  • Join us as we end our journey through France and discover what Spain has to offer the motorhome traveller.
We are a retired couple and this is part 1 of our travels through Spain, going along both coastal routes and inland.
In this Spain Travel Video we show some of our motorhome travel road trip specifically along the Mediterranean coastline.
We use solar and battery power for all our needs as we wild camp for most of the time.
We also use Aires and some paid campsites on admin and washing days.!
Our motorhome has been upgraded and modified to fully electric only, no gas, using our Victron and Roamer batteries setup.
All the upgrade videos, showing exactly what we done, are right here:
    • Off Grid Motorhome Pro...
This series of travel vdeos is to help others like us find motorhome stop over places and Aires in Spain. As wel as France, and later on, Portugal.
Stopovers in Spain are easy during the months that we travelled and we are hoping this can help you form your Spain travel guide for campers, vans and for motorhomes alike.
This is our first Europe roadtrip and we are hoping to really find out what vanlife and full time motorhome living Portugal is all about.

I love the way your day trips are not polished and that you note how many times you get lost.

      Hi Trashcan
yes, we did look at something like that also.
Now it's getting hotter, we're wearing less, so less washing n drying...!

Hi fellow nomads! Really nice content you are presenting. Jealous! We only just started documenting our journey buy only rarely dare to air our drone. I am interested in your gear... You have a new subscriber!

      Hi Jacob and Maggie,
Thank you for you kind comments. You have a nice channel too.
The more you use the drone, the more confident you will become. I was nervous at first, but now feel I can fly it anywhere..!
I use a Insta 360 and Sony camcorder for my filming. Seems to work ok.
      Happy travels

Can you do a video about how to fully secure bikes to the bike rack, as I know that some cable locks are trash and I am trying to think of a better way to lock them up to the rack. How do you secure your bikes, lets have a look please?

    • @TheWrinklyNomads
      @TheWrinklyNomads  5 месяцев назад

      Hi Paul,
Might show that in a future video, but we use a KryptoFlex™ Double Loop Cable high security lock.
We lock both bikes to the actual bike rack where it is attached to the motorhome.
This is a link to it:
      amzn.to/43J1T9I
We also use an audible motorbike disk lock as a double precaution, especially at night.
This is the link as well:
      amzn.to/3TH2KmH
      Hope that helps you 👍

@@TheWrinklyNomads Thank you so much for this. I have already ordered both locks from Amazon. I am a bit overly worried and perhaps wrongfully so, as I have read that Florence (Italy) has a high rate of RV break ins due to massive illegal immigration there, stealing and wrecking vans to get in, I am going there this summer and I am very worried. So trying to secure the van as much as I can. Thanks for your advice. I hope I will be okay traveling there, its a long trip though to Italy by road. Bye!

As her spouse and as long as we travel together, I get all the European rights she has. 👍🏼

Just out of curiosity what payload did you budget for to be able to live fulltime travelling?

    • @TheWrinklyNomads
      @TheWrinklyNomads  Год назад

      Hi Simon,
If you mean total motorhome payload, we are rated at 3850kg.
Soon to be uprated again to 4000kg [air suspension has been fitted to do this]
I only weighed the motorhome full, just to make sure we weren't overweight, so don't really know the actual payload I'm afraid.
      ATB, Steve

@@TheWrinklyNomads Thanks for replying. My research shows that people recommend having the ability to load at least 750kgs payload for all the things you will need for fulltime motorhoming. My wife and I don't pack lightly so I was wondering how much spare payload you have. The air suspension is a bonus and I'll keep that in mind. Thanks in advance.
