It's fairly simple the PvE was why this was OW2 and why OW1 had to die on the pyre so it being removed means OW1 was killed for no reason and OW2 has no reason to exist

Im a pve enjoyer but all i ever asked for was more animated shorts. Theres so many heroes whos story needs to be animated
I'd just prefer if they gave their characters actual personalities and also stop treating them as scape goats whenever someone at Blizzard does some fucking shady shit they just throw out one of the OW characters as some kind of sexuality or thing to distract people

I started playing about 3 weeks before Uprisings debut. I remember how pumped all my Day One player friends were and that was the most hype event for overwatch. The PvE was supposed to bring back the same thing we all loved about those events....

also dva can self damage with rockets and i'm pretty sure sigma's primary fire also self damages but i'm not positive on that one
@@endless_del I forgot about sig's primary fire, but dva missiles don't work because they don't do any knockback, the only things that accomplish this are self-damaging knockback abilities
I play DBD and love this story of a multi billion dollar company (not sure if that's right) being outdone by an indie company.
Sad part is, a fraction of bobby´s 155M was enough to hire a competent team to develop PVE

I really hate that mentality that just because one company lies to you, oh it's fine because every company is lying to you. Doesn't that show there's a problem? That you shouldn't just sit back and take it? It's because of people like that, that companies get away with lying to us. And it doesn't just apply to companies, this can apply to so much. It's like climate change, or food waste as some other examples. People are just like, oh no point in me doing anything because everyone does it.
Climate change the issue is we never address the real culprits, the advocates can't keep their fucking stories straight and often behave like fucking children also fucking huge amounts of con artists in the industry but yes corporations will continue to lie so long as they don't get punished if every OW streamer had a spine and said nah fuck this I'm gonna go play something else till they change their mind the community would follow and Blizzard would change their tune right fucking quick
Whether or not you wanted to play PVE, it sets a bad precedent for Blizzard making promises that they can't keep. "Well they said they're going to--" "Make PVE in Overwatch 2? They say a lot of things." That right there is the bottom line for why the failure to deliver is important. Whenever they promise anything, whatever they promise, the players have reason to doubt them, or to expect less than what they do promise when they do deliver. It's dying because people who were looking forward to it were disappointed, so instead of gaining a few players who might just be interested, you lose all the people whose faith is battered. Blizzard won't improve it unless it explodes in popularity, and it never will as long as they' neglect it.
Honestly if streamers all collectively said just fuck off and moved onto other games like example they all decided fuck it we will play paladins until this is changed said streamers also would bring in a large portion of their fans with them you would see Blizzard fucking do a 180 at the speed of light because the thing that these companies thrive on is captive audiences they want their customers to remain in the cave but if suddenly their customers up and leave in massive numbers they will do everything they can to try put them back in the cave

I remember the knockback tip from long time ago! Like when u go off the map just hurt urself WITH something that does any sort of movement (zarya secondary fire or pharah rocket) or jump before falling off the edge and u don't give any credit on the enemy!

Other notes:
- my main friend group on OW often defaults to me on Mercy and my friend on Lucio. I know on paper that combo is garbz, but somehow we make it work well. We're not elite, but I think our play styles have good synergy. So, much like you say any support can work with any tank so play who you want, I believe play style and coordination can beat the Mercy/Lucio numbers issue that is said to be "stupid". I could be completely wrong in every way, but meh, I'm going off of my experience and the enjoyment of the game, which is what you basically said with "play whatever you want".

9:20 personally, i was extremely disappointed bc i have bought skins and had been playing and waiting for PvE . when i heard it wasn’t coming out, i was upset that i had spent any money on the game at all.

wtf did i even invest in. i love cosmetics, and i was excited to look cool with my favorite heros in a PvE game mode. but then to find out PvE wasn’t coming. i realized that i had wasted my money on a game with a palpably short lifespan.

With the Doom-support one, I feel like Lifeweaver is pretty good? I tried him with one of my friends a few times, and he can provide long-rage healing, a platform for engages and pull doom out of danger if he goes in too deep.
If you want to specifically play for Doom and use comms, it sounds like a decent option.
Times when I'm glad to be both a DbD and OW player lmao, at least someone will give me PvE
2:30 with doom, he is basically a different version of ball. As a gm ball main, i prefer a dps moira, zen, hard pocket mercy, or maybe a brig paired with zen to protect him. Those all slap hard with ball, and im sure they would with doom too.

I actually despise ActiBlizzard as a company.
Personally, the moment PVE was canceled, I just stopped playing. I love Overwatch lore and PVE was the only thing I was looking forward to. And lots of players did too. I know it must be like 10% of the player base but still, that was a big hit on blizzard. It will die next year if the next updates are not extraordinary (which for now it looks like it)
Basically same. I have tried to play a few times since but literally all my motivation for the game is gone. I get the people who like pve still play, but pve was legit all that was keeping me on ow, I just hadn't realised it.
I was already lacking incentive since I refuse to download overwatch for pc. No pve was the final nail. Is there even a reason to have a blizzard account at this point?
I was never really looking forward to pve, not because I wasn't interested in playing it, but because I was never expecting blizzard to be able to actually make a good pve. If some other company said they were making an overwatch pve, I would be excited, but my expectations for blizzard doing anything well are so low that I just can't get excited for anything they say is coming up.
I didn't think it was going to be that special, but still, it was something to look forward to. Now it feels like we're back to the content drought but worse because there isn't even an excuse for it. And you can say "but they're still releasing new heroes!" except no, they kinda aren't unless you pay. If I log in day 1 in season 6, what's new? Nothing unless I want to spend or grind first.
Even if you weren't excited for the PvE, them cancelling it is still throwing in the towel on the promise of OW2. Now it is forever OW 0.9.
i stopped being excited for pve somewhere around 2021 when i officially took a break from overwatch (which meant never playing except during events). i realized that that type of game just isn't something i'm interested in anymore-- if i want to fight against ai enemies, i prefer to do it single-player in a game with other attributes like exploration, puzzle solving, etc where i can go my own pace. but i was still going to play the pve because it's overwatch and i like the lore and want for an easier way to engage with it. comics and short stories are great, but i have trouble finding the ones that came out before i knew they existed.
even though i wasn't waiting with bated breath for the pve, it was still a massive disappointment and feeling of betrayal. i'm still enjoying the pvp game (now more than ever tbh and i know i'm in the minority there haha) and cant wait for the new hero, but it truly does suck for those of you who were only here for the story aspects. i'm mostly mad FOR you guys because although i don't share the exact same sentiments and i'm still loving the pvp, i know how you all must have felt then and how you're still feeling now. many lore enthusiasts have been with the game since very early in ow1's life (i personally started playing in 2017) and it's awful knowing years of your life have essentially been wasted hoping and then waiting for something that's not going to happen. i'm sorry.

As a very casual overwatch player, it's fun for 30 mins a day max and only in quick play
Something about the DBD thing. BHVR, despite how big DBD is, is an indie company. They might have licenses from Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, and all of that, but at the end of the day they are indie. Blizzard has the "Too big to fail" mindset, while BHVR has the "Hey, if we fuck up TOO hard, this can actually fuck us". The Blizzard higher ups are there going "If the Overwatch fans dislike this where else can they go? Overwatch is the only Overwatch!" while the BHVR higher ups go "Every horror IP is making a DBD esque game we gotta actually do good".

As a super casual ow2 gamer, I have a blast quite literally playing headass w+m1 with the boys and taking both the w’s and L’s to the chest. There’s something about the sheer dopamine you get when you and the boi’s ( this is a gender-fluid term ) just head empty diving the back line or getting bodied

Ana Sleep wasn't changed... And McCree could literally become Reaper at any time with his flash. Imagine Reaper but he also has a long-range attack. Never cook again.
I like how people think Nintendo is a good company because they pay their CEO less as if they aren’t like the only video game company that are bigger assholes than Activision.
It is absolutely bananas that BHVR is actually pulling themselves together and branching out, while Blizzard is regressing and stagnating. DBD is known for being a mess of bugs and balance issues while the devs don't listen and change things at a snail's pace but it seems as though they're outperforming the OW devs who had what I used to consider the most polished and forward thinking game I owned.
Bhvr still kinda has the balance issues. Made for this is insanely broken, but it mainly stems from a real lack of a data pool. DBD players just suck at the game mostly, thus alot of really good perks get untouched for a while, old object being a good example
@@smhgamersgamers7813 Regardless, they're still in the process of balancing the game because they're going to introduce the anti camping mechanic and nerfing BNPs and Prove Thyself. This is like the one time I'm giving them credit but it's mostly because they're being juxtaposed to a dev team on the decline while they're more or less on the rise.

There may be better solutions, but one I had in mind is for haste effects (at least on survivors) do not stack, and instead the game uses whichever active haste gives the largest bonus.
So Hope + Made for This just uses Hope’s speed boost. And this allows for the devs to future survivor haste perks with less concern for how they’ll interact with other haste perks.

PVE isnt cancelled. The version of PVE the devs had a trailer for is cancelled because it wasnt working out.

Flashbang was like getting Stoned by Sigma, this homing bs magnetic grenade is more like getting hacked by sombra but it also makes u low HP while making u stand still for a moment or just fcking finishes you when the cass has hit just one body hit on you. Anyone playing Cass: you should be ashamed of urself and feel bad for what you're doing to the mental health of other dps and support players, if you just hit smooth headshots, I'm totally fine with it but those stupid "one hit, then ez grenade" plays makes me wanna poke out ur eyes (ingame obv)

I stopped playing overwatch when 2 was "canceled" and im not looking back, PvP is not something I play by myself its with friends or not at all and with the PvE gone just no point for players like me to play

The pve would have brought me back to overwatch. The talent trees and everything they were going to do was dope. And honestly there was no reason to cancel it flat out. Just work on it over a longer period and release it in like 2 years. Just makes no sense

I'm the wierdo that actively dislikes PvP and only plays OW because of the universe and cool characters. The possibility of PvE kept me around since OW1 and I'll still keep playing, but it really hurt by optimism.
Just don't play at this point a lot more games out there you can enjoy if more people just fucking walked away they would have changed their mind on the fucking spot

The guys opinion on the PVE not coming was more accurate them you might think, for people inside the OW2 bubble yes it was a big deal but for people outside it you have either people who didn't even knew and probably still don't know about PVE and you have people who became aware of it when it was "cancelled" and took great offence even though they probably didn't play the game or only did at launch, best example is Asmon who just farms all the drama related to Blizz.

I dont think your vid was very good. If I can criticize it, you really blame shifted everything away from blizzard and onto the fans for being disappointed. As a casual Overwatch player and OW fan almost since the begining, it still can be fun, but rarely in normal modes. Sure, No Limits and Mystery Heroes have its charm and are genuinely fun, but other than that I usually play Custom Games made by other players, like 2D Overwatch (it's a blast, fully recommended), or 1 Dad And 11 Kids. If I had people that I could play with then I'm sure I'd play normal quickplay more often, but unfortunately I don't
