  • I'm no A.i. artist but, even if we account for all of the photoshop editing and adjustments that come with the craft... I'd wager that losing something you were able to generate with a prompt will not have the same feeling as losing something you had to create brush by brush. It is very much, right now at the very least- a type of medium where you create in sweeping broad statements rather than from the ground up.
    These are my thoughts.

      I have to say you do have monotonic voice. But at the same time it feels natural.

    Ai art uses stolen art and data from real artists this has been proven beyond any reasonable doubt

    Nice topic😉
    (And also comic recommended , I probably read it later)
    But yeah , A.I is hard subject to talk about nowadays . For me at least , A.I is a useful as TOOl to help people(in a good a way of course) . For example , game developer or animator use A.I to help them with minor stuff while they still working on main ones(especially on crunch time).
    Unfortunately , big companys(or in this case , some higher-ups who actually doesn't do anything) doesn't have any second thoughts about it and just see A.I as a Cheap thing to make stuff easy and faster while given them chance to replaced people who works below company (a.k.a the people who ACTUALLY making stuff for the company)to cut costs or as my friend put it , because of greed itself .

    It's called artificial intelligence but its more like copying off of some one else's test and passing the class as a result.

    there is a very, very, distinct difference between TAS and AI art, TAS is made by human, there is a group of humans programming each precise input for each frame, then replayed by a bot, but it is made by human, not AI, is the same metaphor as playing an mp3, a human made that song (most of the time) but is played by a computer
    watch the celeste TAS at GDQ 2018 they explain how they did all that crazy stuff, and it is not made by an AI

    I would rather not using ai, instead just using ibisPaintX or one of my unused sketchbooks to draw.
    Great video btw

    near around 3/4 through the video he talks about generating a sequel to your favorite game but the screen shows oneshot. does that mean oneshot is his favorite game? (I don't disagree its a great game)

    I personally don't have much issue with it being possible to generate art quickly, I care more about letting people have the right to not have their work trained on by AI, and making it opt-out rather than opt-in. Especially protection against companies using your work to replace you is important.
    That said, I've seen people express frustration, or loss of motivation towards practicing art due to AI art. I hope this video reaches them. I completely agree that having something handmade generally will carry higher sentimental value than something generated by AI, even if somebody spent time "fixing" it after generating.

    • @drbuni
      @drbuni 8 месяцев назад

      Sadly, most people don't care if a person or an AI made the piece of work (Reiterating that AI "art" is not art, it is just pictures). There is also no way to identify what was made by an AI and what wasn't, but since technology has evolved to this point, I hope someone hates AI so much that they create some way to detect AI content in media, so I can avoid all of it.

    • @ITR
      @ITR 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@drbuni I disagree, I see lots of ai art barely get any engagement. The only exception is AI voices where less people care.
      And "good looking" ai art is usually limited to certain styles or subjects, so heavily stylized and "2D" art is still easy to spot ifyou know what to look for. That said, it could just be a question of time before it gets better at it, but it's also possible to reach a point where there's not enough training data

    I am not worried at all because I make art for myself. Not in order to have a good looking picture to show to others, but because I enjoy the process and love expressing myself in the unique way only I can deliver!

    I have very strong feelings about this subject, and as such, I don't feel comfortable even reading any potential responses to this comment. I know I am fighting a lost battle, AI is here to stay, people will use it on their games and I hate it. I hate that I didn't have the means to make my game way before this god awful era of AI content started. I just hope someone comes with tools to identify AI-generated content in media, otherwise I will pretty much not consume any media created after 2020.
    My feelings as an artist and game dev (working on FAE POPULI, not announced, but you can find stuff on the web about it, but that is beside the point) it is that AI generated content is the death of creativity. It is not comparable to brushes on Photoshop, or photographic cameras or anything like that.
    AI removes the most important aspect of art - the human side. The inspirations, their unique craft built from years of practice on their respective fields, the imperfections and the perfections. I will not call AI generated pictures as art, because they aren't art. They are pictures, sure. But not art. Whatever ChatGPT generates is not writing either. It is text, but not writing, it is not art.
    AI content is cheap, tasteless, awful. It doesn't interest me. It frustrates me that it even exists. But it does, and it will not disappear. I will not accept it, but life and other people don't need me to accept anything, thankfully (how awful would it be if one person could dictate what others can do?).
    If I click on a video, and the voice is noticeably an AI, I close it. Maybe it is a mute person who wanted to make a video, I get that, but it is likely not the case. I see artwork on some sub-reddits I used to like, I can't know what was created by a person and what was generated by AI software and re-touched later. I hate it.
    I will keep making my game. I love improving my art skills to make it look even prettier. I love building my characters from my imagination and inspirations. I love writing and giving the world I created life. Thankfully, there are thousands of games, books, anime, etc that were created before AI technology was invented, so I have a lot to enjoy still.
    Honestly, I am surprised this video showed up for me. I just watched your video on Space Funeral and was going to look for another, and I have BlockTube set to block dozens of AI-related terms, and this still showed up. Frustrating, but at least I got to vent for a bit.

      I Felt the same way too, as someone who also wants to be a Game Developer and an Animator I Felt Strong Feelings about this, and I'm worried about the Future of Content Creation and Art for the Future, i know AI is here to stay. Its not like NFT's where they're going to be a Dying fad, but I don't want AI to Replace Human work or even Be the Final Product of so may Creations, i rather have it as a Tool that help Artist and Animators for ideas and such.
      It feels to me like the world is becoming more Lazy and Demands everything handed down to them on a Gold Platter, I'm still going to Continue My Dreams of making the things I'm working to make, but I'm Concerned on how this will affect that Dream, especially when it does things that Violates some Laws (Copyright As one of them)

    I know that it will be hard to get fully rid of ai, and I know that from now on ai-generated images and human-made art will have to coexist, but the one thing that I do want to see happen is for every AI image to have a watermark of sorts that labels it as such
    It'd be like advertising in social media and RUclipsrs having to declare that the video is sponsored by a certain product or brand. It's going to happen but it needs to be made clear to the viewer that it is not made by human hands

    i'm not worried about ai art cause of its art abilities, i'm more scared of the concept that those a.i. are stealing from MY art. my hard work. its all personal stuff and not for profit, sure. but it still feels wrong to have the dread that my art could be stolen and used by someone else. morphed into something it truely isn't.
