Just discovered your channel & I’ve been binge watching your videos. You’re great, keep it up! I’d love to see what your morning routine is like, and also more about your digital minimalism. ❤
Welcome to the fam Natalia! 💜🩵 I have a video about my digital minimalism on the list, but I will add morning routine to the list too! Thank you for the idea 😊💘
Love your videos and your raw, authentic style. Glad I found your channel, my favorite minimalist channel (and not minimalist) right now. Love from Spain :)
Yyaaaasssss debt free and Dave Ramsey listener here too! I am trying to do the dishes before eating myself as well and for the same reason- it’s so nice to eat and appreciate and rest :)
Thanks for giving us that extra push that you can't find with the typical minimalists! Although I enjoy them, I find you unique and inspiring, in a way that is different than the others. It literally makes me want to take it up a notch! Plus, I enjoy your personality. ❤
Okay….idea for a vlog: could you do one on your philosophy on work? You’ve said that you majored in marketing in college; however, you did not take that path and go work in corporate America. I’m sure this was a conscious decision on your part and I’m just curious as to what’s your why? What is it about bartending that’s appealing to you? Is it the freedom you get, because you can go anywhere and get a job? And just curious what you do for healthcare coverage (insurance) and your take on that? (Another Vlog idea?) I really like how you articulate things and just your viewpoint, so any insight into these areas would be great! Thank you!
Carrie you psychically tuned into me 😄 I have a video coming soon about my college/career path 😉✨ I do have health insurance through my job because I am full time. (Not a big doctor person, but for emergency accidents it’s good to have)..
I found you recently and love your vibe and content. Thanks for sharing and being authentic, I’m getting a lot of inspiration and new mindset around my things, new ideas that I haven’t really experienced seeing other videos about minimalism over the years.
Hey 👋🏽 I’m loving your videos. You definitely inspired me to downsize my wardrobe for simplicity. I get overwhelmed easily and last year I experienced decision fatigue for the first time. I want easy and simple and peace. I keep my emails down to only the important ones until they are dealt with but the idea of paying a bill off as soon as you receive notice is smart. Thanks for sharing 😊
Great video! lol, I'll never forget that flat tire mountain moment! love that I got a verbal cameo in your youtube journey! I'm Inspired. Definitely taking some notes on simplifying life.
I wore that same cobalt blue color to work today love it! Before I sat down to look on RUclips and find something to watch, I walked around to every room, put my clothes in the hamper, hung my keys where they go, took everything out of my lunch bag and put it away. Such a satisfying feeling knowing that when I get up after I watch your video everything will already be in its home and I can move onto my next task of studying Japanese and exercising.
My husband and I gave up drinking about 2 years ago and it’s been truly amazing. Life is so much better. I never miss it and I love love love not drinking. ❤ I never want to put that poison into my body.
You are my new favorite RUclips channel! It's funny cuz you are so new but I'm excited to see what else you put out there. You seem different than most minimalist RUclipsrs in some way but it's intriguing. Also love seeing your subscribers grow pretty rapidly lately. I had a channel a few years back and it was hard to get subscribers so I'm happy to see that you are having a good start out of the gate!
Someday I want to reduce digital clutter. Physical clutter is easy because it's in my face, but digital clutter disappears when I turn off my device! I'm good with my email and texting, but my Google Drive is a huge mess of stuff. Someday...
Another inspiring video! I love your authenticity. Could you tell us about your visit to the Buddhist temple or your thoughts on Buddhism some time? Once again, thanks for sharing.
Love the content! I was wondering if you could maybe talk about decluttering in a future video. I realize that you can't really declutter because you're already a rather extreme minimalist but from this video I realize that at some point you had more things. Could you tell us at what point you decided to get rid of things, how long it took you, what did you do with the stuff etc? You clearly enjoy being a minimalist but how was the road to getting there? I am really trying to declutter but I'm far for where I want to be. I feel it will take me a lifetime to get rid of my stuff, it's so hard to declutter in a responsible way.
I love your channel! I’m a minimalist, vegan, & practice yoga! So we have a lot in common. But I also get inspired by your content! Thank you so much for posting these videos. They really help to keep me on tract!♥️💕❤️👍✅💯
You make a lot of good points. I’m trying to learn how to not stay busy all the time myself. I definitely feel lazy when I don’t but I know relaxing is important too.
I used to never be able to stop being busy with something, but that got me very burnt out. I know cherish times of slow living- it is vital to my mental and emotional health and as serving as a reset so I can go back into the world ⚡️
I am just really digging your content and spirit. We are definitely of like mind. Unfortunately, my husband does not embrace minimalism. I attempted to move toward extreme minimalism back in 2020 after I found it to be so healing for me. But, once he began resisting, I realized I needed to find a compromise we could both live with. At least I can live vicariously through you a little bit. 😅 I love that you are a beach girl like me. I live in Hermosa Beach and have been a SoCal girl my whole life. It is a blessing to live in a beautiful place for sure. As always, thank you for sharing a bit of your lifestyle with us. ❤
Let me tell you about my bed situation and you will not think anything you do is weird 😂 Also if I can find the time to do all this every day then anyone can find time to make their bed. A few years ago I was overthinking about how standard beds have chemicals in them and they collect dead skin and sweat and there’s not a good way to clean them so I got a Japanese Shiki Butan futon with tatami mats. It’s made from organic cotton and the tatami mats from coconut. When I get out of bed I move the mattress to the side and use my futon dryer to air it out for 30 mins in winter and on sunny days that are not humid I take the mattress outside on a drying frame to let the UV light kill any dust and bacteria. It’s a lot but I enjoy the ritual of it and it helped me stick to my daily habit of doing yoga on the mats as soon as I wake up. I love that I can fold it up against the wall in a couch like shape and have empty space on my floor until I’m ready for bed.
hello. I loved this video. I like to eat in silence but it is usually not possible due to my large family. I love your content and find you inspiring, keep going lovely.
Thank you so much for these kind words. Connecting with a large family over a meal is a beautiful thing too- perhaps you can find small peaceful moments of silence at other points in the day :)

That's interesting that you mentioned that you are a fan of the dune series. The first dune book I read was the butlerian jihad. I would like to continue reading the series but I don't know which one is the next one in the sequence.
Yeah it is crazy how forward thinking Frank Herbert was!! I agree I’m not on team AI at all. Nature is my highest authority and anything that pushes man’s “intelligence” as outsmarting nature I’m not on board with. So the butlarian jihad was actually written by Frank Herbert’s son after he passed- he and Kevin Anderson wrote almost 20 books based on Frank’s works/books. Some origin stories, some post. I personally just read Frank Herbert’s works, with “Dune” being the first. There are 6 total, he passed away while writing the final one. I recommend starting with Dune. #nerdalert 🤓🤓🤓
Thanks for the information. I didn't know about his son taking over. Thanks for the suggestion. Yeah, I'm not so sure we should try to outsmart nature, she always has a way of striking back and showing us just how arrogant we are. We depend on it every day for our very survival.
One thing that I know you do but it wasn't on the list is not keeping up with the news. I used to diligently keep track of the news but all it created in me was stress and anxiety so I quit looking at the news and I'm a lot more calm and if there's a major issue that I need to know about my son or somebody else will tell me about it.
I was wondering if you keep a monthly budget or are your wants so small that you spend very little except for your needs so you are never in danger of overspending in a category? Maybe a video on how yoy budget.
I actually don’t budget at all. I only spend on essentials, so there is no use budgeting because it’s stuff I need regardless. I have a lot in savings and don’t live paycheck to paycheck, so I do not worry about overspending.
That is so smart and so simple. Most of the RUclipsrs that explain their budgeting systems have really complicated systems and they have a lot of categories that they spend money in. And I've often thought that if I only had one or two bills that I spent money on that I wouldn't need to budget at all because I wouldn't be spending money on anything I didn't need. I'm getting close to this and I just use a piece of paper every month and write down all my auto pay bills and then the extra I have left over I put in a miscellaneous category or in the Bank. As far as making my bed every day I learned this from my Buddhist monk mentor because they teach that your outer world reflects your inner world.
Alicia, you are unique among the minimalists that I have seen on you tube. Most of them don't have an underlying philosophy of Life about living simply. They usually are about what do I have to give up and how do I mitigate the fallout from giving up that thing. You take pleasure in living lightly on the earth. I admire you for that.
Never. I don’t like takeout food because it’s a waste of packaging, and I think getting food delivered is a total waste of money. So if I want to enjoy prepared food I will go enjoy a meal at a restaurant. There is one place I go to for Vegan burgers that is take out only, but all of their packaging is 100% compostable. But as far as getting food delivered that is a never.
That’s a common belief that CC companies push because they want you to use their product ;) In my 25 years of rolling with just a debit card, I have had fraud just 3 times, and each time my bank handled it immediately and replaced all of my funds immediately. They also have a feature that suspends my card when suspicious activity happens (say a large purchase out of state) and text me in the moment so I can verify if that purchase was mine or not. Also I check my bank balance daily so it’s very easy to track all of my purchases. So all in all, just as safe, and NOT screwed 😉
You are not a weirdo, you are so disciplined, I enjoy your minimalist content :)
Thank you!
You are a real minimalist, you have your feet firmly planted on the ground. Thanks

So if I want to enjoy prepared food I will go enjoy a meal at a restaurant. There is one place I go to for Vegan burgers that is take out only, but all of their packaging is 100% compostable. But as far as getting food delivered that is a never.

How about sitting down when doing this.

There is more safety in using a credit card. If you were to lose it or someone got the number with a debit card youre screwed
