I absolutely love wearing black in the summer….it is definitely my “go to” color. Black is quite chic and give a very classic and put together look. Most of my wardrobe contains thrifted pieces that have been great finds for creating many amazing looks. Black paired with white, ivory, tan, or other neutrals gives any outfit a touch of sophistication. Black is also great for masking those problem areas most of us struggle with. The most versatile pieces in my wardrobe are a black maxi tube dress which I can style as a midi or mini, as well, and a black slip dress. These pieces can be styled in endless ways, with various outerwear and accessories to provide amazing looks for day and evening for any season.
I love different shades of green and beige. Black is always my go to for clothing. Gold jewelry is a great way to enhance you look but I also think a different hair styles can make your out fit look even better especially an up hair style

I live in the southeastern part of the US and it’s hot, humid, and full of mosquitoes. Having clothes that are fluid-lots of linen and pants that cover my legs from mosquitoes-I’ll out with our dogs a lot is a must!

Also if the item is a natural fabric cotton, linen, viscose, silk you can boost the black colour by re-dying them using a washing machine dylon black dye. I did it recently, shoved all mine and my daughter's t-shirts, jeans trousers etc in there with the dye and they come out looking brand new and it's so easy. Can get the dye from Amazon.

Have the tan sandals got a dodgy stitch on them? I had a similar pair (admittedly much cheaper from M&S) and there was just a tiny ball of cotton that rubbed, snipped it off and they’re now so comfy!
I had to sell my Kin sandals. My black ones destroyed the top of my feet - sounds similar to your tan pair. I do have a high instep and maybe they would have “softened” over time but I didn’t have the desire or patience to take the chance that they wouldn’t. So sad because they were the perfect black minimal sandal 😕
