My uncle was the pilot-in-command of the first C-130 cargo plane of the Philippine Air Force which crashed in southern Luzon in the Philippines in Dec of 1993 while transporting aid to storm victims. Altho the situation was different because the crash happened in a mountainous area, I cringe watching this video even if it is not real because I can imagine how he felt when he realized that death was imminent seconds before the crash. I still miss him. He was a kind and good man! God bless his soul and those of the crew.

O piloto, a Boeing e o fabricante do trem de pouso estão de parabéns. Só aqui um avião de mais de cem toneladas bate no chão, não quebra o trem de pouso e o piloto não perde o controle. Absurdos tem limites. Taquepariu

Beautiful sharing
These landings would be much better if you had a stabilised approach close to the centreline and you flared at like 20 feet instead of flaring at 200 and then descending at 1,500fpm into the ground. But glad you are having fun, that's what matters. :) Did feel sorry for the landing gear though.

It is not real, but a realistic flight simulator called X-Plane 11. You cannot stop such a large aircraft in a short distance. Large aircraft including widebodies will usually require at least 8,000 ft to 10,000 ft adequate length required to land virtually any aircraft.

The biggest defect presented by these aircraft is the part that sits behind the stick. That's when a C172 student says to the B748 master pilot: Hello mate !!!

I need to e-mail Xplane. The wing (outboard) landing gear bogeys are supposed to be tilted 50 degrees down from forward to aft. The body (inboard) gears are at 28 degrees. In this sim, it appears they are all at 28 degrees. I believe the reason why Boeing increased the tilt all the way back to the 747-100 was to help correct for a wing low landing by having contact by the outboard landing gear help the aircraft re-acquire level flight as it was touching down on the other three gears. One of the chief reasons the 747 is pretty easy to land and the 767 (with a reverse (up) tilt from forward to aft) is not.

Practice makes perfect. Pilots and crews work on these situations so if they do (God forbid) happen they can manage the situation to a good out come.

That is what we call a smackdown lol. That first one was maybe barely within tolerances, but you definitely would've crippled air force 1 had the second been real. Others were also equally bad.

On Boeing 747s they need a significant amount of wing flex. Otherwise the wings would break. They're made of a very durable but flexible and light carbon fiber.

This is a simulated video. The plane cannot stop at such a short distance on touchdown . If the turbines touch the ground, they catch fire .
