In Blizzard Wolfang's story, he was the last survivor of his team. He was set up as a Maverick and killed. This music sets up the tragic mood of his backstory!
@MiDSinister Well, I had to do a lot of modifying. I had to split each channel with harmonies up into each individual channel, and make sure no more than 8 notes were playing at a time to fit it into the SNES limitations. I also split sections of channels into other channels with different instruments to simulate the SNES' ability to switch samples mid-song (an example of this is the electric pianos in the background switch to synth strings halfway through the song).
@NidisonSilva Me, I made the SNES style X slashing the Z Saber sprite from scratch years ago, and made the background and foreground tiles from recolored and re-purposed tiles from Crystal Snail and Chill Penguin's stages.
@ChaosRayZero ...Yep. I sometimes go overboard in describing things, but I just wanted to drive home the point to the people watching that this is actually within the SNES' limitations, whereas there are many videos with "SNES remixes" that actually are MIDIs with SNES samples tossed in randomly.
Oooooohhhh, why didn't I found this before😁😁😁 Sorry for being soooo late my friend this a masterpiece of remix. I like a lot the x6 soundtrack and this make it sooo much better. New sub and instant like dude😁😁😁👍
@Oondivinezin Yeah, I'm definitely going to do more of these, it's just a bit time consuming to get them within the SNES' limitations. Just have to get around to doing it is the problem. Heh.
both versions (original and this) evoke that lonely wolf reploid innocently minding his business, thrown into the freezing oceans to make it look like he had an accident, and now runs loose with nightmare virus
It's not completely out of the question. I mean, there's 8-Bit versions of MM7 and MM8, so I'd think this might be possible too. Just might take a bit of work to get around the more technical stuff, or just opt to leave it out in favor of a more classic SNES feel.
@Metalwario64 Yep, just found it. Definitely not me, and the guy either isn't a native English speaker, or he's a kid. I have no idea if he's claiming it to be his own, or is just posting it thinking it's relevant to that project (which he's on the wrong page for as you've said). Oh well, I'll just update the description and state that if this video is linked to from other locations, and I haven't specified any exceptions, then it wasn't linked to by me.
I know that sprite in the mock up screen shot is custom made. But can you get the Z Saber with X in X3 without getting the Armor? I don't think I've ever tried.
I'm pretty sure you can. I know I've gotten it with just the leg armor, since the Z Saber seems to be more effective if you can fire it immediately after a charge shot, rather than waiting for the armored buster's slower shots.
All I have to say is perhaps the rising note shortly after the start could go a little sharper. Other than that it feels like the original Megaman X and thats winrar! Imagine Chill Penguin with this theme....
Thanks! While I've made some tweaks and improvements over the years (which I need to get around to uploading), I'm still happy this one turned out as well as it did.
This is a pretty good chiptune of the song, but I think it could use a few tweaks. Namely, the echo on the bass and synthesizer chords sounds weird, and there's a few guitar notes that seem a tiny bit out of tune. Am I the only one who liked X1's instruments more than X2 and 3's?
Thanks for the critique! Perhaps I did overdue the reverb a bit. I did also notice that the chords were slightly dissonant with the synth brass, but I oddly liked it and kept them as a result. If I ever get around to uploading an MP3 of this somewhere (in the meantime I suggest people use RUclips MP3 converters), I'll see about tinkering with those very things before uploading it. I always appreciate feedback, so thanks very much for commenting! :)
Oh, and I forgot to mention that I've always preferred X2 and X3's instruments. X1's are good, but they sound slightly too flat and dull to me. I love the sharper style of the X2/X3 instrument set. You're not the only one who prefers X1's instruments though. I've seen a few people mention they only like X1's music and that they found X2 and X3's music too grating (though I obviously disagree).
@jkbproductions What the heck's do ya mean MMXC fake pages? I ain't posted this or nothin' on Facebook... Looks like someone's either trying to steal my work, or spread the word on it. Even if the forrmer, there's a part of me that's glad that it's good enough that someone wants to make people think they made it. I'll look and see what's going on. Also, just checked out your channel and just now found out about Mega Man X corruption. Looks like a pretty neat fan game.
This song is extremely well made. it invokes a feeling of loneliness, but also hope, just as it should.

That looks like a much more fun stage to play. Then again, I am a sucker for 16-bit MMX games.
Those guitars at the begining got me DEEP IN THEM FEELS-
@BD The backstory of Blizzard Wolfang is tragic
Breath of Fire 2 instruments really work well with a SNES remix.
This remix will always be a classic!
Dude, WOW. This is freaking AWESOME.
You should make more of these. I'm thoroughly enjoying this.

This is so beautiful. I never could have done this.

Sounds badass.
Enough said.

Thank you very much!
@@Metalwario64 No problem dude, keep up the amazing remixes😁👍
You definitely should make a 16bit remake of X6. I bet it would be amazing. Ever considered it?
Such relaxing music for depression 😢
@Oondivinezin
Yeah, I'm definitely going to do more of these, it's just a bit time consuming to get them within the SNES' limitations. Just have to get around to doing it is the problem. Heh.
@Metalwario64 Alright, sorry for the confusion.
I always hoped someone would remake X4-X6 in 16-bit, wish I had the skills to do it myself that alone would make them much better to me atleast.
both versions (original and this) evoke that lonely wolf reploid innocently minding his business, thrown into the freezing oceans to make it look like he had an accident, and now runs loose with nightmare virus
id like to play megaman x5 x6 in old style.. or x1 x2 x3 in ''newer'' style (x5 x6)

Gotta say, something about SNES Megaman X using the Z-saber is extremely cursed to me.
i have only one word for this EPIC
WHOA! Gotta rework my soundtrack right away! Awesome remix!
My favorite Mega Man X ice stage theme! Now in eargasmic SNES format!
@Makell
Well, if I knew how to, or learned to actually compose music, I might look into that. ;-)
Metal Slug
epicardo el tema y es bonito el tema!😎😎😎😎😎👍👍
Eu nunca pensei nisso que megaman x6 theme snes
Love it! 😤🔥🔥🔥🔥

Sounds Really awesome. Nice job!
Bons tempos.
Awesome

Yeah, you can get it without the armor. Hell, for years during my childhood, I thought that was the ONLY way to get it. XD
AeonTH
Haha! That's great! :p
In X3,you have to let Zero die in one of the sigma stages .
HunternamedZero Bro, ya gotta be more specific if you're gonna give that kind of advice.
Beautiful song!
Imagine if megaman x went all the way to 8 with the same snes graphics.
All I have to say is perhaps the rising note shortly after the start could go a little sharper. Other than that it feels like the original Megaman X and thats winrar! Imagine Chill Penguin with this theme....
came here where the video has exactly 66.666 views
Haha!
Pretty much sums this entire game.
Love it!
I wonder if X6 would be less painful in 16 bits.
if he's hot linking the video, you can foil him with annotations.
This is awesome.
Still awsome and well made to have that megaman x feeling to it 👍
_cool_ 😊🎧💞💗

Hi, could you tell me where to find this background image, I wanted to use it in a game
Cool.

Impressive!
the graphics in 32 bit. You must edit it into 16 bit
@jkbproductions
Nah, don't worry about it. Not your fault. :)
👍👍👍👍👍👍👏👏
guitar's pitch is a little bit too high imo
Metal Slug style
OK!
style x2
Sound’s like 80, 90 bits
I don't care too much about the PSX MMX games, (this one especially) but damn, this sounds awesome. Definitely sounds like something out of X3.
As una de blaze hetniz
This looks awesome! You took a shitty game level and made it look and soung good!
This is wavy af omg!
