Johnny Lucas why would they do that? If they did that the shoe wouldn't be as special and they wouldn't make nearly as much money to donate if they did that.
Jordan Hexem £10 for a raffle £890 even if they are 100K that's 8.9Million -since a lot of ppl want a pair, £10-20 off whatever a retail pair would be add up over time ~ 1 million pairs @ £10 is 10 million Only difference is when they get the money instant or over time (sales)
Are the shoes from the auction like the ones to be sold later this year. I'm a huge fan of Back to the Future but don't think I can buy a raffle ticket right now.
Big fan of the franchise and I can't get a pair because they made only 89. They should have made 1 year of production at $500 a pair and donate half the proceeds to the MJF foundation.
Dude, 89? Seriously? There's hundreds of thousands if not over a million fans of the BTTF movies out there. 20,000 units still a very limited production at $500 each it's a lot more money than 89 units even at $20K each
Alejandro Rodriguez MacFarland they will be raising millions they way they are doing it now. In 30 minutes there were 25,000 entrees of $10 each. I predict that they will easily raise over $10 million compared to the very small amount of money they would make off of selling 20,000 for $500 each. I doubt they would have even made any money at all if they sold them for $500 because of the high manufacturing cost and the amount that they would have to pay to the retailers and other things like that.
If it was guaranteed to get these, I would pay like $500 or so for these. They should have mass produced them, and I would have payed a lot. That would be SO LIT! The thing is, I won't pay for enough raffle tickets to have even a remote chance of winning. Almost no one has a chance unless they buy hundreds of tickets probably
It won't be too long until we get faster lacing ones. They definitely know how to do it, but they'll make more money long-term if they release multiple generations of products rather than just releasing the exact replica straight away.
Why can't they make non tech versions. I love the way these look, but I am not a huge fan of the lights, and can definitely live without the self-lacing I would buy these if they were like $120
I'm already thinking of which rappers (and other big balling celebrities) will be hiring people to buy raffles for them or simply paying nike employees big money for a pair.
what a waste of a cool ass shoe.. only 81 Pairs made? cmon dude you wanna make money for his disease make a ton of them and sell them so people can buy them and not spend a couple grand on the lucky people who wins them.
Damn so useful for people who have Parkinson Disease *Raffel only in sizes... Oh um how bout that other Self Lacing shoe nike made? *$200 Oh...welp good thing I got Vans Slip On
Tanto rollo con las zapatillas más caras del mundo y te venden en eBay por 400 euros, una imitación casi perfectas que incluso se atan como las originales y te aorras 5000 pavos
a decade to work on this ? what the hell you guys been doing? i mean 10 years? give this to samsung R&D , they probably can make it happen in a year . personally these kind of shoes , people will buy it but no one will go around using it . it gonna be in some freaking shoe box for collection or in a display cabinet.
just one more basic skill humanity will lose to technology...lacing and tieing shoes? emerging market where ppl will pay a premium for that hipster retro inspired classic laced shoe...smh
@gustavo Gutierrez Before you go calling someone a dummy. That is not how it is being advertised for medical purposes but for fashion. Thank you very much. Also get your life.
It's over 30 years old and it's still futuristic. The irony lol
i cant have them but im just happy they exist
"power laces!....Alright!!!!.." "Perfect!....you're the spitting-image of your future son!!!!...."
+Bull&Skones Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett Brown respectively.
I will wait for Ebay version of that.
I'm commenting from internet explorer so it might be kind of slow but HAPPY NEW YEARS 2012!!
I'm from the future. Don't go to 2020. I don't recommend it.
damn it just Mass produce them already!
Johnny Lucas why would they do that? If they did that the shoe wouldn't be as special and they wouldn't make nearly as much money to donate if they did that.

Thats a $100,000 shoe for sure. whoever wins the raffle and sells them will be all set :)
djchino more like 25k
It's a $10,000 shoe. Could always get a used car haha
yeah if youre gonna die 5 years. 100k isnt much if youre young but it will be a boost.
Yeah, no.
they had an auction in 2011 where that was the only pair in the world, and that only sold for.around 5000......try again
Are the shoes from the auction like the ones to be sold later this year. I'm a huge fan of Back to the Future but don't think I can buy a raffle ticket right now.
this is literally a dream come true for me to see these be made so many childhood memories .now how in the hell can i beats these raffle
odds
Buy a shit ton of online raffle tickets to increase odds
Why they are so rare and limited? Does Nike don't have enough material to make more?
I have been waiting for years for these !!!
I wonder how many will win then and just sell them for a boat tone on ebay?
Dustin Connell at least 10-20 people I'm guessing.
And you thought the resale value of a pair of Pigeon Dunks were outrageous
Big fan of the franchise and I can't get a pair because they made only 89. They should have made 1 year of production at $500 a pair and donate half the proceeds to the MJF foundation.

They'll be coming out you know counterfeit ones just for a few dollars!
eldaftbro if Nike couldn't get that tech until now then I don't think people would be able to make fakes.
they probably could make a clone. but I'm betting it'll burn or explode on your feet
why can't these be mass produced 😩 😩
Because they'd probably cost $700 a pair
Lukas Trapp they said its to hard to make them
they will one day
It's a very simple contraption. Look it up. No way it's hard to make them.
Because people pay more if they sell only a couple for thousands of dollars.
I'm feeling lucky.... How much are they?!
Z Holliday raffle tickets are $10 each. Resell value will be over $20,000
USB or parallel?
If it was guaranteed to get these, I would pay like $500 or so for these. They should have mass produced them, and I would have payed a lot. That would be SO LIT! How much is it?
When can i buy them
The Greatest day in human history...HIS-TOR-REE!
that day will come when these shoes go on re-tail and theres more than 89 pairs.
Doesn't work exactly like the film. In the film the strap also self tightens round the ankle and the light turns on automatically
I totally expected Jeff Bakalar to be at thing, and trying them on.
do that have them on size 5.5
so nike is going the way of apple tell you about how great but not actually showing. did i miss it when it laced up
They showed it when it laced up, and this is Cnet's video not Nikes
So much failing...much cringe.
This sets a dangerous precedent for Chinese knockoffs
Imagine the hoverboard situation, now imagine it on your feet. Not a fun time
It won't be too long until we get faster lacing ones. They definitely know how to do it, but they'll make more money long-term if they release multiple generations of products rather than just releasing the exact replica straight away.
already know those shoes are already impossible to ever get
I would be that rich guy if I had millions to spare. Like honestly, I want these shoes so badly rn.
Well crap. I didn't register for the raffle. Ehh I could wait until they float on Ebay
Power laces!
I want one!
What happens when they get wet with all the tech in them?
Can't see why they can't just install a more powerful motor for faster lacing...
Why can't they make non tech versions. I love the way these look, but I am not a huge fan of the lights, and can definitely live without the self-lacing I would buy these if they were like $120
ARandomRUclipsr they do have non tech versions. I have a pair. They came out in 2011 and are selling for around $5,000 now.
We are only a year late but good job!
So stepping into a puddle and getting electrocuted is a thing now ( - _ -")
I'm already thinking of which rappers (and other big balling celebrities) will be hiring people to buy raffles for them or simply paying nike employees big money for a pair.
i mean , maybe Nike can some with no self lacing tech to the public around the world...
What anti-aging cream is she using?!
maybe it's just Doc's face mask
Idk why they keep making stuff what short supplies that's the same thing with jordans
it's the pepsi perfect fiasco all over again, except even more limited
its all about money and they say money doesnt bring happiness.
Jay Green Jordan makes so many shoes now. They release a new shoe almost every day and are super easy to get.
Let me get that sz. 9 Big fella
wait a couple months and then we all hear that these things are blowing up on peoples feet
Why does Tiffany Beers look like Jane Doe from the Blindspot.
they tighten much faster in the movie.
what a waste of a cool ass shoe.. only 81 Pairs made? cmon dude you wanna make money for his disease make a ton of them and sell them so people can buy them and not spend a couple grand on the lucky people who wins them.
Call me when they sell a size 10 1/2 in 4W or 5W
If somebody wins these you better believe their gonna sell it for money rather wear it
Damn so useful for people who have Parkinson Disease
*Raffel only in sizes...
Oh um how bout that other Self Lacing shoe nike made?
*$200
Oh...welp good thing I got Vans Slip On
Size 13, I'm there.
Fml I wished so hard I could buy this :(((((
And yet no hoverboards :'(
Only 89 pairs you have a better chance finding a needle in a haystack!!
I just hope it doesn't blow up like the galaxy note 7 lol
air mag*
Size 15 Here
Fml
89 pairs, 10$ for a chance to get one. wew lads
wow
I don't understand why they just mass produce this.
Cool, I jus happen to be an 11))
Tuko Pomwene me too
I'm an 11.5, but I think I could squeeze them in. 😃
Tuko Pomwene lmao. You actually think you will be able to buy a pair.
you don't need to squeeze in. nike says buy the next size up and it will conform to your size
Even if I was rich I wouldn't cop them - I don't know if it just me but 50k seems too much for a sneaker lol.
yaaaaaa I am size 9
Getting electrocuted: Cool Edition
the future came one year too late
wait for Apple to copy this thing and sue Nike
Tanto rollo con las zapatillas más caras del mundo y te venden en eBay por 400 euros, una imitación casi perfectas que incluso se atan como las originales y te aorras 5000 pavos
89 pair left this sucks
So they still can’t tie themselves 😂
So.... they look like ski boots.
lol I guess it's to futuristic for mass production
Straight pooped on "yeezys"
Elijah Guerrero not even close.
and then this will be like a million dollars on ebay :V
...sucks that the new ones that are going into production look so shit. My opinion of course.
This shoe goes for 50k
IT'S STILL SLOW
a decade to work on this ? what the hell you guys been doing? i mean 10 years? give this to samsung R&D , they probably can make it happen in a year .
personally these kind of shoes , people will buy it but no one will go around using it . it gonna be in some freaking shoe box for collection or in a display cabinet.
Custom Marty McFly’s @Snuffycofficial
What! No size 44/10!???😡
Fayde Seven would you really wear the shoe tho. If you were to win or get a pair then you could flip it for $20,000+
cant wait to see black ppl figthing for this....
BTTF all day I'll buy it but fuk u What's taking so long? 😲
Can I fly with those? 7u7
2016 was a joke 1 year to late NIKE Buttheads hahaha.. need to be sold in stores
just one more basic skill humanity will lose to technology...lacing and tieing shoes? emerging market where ppl will pay a premium for that hipster retro inspired classic laced shoe...smh
