    Big 4 pays well if you have leverage, basically be able to walk away from the hiring process if you need to when negotiating. I told them straight up that the salary was too low and that I would continue interviewing with other companies, they came back and were the top offer. In the end I went through three rounds of interviews and sold myself at each stage. Granted I have a lot of industry experience and came off very confident in my skills and knowledge.

      This is great if you have the experience like in your scenario. Really tough as a graduate and they certainly exploit graduates for very little compensation given most graduates are willing to sell their soul to get in the company 😁 (like I was hahaha)

    Hey!! I'm a rising senior in college in the US and just accepted a job with EY after graduation for technology consulting! This video was definitely helpful. Do you have any tips for me when I start working there? I feel like I have heard some horror stories about big 4 and I really just want to do as well as I can for at least a year or two.

      Just help your boss as much as possible and make them look as good as possible. Also, volunteer to own work and try to understand the workstream from start to finish. You should map out all of the steps necessary to implement and demonstrate that by the end you know your stuff and can lead the next project.

      Just saw this comment! My hours could be crazy - many nights i left the client office at 3am, only to return again at 8am. Many early mornings getting to the office at 6am. Plenty of nights working late at home.
      I don't know enough about M&A to give any meaningful advice

    Do KPMG hire software developers?

    • @TheProductPup
      @TheProductPup  2 года назад

      Every country and office is different but on the whole yes - you would just end up getting put on a client project, through kpmg or any other Big 4/ consulting company

      As a software dev, you can look at KPMG's lighthouse team which is their data science/machine learning team. Might be interesting to you.
