in use at the same time in this video!
Looks great. I shall be installing this. Also wonder what Just Flights traffic program will be like.
Not sure - but it's just got a whole lot of extra free competition!
Hello! Amazing video, thanks for the tips. I had one question. Will this work will real world AI traffic? Do you have to install the injector for that? Thanks!
Hi! Yes, you'll need to install and run the injector for live traffic
Do I have to run it everytime with the black window open while flying?
It'll be running in the background (I was showing it to demonstrate what it is doing)
But my downloads will directly go to the community is that fine ?
Yes
Do I have to wait till the DOS window closes itself or does it say when its ready
just leave the DOS window to run in the background
How do u fix models that dont get recognised on vatsim?
You can't sadly - if the vmr can't make it work then it'll display a generic one instead until the add-on (AIG or FSLTL etc) include the livery/model that isn't working
we needed this. just a question, noticed youre on windows 11. Hows the performance on msfs?
it's been absolutely golden! :)
Thank you sir :)
What is the point of the API? What happens if you run it without entering an API?
You will still slowly see the feed of flight radar aircraft come in 👍 the API is just an extra layer
How to do I get it on xbox
You cant.
If i have vanilla vpilot is this a good option for model matching?
Absolutely! 😁
@@BritishAvgeek thanks for replying, Will those .vmr's cover ga like a 172, beech 18 or dc3?
@@bldsprt518 unfortunately it won't - the models/liveries need to be in FSLTL for them to match and it'll mainly cover airlines
Thanks! Subbed. Great channel.
@@bldsprt518 thanks, great to hear!
This looks awesome! I was getting tired of AIG's jankiness.
Absolutely - so so so much easier!
Does it not show traffic nameplates?
unfortunately not - it's not designed to work in that way I don't believe
Hi there, this looks really good and a great tutorial. Does this or can it replace FS Simple Traffic?
Yup! Simple traffic also only uses the default models so this is a big improvement
Absolutely! simple traffic was a simple default model system sold as payware with liveries on it... Never been a fan of that personally myself 🙂
Hi, does this also works with P3D and vPilot?
Probably not no
Very cool. I did see you were still running your AIG matching in vPilot. Are you planning on just running FSLTL or continue with both?
As I mentioned in the video I'm keeping both for now 👍
Hello, Thank you for the tutorial. Does "keep AIG" mean to run it along with FSLTL, or just keep the AIG folder inside the Community?
hey, you need to delete the AIG community folder otherwise you will notice some problems within FSLTL.
Or even better make a Backup and test it and later decide wich one you will pick. greetings
@@Aceuchiha. Ok, thank you. I'll move it to another location
Good question, keep AIG installed as I mention (with the AIG VMR file to match the files too) and then put the FSLTL vmr at the top like I showed in the video... That way if it scans the FSLTL models and can't find a match, it'll then search AIG instead as a bonus safety net
Goodbye AIG you were fun but your job is done now ^^
Personally I've still kept AIG too
@@BritishAvgeek Yeah I can see I was having issues with AIG and fsltl not working so I had to remove some AIG files to get fsltl to work right.
I can understand keeping AIG files for plane liveries I was at EGGD and the Easyjet a320 was fine but the a319 was just white.
amazin, wonder if this will ever include helicopters,my local airport is ABZ and is probably the biggest heliport in the country,,that would be brilliant..🤔😄
It work on my msfs
Sometimes they depart of the wrong runway
great...
