We went out on the bikes 2 days ago…we haven’t been on them for a while, so needless to say we have sore bums at the minute 🤣🤣🤣 The better weather will soon be here 👍😍

Definitely the Zaragoza aire is one to discover and explore. We would have stayed 2 nights if it hadn’t been so foggy there, as it’s so easy to access and the tram stop is right in front of the aire 👍😍

We were going to head towards Africa, down through Portugal, but then the weather forecast started looking unsettled…just as well we didn’t as they have had flash flooding 😱 Valencia’s was so funny…I am not comfy videoing in busy places (Derren doesn’t care), but when they started standing there watching us and taking photos/filming…it was just too funny not to leave it in the video 🤣🤣

We always wanted a warmer Christmas abroad, so this year with all the changes in our lives, we had to spend our first Christmas in Spain. They do take some space up but we normally use them every time we park, oh and I (Cassie) am such a professional with them now that I know exactly how to level up perfectly everytime, first time 😜👍😁

Yay you escaped the -9C we endured today! Looks lovely, well done on getting to the coast. Didn’t realise the snow chains were actually a legal requirement! 😱 five nights in Valencia, a well deserved stop after that long drive! Yay continental Lidl, cant beat it! ❤ expensive to spend a penny in Valencia! Love the travel card, what a smashing idea! The rain in spain falls mainly on Valencia unless Cassie gets that edit in! What do you want? 😂😂 Done practically every inch of Spain over several years of very long road trips! Our favourite Cities? Segovia and Granada by a massive mile. A lot of the others we round the windows up, admired touches of architecture and just kept driving.. Cant wait to see where you guys land next. Keep smashing xx
Minus 9 🥶🥶🥶 yikes 😱 Yes France is a legal requirement, if you get stuck and have no winter tyres or snow chains then the fine and charge is huge, along with the recovery cost, just the same as a random spot check and you can’t produce the chains…big fine. 5 days rest was needed, think we are going to stop at places 3/4 days now, give a chance to explore…if we manage to secure somewhere for Christmas 🤣😱 everything is full.. They sound interesting cities, may have to look into these further if they are recommended but the wonderful Gen X for sure 👍😍xx

You can imagine them spreading to even us at some point, especially given that there has been an accident on every single road in these parts over the last few days. 3/4 days is a nice amount of time for each place. In our roadtrip days think we did 2/3 but then your always afraid to unpack! Im sure you will find somewhere just perfect for Christmas 🤞♥️

Awe thank you what a really lovely comment 😍 We we’re going to go to Portugal, hence the other reason for going down the west side of France, but the weather forecast wasn’t looking great, and thankfully that spur of a moment change was the best decision, as Portugal has been experiencing really heavy rainfall and flash floods 😱 -10….how crazy, but then the predictions were that it was going to be a harsh winter due to the wonderful summer we had. Fingers crossed it doesn’t get much harsher for you, however a white Christmas would be beautiful 😊😊😊 Valencia was mad busy, and it’s really nice to now be away from a big city 👍😍 and editing on the road is ok on the long stretches without my navigation skills being needed…or the need to stretch out for a toll ticket…why they make them so difficult to reach I don’t know 🤣🤣 Take care, and hopefully not too much gets frozen off 🤣😜👍😍
18 degrees, that's my kind of temperature. I don't do hot lol. Loads of vans there, although we saw that many in Chester 😂 Funny, you two in shorts, and the locals in winter coats 😆 We're not country people but we don't like busy as you probably know by now.😁
18 degrees is perfectly comfortable enough to walk about in and not get sweaty, although all the locals are wrapped up as if we are in the Antarctic 🤣🤣 We know you don’t do busy, very much like us, and we were expecting it with Spain, but if we had the battery/solar back we would go off grid it - so many opportunities to park up here 👍😍😍

Hi Derren and Cassie, glad you got down there in one piece, we travelled through France to the Alps in December once, it was rather magical as the whole country was covered in this very thick frost, looks gorgeous against the blue skies. Valencia is a beautiful city lots of lovely architecture, we were there a couple of years ago, only for a day though, it was a stop over on a cruise, recognised a lot of the places in your video and passed that fountain you were stood by on the coach. Funny seeing you in a sun top Cassie after leaving chilly France, is it a shock to the system when there’s such a temperature change? I love your accent Derren, what part of the country are you from?
Hi Tracy, bet that was very beautiful to see the Alps like that. We dodged the mountains, purely due to tyres and snow chains requirement, but hopefully will visit them someday. Valencia is hugely stunning, but so busy...it was much quieter on the Monday than the Saturday though. Would we return here? Probably not, although the site we stayed on had the best wifi speeds we have ever experienced 👍 It was a bit of a shock to the system, as one minute it was thick cold fog up in the mountains, then literally in a second we had come through it and the sun was shining, so we were absolutely melting when we got to the first site 🤣 Derren is from Retford originally, which is in North Nottinghamshire 😍xx

Minus 9 🥶🥶🥶 yikes 😱 Yes France is a legal requirement, if you get stuck and have no winter tyres or snow chains then the fine and charge is huge, along with the recovery cost, just the same as a random spot check and you can’t produce the chains…big fine. 5 days rest was needed, think we are going to stop at places 3/4 days now, give a chance to explore…if we manage to secure somewhere for Christmas 🤣😱 everything is full..
They sound interesting cities, may have to look into these further if they are recommended but the wonderful Gen X for sure 👍😍xx

You can imagine them spreading to even us at some point, especially given that there has been an accident on every single road in these parts over the last few days. 3/4 days is a nice amount of time for each place. In our roadtrip days think we did 2/3 but then your always afraid to unpack! Im sure you will find somewhere just perfect for Christmas 🤞♥️

Awe thank you what a really lovely comment 😍 We we’re going to go to Portugal, hence the other reason for going down the west side of France, but the weather forecast wasn’t looking great, and thankfully that spur of a moment change was the best decision, as Portugal has been experiencing really heavy rainfall and flash floods 😱
-10….how crazy, but then the predictions were that it was going to be a harsh winter due to the wonderful summer we had. Fingers crossed it doesn’t get much harsher for you, however a white Christmas would be beautiful 😊😊😊
Valencia was mad busy, and it’s really nice to now be away from a big city 👍😍 and editing on the road is ok on the long stretches without my navigation skills being needed…or the need to stretch out for a toll ticket…why they make them so difficult to reach I don’t know 🤣🤣

18 degrees, that's my kind of temperature. I don't do hot lol. Loads of vans there, although we saw that many in Chester 😂 Funny, you two in shorts, and the locals in winter coats 😆 We're not country people but we don't like busy as you probably know by now.😁
18 degrees is perfectly comfortable enough to walk about in and not get sweaty, although all the locals are wrapped up as if we are in the Antarctic 🤣🤣
We know you don’t do busy, very much like us, and we were expecting it with Spain, but if we had the battery/solar back we would go off grid it - so many opportunities to park up here 👍😍😍

Hi Derren and Cassie, glad you got down there in one piece, we travelled through France to the Alps in December once, it was rather magical as the whole country was covered in this very thick frost, looks gorgeous against the blue skies. Valencia is a beautiful city lots of lovely architecture, we were there a couple of years ago, only for a day though, it was a stop over on a cruise, recognised a lot of the places in your video and passed that fountain you were stood by on the coach. Funny seeing you in a sun top Cassie after leaving chilly France, is it a shock to the system when there’s such a temperature change? I love your accent Derren, what part of the country are you from?

Valencia is hugely stunning, but so busy...it was much quieter on the Monday than the Saturday though. Would we return here? Probably not, although the site we stayed on had the best wifi speeds we have ever experienced 👍
It was a bit of a shock to the system, as one minute it was thick cold fog up in the mountains, then literally in a second we had come through it and the sun was shining, so we were absolutely melting when we got to the first site 🤣

Easy to get it wrong on foreign roads. When I was 18 I pulled out of a French petrol station and was thinking who is this idiot coming towards me on the wrong side of the road flashing his lights. Then I realised I was the idiot on the wrong side of the road. Chris.
