Lou.....you're so right, when I was 19 in 83 I had a 79 Yamaha RD 400 Dayton special, expansion chambers, dropped bars, re-sets, jetted and carb filtered. It was indeed pure bliss, I loved that bike.
Only 15 and it's the best. Got to ride one as a child, never forget the feeling. Learning clutch on a 2 stroke rn and when the power band kicks in, just pure joy and bliss
Back torque limiting clutches aren't needed on 2 strokes. Bang down the gears as fast as you like and it will just over rev cause there is very little braking on a 2 stroke.
2 strokes are done and dusted as far as being road legal, they would never pass the emission regs for type approval,i work for an importer of bikes and we are having issues with the new euro5 regs at the moment.
While what you say is true, this is not a road bike, it is for the track only, either as a trackday bike or as a racer, so 'type approval' for road-usage is irrelevant.
Two-strokes must never die.
They are dying, and are technically already dead
Love the sound of a nice two stroke bike.
If you are of a certain age, the noise and smoke this bike makes is pure bliss.
18 years old and it's still pure bliss
:D
I'm only 16 and I love the sound and smell of a 2 stroke 😍

2 stroke + dry clutch = 😍😍😍
i'm not a big fan of two strokes, but this thing gives me goosebumbs
Please please make a road legal version!!!
+adolf it costs around 125k euro. Which is still a lot. A road version would still be extremely expensive.
Probaly woudn't get through emission testing :(
Could just get a regoed 2 stroke 500 and fabricate this motor into it and fairings, suspension setup etc, ;)
The closest I ever came to a bike like this was the Aprilia RS 250 I raced a few years ago... But, this thing with almost 200hp!!!
Uma obra de arte! Já é lendária!
_does this dry sump clutch system has this slipper assist from downshifting?_
