4:44 and there it goes the expansion tank return inlet. Just plastic with a brass tube insert which requires caution. Either remove the tubing from it or reroute the tube behind the airbox. Holds true even for an air filter change and prevents spending upwards of 70€ on a new reservoir (if unnecessary). Good job on the walkthrough on how to remove and recondition the supercharger. It gave a glimpse on how to change its clutch and the bearings which can fail. It seems there's no drain port for the M62. Everything is done from the same filler/drain hole.
Great video! Oil amount can definitely differ. It depends on the orientation of the blower. Minimum is enough so one gear's teeth can dip into the oil and lubricate the the other. If the oil level is high enough to reach any bearing seals and soak it, that is too much. So the level may differ if the supercharger is mounted vertically (one gear get all the oil), horizontally (both gears get a little oil), or a custom angle.
Nice video! Never had this engine 111, but heard they are one of the best of all time from Mercedes and together with suprcharger they can last milion kilometers.. Btw they can be tuned well :)
Those engines can withstand a lot of boost and abuse mine 2.3l m111.982 has two upgrade pullies and my engines is probably at 0,7-0.9 bar boost pushing around 220hp and 350nm of torque

I feel some axial play/looseness (center of clutch is able to move up and down/left and righy) in the bearing of the shaft in the middle of the clutch. No oil leak...I wonder how much play is normal? In any case, your video gives me confidence I can get out the supercharger to do service!
first of all I'm glad that my video is useful to you and what I can say about your problem is that if the noise is big more than sure the bearings are destroyed, if you want to do it, do the service as soon as possible, they are found bearings kits for sale, if the snails are rubbed a lot of each other and the wear is high it is not worth repairing it, compressors are available at good price in complete condition , you just replace them completely, the pulley is not allowed to move but consider that the pulley has its own bearing it is possible to take only the pulley bearing and so in this case the repair is cheap!

Check and see if your supercharger clutch is constantly engaged, even at idle. If so you may have a bad/frozen clutch or the ecu is sending a constant signal. Also your aircheck valve may be going out (p0401).
@@ageofjesus8796 in my video I just changed the oil and greased the rear bearings, the rollers, I was worried that the rollers are mounted without Vaseline but they still had, in your case check the clutch with voltage directly in the clutch socket, and see if it works, if it operates normally on 12V normal power supply, then there is the electronic problem in the ECU mofset

Dopo aver smontato il tutto, ho visto che il kompressore (le turbine all'interno), i tubi dell'aria che esce e che entra sono coperti da uno strato sottile e omogeneo di olio all'interno. È normale? Faccio questa domanda perchè nel tuo video non ho notato olio nelle turbine e nei tubi (forse ho visto male). Ho pulito le turbine, devo pulire anche i tubi che mandano e ricevono (inviano al motore) l'aria compressa? Salutare, dețin un w208 cu kompressorul m62 după ce am anulat ambreiajul kompressorului prin 3 șurubele care țin ambreiajul fix de fulie la vreo 200 de km s-a blocat kompressorul in mers.Menționez faptul ca fulia de la kompressor este cu diametru redus la strungar iar când am montat fulia înapoi acel șurub din mijloc l-am strâns tare.Care ar putea fi cauza?
Mai mult ca sigur rulmentii sau rolele din spatele “melcilor” , angrenajul e din metal plin si sunt asemanatoare cu cele din cutia deviteze … , nu raman decat rulmentii parerea mea .

Dear all, I need some good feedback. My supercharger is not having any problem. Just wanted to do PM as it has 120,000 miles on it. My mechanic's proposal is sucking out old oil in the supercharger via hole for the side plug. It will be using a large syringe & plastic tube. Then pump in new oil until it spills out the same hole. I reckon only 10% of old oil will be remaining inside. Is this way feasible? Thanks in advance.

did you put the car on the tester? if your consumption is so high, I recommend the cheapest starting procedure, checking the compression on each cylinder, you may have a misaligned distribution or burnt valves

First, if I clean the supercharger completely and no original grease is left.
Second, if I don't clean it thoroughly and some of the original grease remains and mixes with the new grease.

@@Farhad_ZKD don't clean the original one if it's still a good and soft color, use some vaseline for compressors, the bearing one is also good but it won't last long, maybe a quality Lica... LICA GREASE

Hi master and everybody. İ have problem with my car. W202 c230 compressor. But compressor have not. Fuel consumption 16L for 100km. İ don't know what can i do for my car. Please help me
did you put the car on the tester?
if your consumption is so high, I recommend the cheapest starting procedure, checking the compression on each cylinder, you may have a misaligned distribution or burnt valves
