There are a few in Dawlish in Devon. They feature on the town sign and have been there as long as I can remember. Which is longer than I feel like admitting.
They are wild and native where I come from in South East, South Australia. In the winter the paddocks go underwater and they nest in the swamps. Seeing swans everywhere is a sign of a good wet winter. They are amazing birds. It must be crazy to see black swans in the Uk.
Yeah, i saw a lone black swan on a stream-bank a while back when i was visiting family down in Hampshire. It waddled down into the water when we got nearer along the path. I was surprised it was there on its own.
Wow i was wondering if there was anywhere i could see these swans in the uk since your Australian video on them. Yeah i guess they do look smaller than the large ones ya see at the jeffs more geese size. Tbf i dont think iv ever heard a swan make a noise other than to hiss. They are beautiful. Anyway glad your well. Forest of dean is great went to the puzzle wood this year, was magical, not much in the way of wildlife tho. Too many people i suppose. Well i did see a mouse at the barn on the way in and some petting zoo animals. Anyway Glad your doing well and ty for you making interesting nature videos to reignite interest in uk wildlife.

You've probably had them since the 1800s if they're on the sign, some baron probably ordered a few of them and released them there.
Looks like a couple Egyptian Geese with them too.
