I used to always use motul, the dot4 Prestone stuff you used works just as well Imo and it's way cheaper. I wouldn't bother switching but that's me. I like to flush/bleed before each track event so it's not in there long anyway. 👍
hey brother i noticed there's 2 bleeder pins on those willwood calipers, i was wondering if you bleed them both for each 2 pistons or is there an order for them both?
I have important question, I'm thinking about upgrading calipers in my ej6 for those ones and did you change pump? My is 15/16. What pump do you have for those??
I think he’s not running bigger wheels because the ones he has only uses four wheel lug nuts, meaning it must be a wheel size 15 or less, I’m sure. But notice that he IS running wheel spacers. Not a fan of those myself.
You know these calipers have stopping power and so generate a lot of heat the transfers from the rotor to the hub bearings . Why only stop half way. Get the bigger 2 piece rotors.
Hi have a honda civic ek3 japan import and i wish to buy these brakes but my oem disk size is 242mm what was your stock size disk brakes please os i can see if they fit my ek thanks
You have to swap the 262mm axles in, before you can put these Wilwoods on. LATOMMYLA had 262 stock, so he just needed the Wilwood calipers. You need 262mm axles AND the Wilwood calipers.
Love the videos man. I was thinking of making how to videos but in Sign Language. When you do time lapse do you just fast forward the video or actual picture for picture?
+LATOMMYLA did you just straight up swapped the springs? I hear some people say they have to do something with the shock before putting a different spring rate.
Oh ok. Do you think a 42+ offset rim will clear the brakes? My current wheels are 42+ and I was looking to do a brake upgrade, saw this and notice for the price its a good upgrade. let me know what you think.
alright now for an eg civic hatchback or for an ek coupe civic.. which calipers are better... the Spoon 4pot front calipers or the Wilwood 4pot piston front calipers... which one perform better as far as performance quality.. . I believe Spoon calipers are worth a lot more than wilwood like another $400-500 dollars on top than wilwood price rance $650-$800..front 4pot calipers.
Are wilwoods safe? I hear they are cheap, but how reliable are they? It is a brake system, fundamentally crucial to your safety. Whats the lowdown on them?
I see that you still have the stock crank pulley? Since you race your car did you ever thought about light pulley? Along with light fly perhaps? Nice build btw man.. i got a bbk for my rsx from willwood as well, came with I think ss lines and 2pc rotors which were 4lbs ligher than stock
"They look pretty fkin gangsta" lmaoooooo, love your videos
Haha, thank you!
Damn that's next on my list
Worth it.
What Break Pads Do You Use And Do You Have A part Number And Where To Buy The Pads From?
Can you link where you got it from?
Hi mate were do you buy the brackets from any help would be appreciated 👍
Search up scare bird bracket on google!
What kind of rotors are those where can I buy some how much were they
I imagine you have to use the spacers?
Hey Tommy, I know this is a old video but does the 282mm mini cooper rotors work with this caliper setup? any reply is appreciated.
Hi tommy. Do i still need to have spacer to make this fit?
is this caliper can clear a rota grid 15x6.5 Et38 thanks if you reply
These were dx or ex spindles ?
I used to always use motul, the dot4 Prestone stuff you used works just as well Imo and it's way cheaper. I wouldn't bother switching but that's me. I like to flush/bleed before each track event so it's not in there long anyway. 👍
Thanks for the opinion brotha! And yeah I bleed my brakes before any event 👌
What knuckle do you have on the car
Deff looks gangsta
Will a 16 x 7 + 35 wheel clear these calipers?
Were did you order them from
what kind of fitting is that to the flexline
you should invest in some highend coilovers now when you have good brakes
No need for new coils right now! These still do the job on the track
hey brother i noticed there's 2 bleeder pins on those willwood calipers, i was wondering if you bleed them both for each 2 pistons or is there an order for them both?
Bleed the top 2, first the outside one, then the inner
Yoo Tommy, just got some wilwood calipers and looking to get some spacers. You think 20mm spacer will clear these calipers?
how long does that compound on the brake pad last for a daily
Will these only work with ex spindles?
Do you happen to remember the rim ET? am wondering if i need to use spacer with my JR3 7inc wide ET40?
Nice. Ty. Thinking of buying them. Seen as many videos as I can ^_^
Q. You have upgraded rotors. Did you upgrade the size as well ? The rotor size.
if you dont have those spacers they still fit?
Hi Tommy. I wondering do i need to cut and modified anything for 97 integra with 6 piston widwood big brake kits. Front and rear?
I have important question, I'm thinking about upgrading calipers in my ej6 for those ones and did you change pump? My is 15/16. What pump do you have for those??
fyi. carbotech makes pads for wildwood calipers. very good pads. better than the wildwood pads. imo.
Thanks for the tip!
Which part number are they for a integra on carbotech I have wilwood too I’m looking for pads
do you need bigger wheels for the 4 piston ones? or only for the 6 piston ones?
I think he’s not running bigger wheels because the ones he has only uses four wheel lug nuts, meaning it must be a wheel size 15 or less, I’m sure. But notice that he IS running wheel spacers. Not a fan of those myself.
You know these calipers have stopping power and so generate a lot of heat the transfers from the rotor to the hub bearings . Why only stop half way. Get the bigger 2 piece rotors.
this is 13' rim, right ?
And here comes the noob's question... those can only be used on stock sized rotors only or can be fitter with a 280/282mm one as well?
+nkolasfrs my caliper is designed for only 10 inch rotors, which is stock EX. If you want to run bigger rotors they offer calipers for that sizing
Hi have a honda civic ek3 japan import and i wish to buy these brakes but my oem disk size is 242mm what was your stock size disk brakes please os i can see if they fit my ek thanks
My car comes stock with 261.5mm Rotors.
You have to swap the 262mm axles in, before you can put these Wilwoods on. LATOMMYLA had 262 stock, so he just needed the Wilwood calipers. You need 262mm axles AND the Wilwood calipers.
Maxxis1992 thanks I bout the model to fit my axels thanks for the tip :)
Anyone know if these work for the rear too?
Love the videos man. I was thinking of making how to videos but in Sign Language. When you do time lapse do you just fast forward the video or actual picture for picture?
+DehTastic thank you, I am fast forwarding the clip
+LATOMMYLA awesome thanks man, side note love the car. Got a 97 ej myself.
+DehTastic thank you and nice man!!
Whats the spacer specs? Love the videos!
AsianSamSam He clearly says the size of them it in the video...
Do u think stock oem Honda wheels will clear it
They won't, only 15 inch oem wheels will not the 14's
Can We use 282mm rotors with this calipers?
Yes, that is the size rotor that I am using with this setup
Thanks man!
@@LATOMMYLA Can we use ssr 17*7.5j et50 with this calipers?
do you have the part number by any chance ? or a link
TrackLifestyle Google: civic wilwood caliper... you're welcome
hay
can you tell me what link you bought the calipers from? because i'm in Australia it very hard for me to get one.
bovi samreth do you guys have they internet down there???
Can you read English?
kinda off topic with the video but did you change your springs on the coilovers? if so what spring rate are you running?
They are 16kgs, wouldn't recommend them. Only had these since I used this on my old sedan when it was slammed.
+LATOMMYLA did you just straight up swapped the springs? I hear some people say they have to do something with the shock before putting a different spring rate.
+LATOMMYLA what should I know before changing the springs
How much did they cost you for both
Jdm Garage around 600
What is the size of the rotors? Same stock?
Same as stock EX/SI
what's the website to order those
+will n I ordered them off amazon
How much was the kit for
Roughly $400
Did you buy them from the website ?
Yes
LATOMMYLA how do you know which ones to get? I have a 99 civic sedan stock atm
Whats the song playin at 4:07?
Priority One & TwoThirds - Hunted
Where you buy the calipers from
+SI RICKO Amazon
LATOMMYLA thanks bro
The more i watch your videos the more its difficult for me to decide if i should get a civic or an s13 for my first car
Haha thanks man, and that decision is all up to you!
What kind of 4 piston is that? He told me there's a lot
What's better spoon or willwood?
Spoon you get to use OEM style brake pads, Wilwoods you have to stick to wilwood only pads
LATOMMYLA thanks I love how the spoon looks
jdm all day
LATOMMYLA but which one are better? And what is diffrence in price between them?
Hey man where is the review on the brakes? You said you would have done it after vtec club events.
Sorry, been so busy with other videos!
Oh ok. Do you think a 42+ offset rim will clear the brakes? My current wheels are 42+ and I was looking to do a brake upgrade, saw this and notice for the price its a good upgrade. let me know what you think.
What size rotor is that 9.5 or 10.3?
alright now for an eg civic hatchback or for an ek coupe civic.. which calipers are better... the Spoon 4pot front calipers or the Wilwood 4pot piston front calipers... which one perform better as far as performance quality.. . I believe Spoon calipers are worth a lot more than wilwood like another $400-500 dollars on top than wilwood price rance $650-$800..front 4pot calipers.
+Da Wolf i honestly only know that the spoon calipers allow you to use oem brake pads, and wilwoods you have to use specfic wilwood pads
Are wilwoods safe? I hear they are cheap, but how reliable are they? It is a brake system, fundamentally crucial to your safety. Whats the lowdown on them?
It's safe, a bunch of my friends are running them. It's safe if you install it and bleed your brakes properly.
Havent thought about that, I know a flywheel will make a huge difference. And thank you!
Your spacers/adapters aren't hubcentric...
wait ing on mine :D

Hay bro sorry to ask but what was the parts number for this break pads dm me on ig Samroui1
why bother put crap brake fluid in a track car? You will boil it and your brakes will fail
