- The GEL-NIMBUS® 24 shoe offers advanced impact protection for your distance training. Creating a softer landing in every step, this shoe is also approx. 20g lighter than the previous version. The upper’s soft engineered mesh and flexible midfoot panel make these shoes more comfortable during long runs. By moving seamlessly with your foot, they help your stride feel smoother in every step. There is even distribution from the front of the foot.
Considered Injuries
Less likely due to effective shock absorption, but neutral runners are not immune to injury.
How your foot contacts the ground
The foot lands on outside of the heel, then rolls inward (pronates) to absorb shock and support body weight.

My first experience with Asics was Nimbus 20, I hate it how clunky it was, but then after awhile Nimbus 22 came out I can't believe I bought it. And now I'm in Nimbus 24. It just keeps getting better and better over the years. The reason I keep continuing with nimbus as my daily trainer despite the clunkiness when I started using it was because my feet feels fresh after long run with Nimbusm. I even took it to several ultra distance. Glideride was heavier n stiffer but nimbus is so natural. Despite lower stack height. It does the job protecting the impact and absorb it with gel technology. I hope ASICS continue the gel by making it lighter over the years
Nice review thanks
Thanks James, comments like this are always appreciated!
I am looking for the best model shoe with the best cushioning for standing and walking all day. Would you choose asics nimbus 24 or nike zoomX invincible run flyknit 2?
Hoka bondi 8 or Hoka Clifton 8..
I have these and the ride 14. I prefer these. I especially like the thinner tongue
That new tongue is real nice! glad you're enjoying them 👍
I remember the Ride 14 to be much firmer, thus more versatile. These are more comfortable though. How was your experience in these two shoes?
@@andrew-ng I've been experiencing some pain in my Achilles from the ride 14. I think I'm going to stick with the nimbus 24. The nimbus is more comfortable for sure.
I bought the 24 and actually hate it!! Feel like I’m running with big marshmallows on my feet! They actually make me pronate when normally I run very neutral. It’s a big change from the 23 and not one that suits me personally.
Ahhhh Anna that's savage new and really weird they have changed your running gait. All good running shops should be able to swap them out for a pair more suitable for you! Hope you find what you're looking for and always love real honest feedback!
That $160 price tag... ugh... fine...
Hey, I can't speak your language. Do you recommend gymnastics and weightlifting, or just jogging?
Just running and walking for these 👍
