Typical Narcissist mentality amongst those who pocket money at the expense of millions. They'll usually never change but the average human can change & make our way to survive despite the horrific damage they bring. We have to remember that working as a collective helping each other from the bottom up is the only way we'll survive on this planet. I don't care how much tech you have behind you, it will never replace those living with hearts that care for us as a humanity & live a life of love that proves it to the core.
If the sector is unprofitable, there is no need to invest in decarbonization, because investors will abandon it in favour of other energy sources. If the sector remains a place investors can exploit externalities and claw public money into private coffers, of course the sector will continue to grow despite that it is actually killing us. He's just telling us to price it in to his product so that the market can fix the problem by ruining his company.
