Man Bro, another great stream as always 👏👏 I love how you picked up the Aircraft to add into your fleet from Manufacturing facility. I think that should be done with all the fleets, like in real life. But wish you guys stay safe and bless until next time 🙏🙏🤙
I tried leaving comments twice before but didn't show up - lets try once more. I apologize if you see this 2X later. So - bought this yesterday... problems I have encountered... FMC won't program properly - won't add arrival and departure to route... just couldn't `stitch' the arrival to the rest of the route... same problem you had with airways... auto throttle disengaged on takeoff... throttle totally disengaged once and couldn't re-engage (as I watched plane descend into the trees)... engine start switches don't light up and turn off (as they do in other 747 sims)... constantly got `can't reach altitude' FMC warning despite even changing it to a 5000 ft level (over a long flight)... engine sounds are too light (changing sound levels didn't do anything) and no FMOD... only two reverse thrusters... VNAV stopped working halfway through a flight... and it screwed me on final approach as well and had to land manually...so, yeah, still LOTS of work to do. But if I can't program the FMC correctly, this plane is useless. At least the ALT knob can scroll up more than 100 feet at a time like older models. And the external look is good. I'll give it that. But to pay over $70 Canadian for this? Nope.
The reason why the Plan Fuel changes when you change other performance figures is because the FMC program that SSG uses is calculating what it thinks is a safe amount of fuel for the flight based off of your route and performance settings.
Fuel tank to engine is part of the burn schedule. Means fuel tank 1 powers eng.1. And so forth. The procedure is to shut off tank 2 and 3 fuel jet pumps and cross feeds. We call it taking a shower and going to bed. If you look at the overhead, it’s the pumps that look like they have shower heads over them. It’s part of the fuel logic on the jet.
That climb rate tends to not get so high when you fly it heavy (i.e. on a trans-Pacific flight). I've been flying the v2 in X-plane for about a month now. EDIT: When you see FUEL TANK/ENG you shut down the OVRD (Overdrive?) fuel pumps and turn off the two outside crossfeeds. That leaves one tank pumping into one engine only. I was confused also the first time I saw that.
Thrust release toggle set to the little red pinky button...when you land throttle back to idle, click red button, then throttle up to desired reverse thrust percentage
In the table " SEL/OAT " do not enter any value of temperature if you don't know the reason. You have to enter values which airport technicians know otherwise let the box empty...
Its very important to have that AIRAC updated for the route install. Shouldn't be a problem to add airways like that. I know you know Jeff, im just saying :)
A few things for your info. We push with hydraulics 4 and 1 in AUX. We have 2 and 3 in AUTO. Normally in the -8 we start with packs off. Engine start sequence in 4 and 1 together in that order and then 2 and 3 together. After start the APU is turned off but you leave the valve alone and the isolation valves open. If you isolate it you lose pack 2 because it had no air. I think someone said there are only inboard reversers, that is incorrect. All for engines reverse. Some of the screens don't match the real plane.
Thank you!!! My goodness I'm glad I wasn't the only one who picked this up. It was highly frustrating for me to see the incorrect procedure for start up. I'm sure this vid is for entertainment purposes but man the procedures are so ingrained into me that I can't help but be frustrated.
Hi Jeff, I updated the AIRAC to the latest version before setting off, but found the same issue with the plane coming in too fast on VNAV, not being able to engage Speed hold/disengage VNAV, I had to do the same thing as you - turn off the A/T and manage the speed manually through the approach. Also it didn’t want to pick up the ILS, even tho RAD NAV and courses set as per the plate, so I had to fly the approach completely manually.. Then after touchdown, I found the rollout to be extremely short. I had a fairly light PAX load, so I’ll up the load and try it again, but I’ve seen similar comments elsewhere. So on first try then, it’s clear there’s still plenty of work to be done 😏
Don’t know if air traffic is modeled in xplane, but you’ve had your TCAS off the whole time. Push the button on the knob that changes your range on the navigation display.
Hi jeff looking to buy 747 v2 do u think its worth $69 australian dollars is it better than b 4 i think its to pricey do u think they should reduce the price to at least $30 thanks phil
We use FLCH below 10,000. It’s easier to control the speed. Speed did work in vnav because you never opened the speed window. If you’re in vnav, push the speed button to open the speed window.
✈️😎 Hi Jeff,...Another Interesting Review !!👍✈️ I Like your larger “Avatar” Window Showing The Absolute Concentration on Your Face,... in The SIM,...😊👍👍💜
The 747-8 has electronic checklists!!! Reset checklists resets all normal and abnormal checklists in the ECS. Push the checklist button to the right of the MCP.
Can you use a xbox one controller on xplane 11? I have fsx still and it works good but i wanna upgrade to Xplane 11.. i don't have the money to get a good yoke and stuff.
The 747-8’s airfoil is so efficient, you almost have to use speed breaks on every decent. That’s why the max altitude for the -8 is lower than the 400.
Jeff, on the 747-400 you could keep the packs on as well during engine start procedure. A co-pilot (747-400) once told me that. The packs on the -400 are so powerfull. Not like the on the 737 !
Had to come over to Favignano Live to give myself some guidance on the 747 for my stream on Saturday. Thank you once again Jeff. :)
The engines sound like my MacBook when running chrome. lol
Fantastic video my friend!
One of the best youtuber !! I love y video and the way you explain things and impression of new add-on!

You never armed the approach. Sorry for all the commentary, I’m on lockdown here in Amsterdam. Off to Hong Kong on Thursday.
The queen of the skies
I remember those day when we thought we had o quarantine for "14 days" lol
You should press the speed selector wheel to adjust your speed on approach.

Hey man! Love it! Would you do a TVC to SRQ flight? That might be a longer flight then you want to do but thought id ask. Thanks for the great video!

I think you do a great job flying Jeff Love your videos
Absolutely Sweet!

Enjoyed the flight Jeff.

Great thorough review! Which version would you say is better? SSG´s or Sparky ?

The A380 only has inboard thrust reversers. That's probably what that guy was thinking about.

Would love to see more 787 flights
Hey Jeff! Just asking to confirm, the freighter version will be coming for v2 correct? Thanks!
yes as a free upgrade so we are told
Jeff Favignano awesome! Thanks
Can you show us the flight simulator you have like the yoke the pedals and other things please?
Shout Out from Rochester Minnesota!!

Only engine 1 and 2 worked with the reverse thrust... 3 and 4 stayed idle
Yeah he mentioned that, it's supposed to be that way.

747-8i operators for the pax version: Lufthansa. Korean Air, Air China
✈️😎 Hi Jeff,...Another Interesting Review !!👍✈️ I Like your larger “Avatar” Window Showing The Absolute Concentration on Your Face,... in The SIM,...😊👍👍💜
any available smartcopilot for this aircraft?
amazing beard my sir
Hey Jeff, I got a nice video of a 747-8F taking off from Louisville today, didn't know if you'd be interested in seeing it.
The 747-8 has electronic checklists!!! Reset checklists resets all normal and abnormal checklists in the ECS. Push the checklist button to the right of the MCP.
SLC!!!!!
I liked your youtube channel
What graphical mods are you using? Any special clouds?
Hey Jeff I just got the v2, will the f version be free?
Can you use a xbox one controller on xplane 11? I have fsx still and it works good but i wanna upgrade to Xplane 11.. i don't have the money to get a good yoke and stuff.
@RGaming007 do you know any good videos on RUclips on how to setup a xbox one controller for xp11?
how is it FPS-Wise?
It will lose a lot of FPS but if you’re good on FPS it should be fine
Ahh i got it (CI)...so four slots for the 747-8... Roger that. Didnt know
Gread vid.. But how do you move so easy on the ground arround the plane? Hehehe found it :P
The 747-8’s airfoil is so efficient, you almost have to use speed breaks on every decent. That’s why the max altitude for the -8 is lower than the 400.
I always thought it was the high bypass engines that caused that
Walking dog no not at all.
Why do so many people say "breaks" when it is "brakes"... it is speed BRAKES, not BREAKS...
jeff are you going live tomoroww?
Good Video Jeff. The wings look off. The flex is all wrong, they angle up way more in flight. If they fix the flex i'm getting it.
Would like to see you land in Paro. Would hardest airport in the world.
Where’s you get your BFI scenery!!
747 likes, that's perfect
Omg so much going on lol
Dude you have to have the engine page in the lower EICAS to start the engines. Use the buttons to the right of theMCP.
Sometimes it looked like MSFS2020 from the outside

Yo I love the ssg 747-8 freeware you should try some more freeware aircraft!!
freeware?
Its not free..
This is XP11 and not the SSG v2.0 for XP10 version.
I mean I've got the freeware version. I got the freighter and the intercontinental on the forums.
@@lcfarms2140 The X-Plane 10 version with only a 2D cockpit is free. It comes with the -8i and the -8F. I haven't tried it, but you can.
Still not a fan of it. I'll stick with smaller planes for now or FS2020 to replace it.
I noticed only the 1 and 2 engine used reverse when applied
He said that at 41 minutes, clearly didn't watch the whole stream.
Hey Jeff
What scenery do you use ?
Can you do A330 please
When ever you say hooker up I think of Samantha from GTA...
Is that bad???
Shout out
He does not do that.
Cost Index cant be 3500 brother... more like 35 ?
While are the markets are crashing, Netflix and video games’ stocks are rising.
He's bald, bad ass
You have used GSX for this game
Yeah that's not how you start up a 747 at all.
Hey Jeff can you do a fly from Oklahoma City to El Paso Texas please man
TULSA
Can you sou jor hands
Never showed us the downstairs....
there is no downstairs
Jeff Favignano makes more sense must have missed that, sorry man Keep doing what your doing!! Great vids

My hometown
Hello
@Brennen Hess who cares. We all watch the same video.
@Brennen Hess no one asked you either *so pipe down and do as you're told*
You killing the best thing on this sim the plane's sound with that stupid music.
Do it better then give your opinion
Your face cam is very big
Jeff Simbrief gives you a cost index for the flight plan, and it seems accurate and calculated correctly in the V2.
it was giving me like 20's LOL
@@jfavignano 3500 is not a valid CI at all! You can use a value between 0 and 999. As an example, BAW uses 53 as standard CI in their 747 fleet.
