But the video you do have proves that the cop wasn't dragged and that Scottie was proceeding very slowly - which rules out assault and reckless driving, the most serious charges.
My question would be why is this guy Gillis still a Police Officer with all of the infractions and disciplinary actions that he has had levied upon him? If a body-cam video was deleted, that can be determined forensically by an expert. But most suspects can’t afford to fight that fight. I hope the PD realizes that Scottie and his attorney have the means to finance the expense of such an investigation. This is something most individuals do not have. If charges are filed, you can bet that every camera and recording device will be subpoenaed by Scottie’s attorney and they will find out if something was deleted.

Think the 16 year cop is in need of a stern reprimand and retraining.
No conviction is not the solution. Scottie should sue Louisville, obviously. Imagine what the Louisville police and their coconspirators, the lawyers and judges, do to folks when no one is watching.
One word for the mayor, shyster.
The officer obviously lied. Others covered for him at the time and continue to do so. This shows Louisville has made little to no progress in the last 5 years.
Anyone notice the absurd vanity of the police chief bearing 5 star rank insignia ? LUDICROUS !!!
There have been less than 10 5 star generals and admirals combined in our Nation's history.
Madame, your ego is NOT your amigo ! 🤡
Fight us in Louisville. PGA is scared to come back!
I see an out of control LMPD Officer who lied about the incident as well as other fellow officers who lied as well.
Detective Dufus kept Scotty from committing any more serious crimes that day.
what a FRIGGIN BLUNDER!!!! hahahahahaha. Louisville literally trying to turn every single last "police supporter" AGAINST THE COPS. this cop saying Dont you see my yellow outfit?? RESPECT MY AUTHORITY!!! fire this cop. period. scottie deserves an APOLOGY. PERIOD. Scottie should sue the cops- PERIOD.
What an embarrassment this mayor and police chief are and the “detective” is a previously suspended liar. What utter bulls-t!
How are you reviewing a case with no body cam. LOL.
No body camera and now the mayor is weighing in.
Welcome to Podunk trashville.
I'd never set food in Kentucky if I preferred my freedom.
Actually, that video did kinda dispute the cops story.
He didn't run from behind the car, which is where he would have been had he fallen off it.
He ran from the left. This cop needs to sit in an orange jumpsuit.
He also appears to have made a violent assault on the car going 2 mph...
I thought the scene was significantly more chaotic, but that did not seem to be the case at all.
This cops story is rotten.
Double down on stupidity! What a joke.
Scottie must sue The real reason why case was dismissed not only this rogue officer created the circumstances but his extensive misconduct as an officer was gonna come out in court they had no choice
A joke! Plain and simple.
A lying cop. Im stunned
Dozens of cops, and cop cars with dashcams, but not a single camera was on? Yeah this is sounding so BS
It's not unclear. The cop lied. That's it, he lied, he made up a big story and all the other cops went along with it. The whole department needs to be fired. All those cops saw what happened and LIED. A man is facing felonies for nothing and this prosecutor hasn't dropped the BS charges. It is disgusting and everyone should wonder how many people are in prison because a cop LIED for no reason.
“Still reviewing the case case”, is code for how can we save our butts?
WELL WELL WELL.... They better stop covering for this detective! CORRUPT!
Not everyone can impersoate a competent golf instructor, not everyone can be a stand up police officer, but, in both cases, even the bad apples don't ruin the bunch. I do feel for Scott S. I went through something similar once with a rookie cop with a Napoleon syndrome. The veteran officer that showed up was my saving grace, although the situation was stressful. Scott S. is something serious sportsfans
Fanboy Barney Fife is a corrupt cop. The sooner they dismiss all charges, the better.
Dragged??? Injuries???
Lies lies lies.
Hmmm who's side to take, guy who has never had a run in with the law his entire life charged with a FELONY assault on a police officer, or a police officer with multiple suspensions and disciplinary actions.
Alot of bus companies have cameras on board
Scottie has a strong civil case against this pd. And if they drop the charges then that gives Scottie an even bigger case
Chief needs to fix those eyebrows.
KY should stick to making whiskey, not bogus arrests.
I'm not buying the cop's story.
the cop has a longer rap sheet than most criminals!!! He's DEF in the wrong line of work!!!
I just watched another Louisville news channel who was reporting about numerous suspensions (not just one) by the officer that arrested Scheffler. The video also had the comments turned off.
Cops can't be belligerent to number 1 golfers but cops can be belligerent to anyone else!
