FFVI had the best intro in the history of all games, bar none. When you see those magitek bots walking in a 3D landscape with particle physics, and to think this was done on hardware that wasn't supposed to produce these kinds of things, you understand how great the SNES era was and how sad people like me still are to see that it's gone, even after 20 years.

The other day, I randomly just started humming that melody out of nowhere. I haven't played this game in two decades, and I didn't recognize what the melody was from. I scoured the internet trying to find what this melody was. I never did figure it out and went to bed with an earworm. Fast forward to today, a friend of mine is talking about how the music from FF16 slaps hard, and I commented that the music from every game is fantastic, especially FF6. I came and googled this, saw your comment, clicked that exact time stamp, and boom, there that melody is again. I would never have figured it out.
sorry but nowhere near as good as the original soundtrack . I played this game back when it came out on super Nintendo and this is not the original soundtrack
We wanted to see this amazing story and setting in a realistic and actually immersive rendition and instead we got to have a remaster everyone seems to be so thrilled about. Don't get me wrong, I love the original and it's kinda cute we are having an update. But this obviously means a remake is not even remotely on their plans. And it hurts.
You know, thiking of it, most Final Fantasy games could be excellent movie-adaptations if they are rewritten correclty like Lord of the Rings or Harry potter. Dear Hollywood who is missing ideas...
There is currently a blight of "franchises" watering down everything, not really sure how Final Fantasy would help. Too many people with too many ideas that aren't even coherent, it's impossible to make this into a movie. Maybe a Netflix series? But two hours is not enough, and nobody wants to watch another thousand movies full of cliffhangers and plots that make it so nobody has to see the beginning for anything continuity.

this was such an amazing opening theme song. FFVI still has got to be one of my favorite final fantasy other then VII =) Nobuo Uematsu is just an amazing composer. FF just isn't the same without him.
All hail the greatest game in history I'm 27 now and I come back to these sound tracks from the game for the best nostalgia ever the music when you get to the empire really sets the mood for or when travelling in the air ship searching for your friends. Good thing they remastered on mobile still same old graphics better sounds though
+Drow87 FFIV had a better story with more depth. For example some characters died while others betrayed the team. FFVI sacrificed this for customizable teams.

This is just Life. Heaven & Hell. Shadow & Light. Balance. Reminds me of Ursula K. Le Guin: "Only in silence the word; only in dark the light". This tone is Hope, Espoire, Esperanza. This tone is just Huge. Can make you cry.
I loved this game as a kid. I wish they would remake it. I had the book so I got every possible character and item . I turned the cursed shield into the paladin shield. I got the Illumina sword and if you choose the ragnarok esper over the sword you can steal it off the final boss Kefka and equip it during battle.
Ok yeah I'm being super nitpicky, but methinks it's just a /tad/ too fast :S I did like the reservation of the original, although...now that I'm listening to it...I kinda like the faster tempo once the piece develops 0_o. Don't worry sschafi, you have to realize that you're dealing with people's nostalgia here xD hahaha so we're be annoying in pointing out the little things - otherwise, VERY solid work, and I really enjoyed all your FF VI re-masters :D bravo!
Huh-what? I went there expecting to find something to nitpick, but it's a flawless transition. (I also really like how he doesn't speed up the melody in Terra's Theme, which I keep hearing people do in other remasters).

Best FFVI Experience: FFVI Brave New World 2.0' (a professionally made gameplay overhaul that makes the base game obsolete) with professional voice acting and this soundtrack.

A PROPER remake of this game would be awesome, but I'd like to see this game get made into a trilogy of HD-3D animated movies. Part 1 could give us some of everyone's backstories and the events of the game leading up to the party's split after the first fight with Ultros, Part 2 could have the rest of the World of Balance, and Part 3 would be the World of Ruin. Agreed?
Chris Scharaswak I don't think you realize exactly how much you'd have to condense everything to fit into that. The first movie, that could potentially work. The second movie? Oh god, the amount of content that would have to be rewritten, condensed, or simply cut altogether would be horrendous. What do you even cut? Terra's backstory? That's to important. The section where they go to the Imperial continent? Nuh-uh. The only thing I could see being cut is the Opera House segment, and they would have hell to pay if they cut any of that out. Now on the other hand, an HBO series...
This is not remastered, this is rearranged, AKA "soundfont-slapping". The uploader should have used the original synths instead, like the E-MU Proteus/2 Orchestral and the Roland Sound Canvas SC-88. [EDIT: Those synths weren't originally used in this track specifically, but it's still technically not a remaster]

I always love the beautiful part in the middle, but its the beginning part with that horrifying organ that always gets me the most hype.
